They do attics too…read more This winter I had giant icicles all the way around the house, and a lot of ice on the roof, triggering a leak in the front porch. My neighbors suggested I might have an insulation problem. Out of the blue, BSQ called me (actually, looking for my late mother) to follow up on older files and the sump pump in my basement. "Oh by the way we have now branched into attics and insulation." Funny you should say that.... and within a few minutes I had scheduled a free attic inspection. Before the agent visit, I received a detailed booklet by mail describing the need for insulation, the types on the market, and what type was appropriate given our climate. it also contained a mini survey of the problems observed, which the agent would later use to calculate the quote. The agent went into the attic and took a series of photos and measurements. He confirmed that my leak was not from any hole in the roof (there wasn't one visible), but from condensation caused from inadequate insulation. The insulation that was up there was the original when the house was built -- about 60 years old, matted and dirty, and not helping the house at all. He recommended cellulose that would be blown in; it would never deflate, it was waterproof, fire retardant and pest resistant too. And he was eager to correct the poor impression BSQ had made during the earlier sump pump installation. The installation took about 11 hours. I lost track of how many bags came out of the attic -- I think Petro counted 40.  They kept me updated with their progress throughout the day.  I was a little nervous about the front door open for hours on end, but fortunately there were no squirrels or birds or other unwanted visitors.  It was not too noisy, I was able to hear easily during phone calls. They did blow a circuit at one point but we went downstairs and figured out which circuit to reset. A display of plastic collectibles fell on the floor, but none of them broke.  After they left I saw there was a hook in the closet that got bent out of shape, and a small piece of sugar art broken. But these were minor issues. The team was also very good about cleaning up their mess, both inside and outside. The trapdoor to the attic is through a bedroom closet at the back of the house. They put down tarps on the floor, the furniture, the exposed items in the room. They took away all the bags of old insulation. I just had to sweep up a few crumbs afterwards, and put the shelving back. One heads-up I wanted to share: It took a couple of weeks to empty out the closet where the trapdoor is. There were lots of books and magazines on the side shelves, and I had never seen the floor of this closet. Some of the items were older than I am, and every single thing needed a new, if temporary, home. Definitely a positive experience, although the true test of the insulation will probably only be seen next winter.

Systemes Sous-Sol is an amazing company. They are honest and look out for your best interest…read more They send an engineer to assess your needs and do not try to sell you repairs you do not need. We had an issue with sloped floors and we needed to stabilize the house since lifting it was not an option (too expensive, causing major interior damage, etc.). Mike Costello was our rep and he was very knowledgeable and helpful. The team, headed by Yuri Melnick, sent to execute the work was unbelievable. They worked tirelessly, professionally and as cleanly as was possible in this kind of job. The project was done exactly in the time frame contracted and to our utmost satisfaction. We do not hesitate to recommend this company for any kind of foundation issues and then some. Jack, Dollard-des-Ormeaux

Groundwork's crew were awesome from the initial quote process to final completion. Christian was great in the sales process and Mikah Ramos and Mickey Snip were excellent in the solution. They removed all the old insulation along with the rodent waste, cleaned out our crawlspace and sealed it all up to prevent rodents from coming in. Worksite was left cleaner than when they arrived and they were super efficient. Price wasn't the cheapest but it was fair value (they do have a good and easy 0% interest financing option) and they were able to schedule the work much sooner than other places. Would thoroughly recommend Groundwork's.

They handed me off to a General Manager John M. Who was supposed to put out the fire so to speak. He just showed up with gasoline. There was always a reason why he couldn't resolve the issue. In the end my frustration led me to just tell him to forget it. I still have an unsealed entrance way and am really not getting any where with that. I have had to take off 5 work days for the original job, and 5 more for all the "fixes". I am absolutely beside myself as to how we have been treated by this company. Each time there is a new rep assure us that they will get the job done only to be ghosted. Alvin , John M. Two managers . Have not gotten it done.

The next day, when my sump pump failed, Todd returned and installed replacements. Todd listened to my concerns and repeatedly went out of his way to help me. He noticed things in the environment that needed a little fix here or there and he fixed them, not charging me extra. Todd took time to help me understand the issues in my basement so that I'm knowledgable about my home in the future. Todd charged a VERY fair price for his services and charged me nothing for repeated trips. I highly recommend All Dry Basement Solutions. If they could work in other areas of my home, I'd never hire anyone else. Todd also has good people working with him. Both Cara and David were professional, responsive, knowledgeable and nice. Thank you so much!!!

So, they surely have a hell of a salesmen as the end product was not at all what I expected nor was told. To preface, I bought a 175-year-old house with a stone foundation that was bowing. Larry told me I'd get two new foundation walls; it would take two weeks & I would get updates daily. I got one update from Mike 1.0, he seemed nice. Work stalled a lot in the beginning. Seems like they only worked every other day when I was told by the salesmen "once we start a job were there until it ends, we don't bounce guys around" whatever, things happen. Two weeks in when the job was supposed to be complete, I go to check on the progress, and my basement is completely flooded with 4-5 inches of standing water. Somebody had shut the sump drainage hose in the basement door pinching in likely while racing out on Friday. I text Mike 1.0 who informs me he hasn't even worked for the company in over a week. Lovely update! Mike 2.0 the new foremen was nice. Sucked he had to apologize profusely for the way the company's leadership is. I had requested several times for Todd to call me or meet with me to go over the issues. Still haven't heard from him. Four weeks later now the job is "done" & not at all what I was expecting. Poured walls halfway, House isn't even sitting on new "foundation" I was told I was getting. Was charged almost 2 grand for "basement clean out and debris removal" when the debris was tossed into my cistern and the basement is in the same state as it was before. Not sure what they cleaned out or removed (besides the already functional & existing sump pump and corresponding extension cords) Charged almost 5 grand for a sump pump that's duck taped together and leaking at the discharge directly back into the foundation. All in all, would not recommend. Office lady is kind whenever she answers. Company has a serious communication issue. Your foremen's need a raise for having to answer for the company's shortcomings, because the owner surely does not.
