We had Mark come out to inspect our basement and provide an estimate. We were provided an great price and decided to proceed with the work. Mark, Melvin and Joe completed the job over a two day period (we have a very large basement) and we enjoyed having them here. He pleaded guilty for grand larceny for scamming customers in 2021 and is supposed to be on probation for 5 years, so I am unsure how he can operate in the same industry while under probation. I had to push him to finish 2 concrete projects at my home in 2021, for which he kept blaming delays on the concrete companies, only completed the job when I threatened to fire him, finished work at 9pm and thought we would pay him by looking at slabs by flashlight/truck headlights. He told us he was done, but when we refused to pay, he came back the next day and had to work another 6 hrs! I had a 1 year warranty built into our contract. When the concrete starting flaking within 6 months, I tried to contact him and he ghosted me. We are now just dealing with the flaking and I never want him on our property again. If I could give a zero rating, I would have.

Rick came to my home to inspect a foundation issue caused by water erosion. He told me the repair…read morewould be simple, take very little time, and cost less than $1,000. He said he would send me a written estimate and schedule the repair. After that, I never heard from him again. I followed up multiple times by text and email and received no response. If they weren't interested in the job, a simple message would have been appreciated. Instead, I was completely ghosted. Based on my experience, I can't recommend this company.

In July 2020, we had a few businesses come to give us estimates on correcting our basement water…read moreproblems. We already had been using a sump pump and there were French drains that weren't performing properly. We decided to use Rapid Response as a medium cost estimate. Rick himself came to give us the estimate but on the day of the work, it was just the young guys who would do the heavy work. We had asked to have the location of the sump pump hole moved because it had been located right next to the boiler. We thought that was a wise move. The work was done quickly, within two days. The new discharge location seemed to be a good choice. But we were disappointed that the discharge pipe was only placed literally inches below the ground. Which absolutely guaranteed freezing in the winter. Now there is a freeze discharge above the ground but that in itself created a new problem. Within three months of the installation, we had three sump pumps burn out! Christmas morning that year, which we had rain and 60 degrees, we had 6" of water in the basement and had to call the fire department to pump us out! When the alarm had gone off on Christmas Eve that the sump pump wasn't working, attempts to reach Rick went unheeded. He did finally arrive after the fire department came to help us and installed a different sump pump. As an extra precaution, a few days later he installed a second sump pump in the same hole as a back up. We are happy to say they have lasted so far. However, last spring as the ground was still frozen and the discharge pipe was still frozen, we had a great deal of rain. The sump pump was discharging twice a minute. However, with the freeze discharge being right beside a basement window, as much water was just going back into the basement as was being discharged! I called and emailed pictures to Rick for help....but still have never heard a response. This begs our concerns if either of the sump pumps fail that we will get a response from Rick. And this spring, we are realizing that the water being discharged from the sump pump is flooding our septic drainage fields. Contacting our septic company, they felt that a responsible basement business person would have asked us about where our septic fields were. And would have directed the sump discharge in a different direction. Long story... BEWARE dealing with Rapid Response!

Our experience with Cody Locci was absolutely terrible! When he came out to give the quote, he gave…read moreus the impression of someone who was professional and responsible, and told us he did the majority of the work himself and oversaw everyone who worked for him. I hired him to replace a slate roof with shingles, install gutters, and repair some damaged areas in the wood around the house. On the day the project was to start, Cody showed up with several workers (including a small child) and then Cody left without telling me. It was over 95 degrees and he left the workers to do the roof in the heat alone. When the workers were removing the slates, they were throwing them off the roof onto the live electrical wires coming into the house and also the wires that ran from the house to the barn, causing significant damage to the wires (we have this on video). I called Cody and talked to him about it, he said he would tell them not to do that but did not return, however he did say the wires would be repaired. The work continued, and they finished the roof and installed a gutter completely opposite to what I had asked them to do, saying it couldn't be done the way we had originally discussed. He told me the job was done and I had to remind him that he had not repaired the wood in numerous areas as promised, and hadn't repaired the electrical wires which had exposed metal wire showing. He wrapped electrical tape on the wires and told me they were fine, and then tacked up a few boards over the old wood. We had started having electrical issues in the barn, which was clearly due to the damage from his workers. He had a friend come over who was an electrician who told me the issue was not related. Two other electricians come and gave me quotes and both told me it was definitely due to the damage from the slate tiles. In the interim, the gutter he installed was leaking and coming unattached from the building. Cody refused to fix the issues and became very unprofessional in our subsequent conversations, and then just stopped responding. I had to hire an electrician to repair the wires, who informed me I was lucky our home and barn hadn't burned down. I also had to get another company to replace the gutters Cody installed, since they were literally falling off the house. That company told me the gutters Cody put up were not attached to any beams and had literally been tacked to the 200 year old facia boards. All in all, it was a terrible experience dealing with Cody, and one that ended up costing thousands of dollars more with the extra expenses to fix what his workers did wrong.

Cody started as…read morea professional contractor, however as the project got more involved, it was clearly beyond his level of skill and he began to show a lack of professionalism. We originally brought him in for exterior work, and then an interior basement remodel. The interior basement remodel seemed to be beyond his skill level. He made executive decisions on a house that he did not own without asking permission from us. He framed out the walls, with incorrect measurement between studs, incorrect sizing for door frames and uneven window framing. Sheetrock was a whole other issue. He brought in "workers" he has never met or worked with before and did not supervise them with lack of communication to us ( the home owners). He allowed strangers in our house while we were not there and allowed them to "work" without checking on their work. The taping job was terrible, and had to completely redone. They put the ceiling around a pipe in our ceiling and Cody claimed "it was the best he could do". When addressed with Cody, he claimed it was a finished look and we were ok with pipes being exposed. We agreed if he was unable to cover a pipe that would be ok, but a pipe through the ceiling was not a finished look. His "workers " also cut our existing stairs without permission from us. Cody then hired a guy to finish the taping, who has been fabulous . However after he hired him, Cody became even more unprofessional and cut off almost all communication with us and just put all HIS remaining work on the other guy, which was fine with us because he fixed everything however because he did not provide him with any assistance, the remodel took 4 months to complete and when given deadlines, Cody was not respectful of those deadlines .. he told us the job would be done March 18th- but did not do anything to ensure that deadline was met and continue taking on new projects and neglecting ours. Our project was finally completed May 25th, and that was with us as homeowners, finishing projects ourselves because Cody was no longer willing to complete any work with us. When sending the final invoice, he sent it without any sort of communication in months, expecting to be paid that day. He did not check in with us for satisfaction of completion nor has he even looked at the final job. Cody also stated he was withholding the final electrical inspection that was needed for the certificate of occupancy until payment had been received, which felt threatening to us. When we did finally receive the electrical inspection, non of the information was accurate. I have attached some pictures of Cody's work... he stated in his mission that he has an eye for detail, however these pictures show that is an incorrect statement

If they didn't want the business at least have the courtesy to tell me so. This left a bad taste in my mouth and makes me wonder how reliable they are now.
