I had a leak from a bathroom upstairs. I feared it would cause mold. I had requested quotes from 3 places. Green Planet was the first to come out. If you want water damage resolved quickly, they are what you are looking for. They were not the cheapest quote but they were the fastest. I got quotes from other places that included drywall repair but they were a few days out. So I decided to go with Green Planet because they could start immediately. The only thing was that their quote didn't include drywall repair. I was told it's another dept and I would need to get a quote or I can find my own handyman. Ok how much can it be? Well after the water damage was resolved, I started getting quotes for drywall repair. I found out it was very expensive. Green Planet took over the whole insurance and remediation process, managing with State Farm directly, and more than doubling their initial payout. They have several specialized teams, each focused on a different remediation process. All their team leads were professional, communicated very well, and answered my questions thoroughly. Their office kept me updated daily on what teams would be coming next and where I was in the remediation process. We finally moved back to our home and, while the process was stressful, some of my neighbors seem to have a much harder time that we did. I didn't have an asbestos/lead report for my home, he arranged for testing, they came by the very next day and gave me the all clear that night. I live in the Palisades, my house survived the fire, but is only 750 ft . away from the first burned down house. I needed major remediation. Someone referred me to Green Planet and I am so happy I went with their company. David Cohen , the project manager and Aurielle , the office manager were so competent, responsive , and so nice to work with. The price was reasonable compared to other remediation companies that I spoke to. I must have called Aurielle a million times. She and David were very responsive to my calls. Besides all the soot and ash covering everything, I also had lead. This was a major concern. They did a special abatement because of that. The house was retested after the cleaning and was clear of any lead. The cleaning crew was phenomenal. They cleaned every inch of the house, even washed the walls, as well as cleaning and organizing every little thing in the house. In the kitchen they washed every dish, utensil, etc. They even cleaned and organized my garage. My biggest concern was my furniture. I have a white couch and 4 young grandsons and my couch looks sparkling white again! Green Planet did a great job and was very thorough. I have several friends who lost their houses and my heart goes out to them and the people who needed to evacuate. Green Planet has done a phenomenal job rescuing my condo from a flood by answering my 2 am phone call promptly last Nov 21! Genner came out with his crew by 4 am to suck up the water and set up dryers for a week. Then the tear down crew came to take out two feet of drywall, the flooring, and the kitchen. The rebuilding process was terrific, led by outstanding Zoey Ben, who planned the demolition and renovation perfectly and led the crew, which included Sapir, Tony Hernandez, Rolando, and others. The water damage occurred on my property on a Sunday and I called 5 different places before finding them, only company willing to come out that day. Mind you within 3 hours they were there with 2 restoration trucks and 5 guys to assist with a flooding my house experienced with 2 inches of water throughout. Can't tell you how stressful this whole process would have been if I hadn't had their support. They were able to mitigate all the damage and clean most of the water up within 2 to 3 hours of their arrival. Since working with them and my insurance company everything has gone smoothly. Upon discovering this, and getting inspections & quotes from 5 different remediation companies, I ended up hiring Green Planet. I'm a contractor who uses Green Planet Restoration to do my mold remediations. I have never seen a more organized, more professional outfit than Green Planet. They can usually begin a mold remediation within 24 hours and sometimes even same day. They go above and beyond to keep my clients safe. The machines always look brand new so they must keep updating with the latest and best technology. The containment is the so detailed they use multiple sheets of containment per opening, they use heavy duty tape to ensure the containments doesn't just rip off the walls. And then they even go the extra mile to add zippers for access that ensure a consistent containment they still have access to. I have done over thirty jobs with them and have yet to have an issue. I've been doing construction for a long time and it's rare to find a company who cares about their clients and my clients the way Green Planet does. At this point I barely talk to Efi because his team handles everything so well but it's amazing to have the personal touch of the owner always being willing to take my call if I need something urgent. They violated numerous codes and did not get permits and their workmanship and products they use are of extremely poor quality . They Fraudulently tried to get me to pay them in full before work was completed or inspected and did not want the mortgage company's endorsement on my insurance issued check and wanted to deposit the full amount into their B of A bank account after only 5 1/2 days of poor performance and damaging my home with holes in the walls, breaking a sewer pipe and cracking entry way marble when removing water damaged wall base boards. They did not use insulation behind the poor quality drywall used per code or use the correct texture to match my other existing walls , etc. Did not clean up or make my home safe after each day. Their scope of work given to the insurance company was totally inaccurate and they did not consult this homeowner before submitting their estimate to my insurance company . Did not legally list on their contract the total amount of the job. Refused to give me my copies for 7 weeks. After the fact. So many questionable business practices to list them all. Even if someone recommends them. My personal experience has been nothing but an on going nightmare . Then they have the nerve to constantly submit numerous invoices of different amounts weekly to me since they abandoned and then terminated for not following legal procedures and insurance protocols and for work never actually performed. They deserve a zero rating. No Quality workmanship or products , they use unskilled workers and their management personal Ronit B. is rude and disrespectful . They Abandoned the job because I refused to hand over my full insurance check before it was endorsed by the mortgage company and before any substantial quality work was performed. From the first meeting with David Malka with Green Planet Restoration, I knew what the process of getting my home rebuilt after extensive water damage throughout my house would be. David answered all my questions extremely well. When the hurricane came through my area earlier this year and revealed many exposed roof areas. And those exposed areas let the rainwater in, and caused a ceiling to collapse in some areas, floor flooding and staining ceilings in other areas. Also wall damage around windows. So I needed a roof redo as well as extensive interior repair. David assured me that Green Planet works closely with insurance companies, speaking their language, with insurance and costs of labor and materials and services. To get everything approved, so there would be no out of pocket expenses I would incur, except for my deductible. Which the insurance took out the first check that they sent. As it turned out. I would have to pay for the roof redo out of pocket. Insurance denied the roof expense. It turned out to be a justified expense denial. So Green Planet Restoration quoted me a very fair price to have my roof redone, and I chose Green Planet to do the work. They did an excellent job. Yet because of the common language between the insurance company and Green Planet, ALL the interior work for the damage done and repair work needed. Was approved by the insurance. I was amazed. And ever so glad. For all work the performed by the various departments of Green Planet Restoration. I would just like to say MY experience with ALL the different departments and those working in them has been Top Notch. To include any interaction with the office and administration. Rebuilding the damage in my home was nerve wracking to me, especially when I was not sure the insurance would cover everything being done. Yet each step of the way. Each department eased my concerns.
