POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE AFTER BEING PAID IN FULL…read more We had a new roof installed by them a little over a year and a half ago. A few months after it was completed, my wife and I were on the back deck and bats started flying past our heads. I went in and got my spotlight and sure enought, there was a gaping hole in the corner where the roof meets the wall and there was insulation on the roof and a bat staring out the hole at me. I immediately reached out to Luke, whom I had been dealing with throughout the entirety of the process and sent him a picture of the problem area. He informed me he is no longer with them but he reached out to the owner who offered to come out and put a piece of flashing there for $200. We already paid thousands of $ for a new roof and gutters and this should have been done correctly the first time. To offer to come finish the job they'd already been paid for and charge me for it was an insult. Not to mention he didn't even address the bat issue which was clearly a direct result of them not doing their job correctly. Once I heard the owner's response, it was clear to me how they do business so I just figured I'd deal with it on my own. After trying a couple things on my end, the issue persisted so we called a company to come take care of it. Well, it's costing me $1300. I reached back out and informed the owner of the situation and as expected, he's not taking responsibility so I'm out an additional $1300 PLUS I now have to remove and replace all the insulation in my attic. In addition to all that, The gutter guys showed up on a random day and time in a rust bucket truck and not in uniform which was really odd. I had no idea they were even coming that day and no one called prior to their arrival. The roofers also knocked out my internet. I work from home and it took almost a week to get it fixed. I'm a business owner myself so I don't take leaving negative reviews lightly but the lack of care and resolution to a problem that is so obvioulsly directly related to their crew's negligence, I felt implored to warn people about the way they treat customers after being paid in full. If I were you, I would call someone else and avoid being treated the way we were.

We received 4-5 bids for repairs, our main concern being whether there was wood rot and water damage to the main structure. We ended up going with Eliseo at Midtown Stucco and I'm so glad we did. We were very pleased with the quality of his work and his experience. Eliseo was super easy to work with and answered all our questions. In our case, there was no significant water damage beneath the stucco, and he did an outstanding job matching up our old and new stucco. The hardest part for us was understanding how long it would take for our job to be complete and being patient for the whole process to be finished! It was mid-fall when we were ready to start (we also had our house repainted first), and we did have to wait a few extra weeks until the temps were good and no rain/snow in the forecast. Eliseo was great about keeping in touch via text message. It took about two days to remove and replace the stucco, and then a week to set before painting. Took off a star because he didn't always actually show up at the time he said he would, but in the general time frame. Also, he did not paint the trim, just the body, left a little bit of trash afterward, and got some paint on the garage door. We don't mind doing the trim work and the garage door clean up as it's common, but just pointing it out. I will definitely call Eliseo if we ever need stucco repaired again and would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone who needs a quality stucco repair at a reasonable price! If I had known then, what I know now, I would have secured additional quotes from other experience roofers. I do not have issue with the workmanship of the 3 kick-out flashings your employee/contractor. As far as I'm concerned, he's a true craftsman's. I do, however, have issue with what you quoted as related to the amount of time spent on the project and the cost of the materials. If I had known your employee would spend less than 45 minutes at my house I would have gotten additional quotes. I believe the cost of materials (what I would have paid for the parts): Materials: $3.00, 3 each, 8 x 8 Step flashing, modified to be a kick-out flashing $1.00 each $1.00, 12 nails - Less than a $1.00 $7.00, 1 - Partial tube of caulking $11.00 total cost of materials Labor Charge out Rate: $700 less $11.00 equals $689 for less than 45 minutes of labor. My math shows your charge out rate of $918 an hour. You may recall, I mentioned these facts to you when you advised me the work had been completed. I'm going to pay this bill because I did not get additional quotes. I hope others will learn from my mistake of not receiving a second quote.
