He said he would send me a written estimate and schedule the repair. After that, I never heard from him again. I followed up multiple times by text and email and received no response. If they weren't interested in the job, a simple message would have been appreciated. Instead, I was completely ghosted. Based on my experience, I can't recommend this company.

In July 2020, we had a few businesses come to give us estimates on correcting our basement water…read moreproblems. We already had been using a sump pump and there were French drains that weren't performing properly. We decided to use Rapid Response as a medium cost estimate. Rick himself came to give us the estimate but on the day of the work, it was just the young guys who would do the heavy work. We had asked to have the location of the sump pump hole moved because it had been located right next to the boiler. We thought that was a wise move. The work was done quickly, within two days. The new discharge location seemed to be a good choice. But we were disappointed that the discharge pipe was only placed literally inches below the ground. Which absolutely guaranteed freezing in the winter. Now there is a freeze discharge above the ground but that in itself created a new problem. Within three months of the installation, we had three sump pumps burn out! Christmas morning that year, which we had rain and 60 degrees, we had 6" of water in the basement and had to call the fire department to pump us out! When the alarm had gone off on Christmas Eve that the sump pump wasn't working, attempts to reach Rick went unheeded. He did finally arrive after the fire department came to help us and installed a different sump pump. As an extra precaution, a few days later he installed a second sump pump in the same hole as a back up. We are happy to say they have lasted so far. However, last spring as the ground was still frozen and the discharge pipe was still frozen, we had a great deal of rain. The sump pump was discharging twice a minute. However, with the freeze discharge being right beside a basement window, as much water was just going back into the basement as was being discharged! I called and emailed pictures to Rick for help....but still have never heard a response. This begs our concerns if either of the sump pumps fail that we will get a response from Rick. And this spring, we are realizing that the water being discharged from the sump pump is flooding our septic drainage fields. Contacting our septic company, they felt that a responsible basement business person would have asked us about where our septic fields were. And would have directed the sump discharge in a different direction. Long story... BEWARE dealing with Rapid Response!

I called him on a Saturday and left a voicemail not expecting a call back until Monday, but I was pleasantly surprised that he called me back just a few hours later and apologized that he didn't call back sooner. We were able to schedule an appointment for the next day, we texted some photos and the clear description of what the issue was, and he came with all the parts to fix the issue in a single visit. While he was not cheap, it would have saved money if we called him first instead of calling and paying the two other plumbers for their attempts. Then proceeded to ask for our WiFi and give us an astronomical price of $10,000 for all the windows. Best part the windows install wouldn't be till January/Feb, when we need them done sooner, especially just one. We then tell him we'll think about it and the guy sat in our driveway for a good 30 minutes after we had to get back to work blocking the garage area. So not only did this man ruin my floors and was extremely unprofessional, this company is a scam. You're better off going with a local contractor. We called someone else the next day and were quoted a total of $3700 for all windows and install next week. I have no idea why there's so many positive reviews for this company. He came out for the free estimate but then was super flaky about scheduling a time for our project. After a week or so he contacted us the night before to say he could come at 8am the next day. When we weren't able to make that happen we set up an appointment for 8am the following day. He texted the next day to say an emergency came up and we would have to reschedule. He then texted the morning of the cancelled appointment day to say he could come that afternoon. When that was not convenient for us he said it didn't seem like we were going to "gel" on this project and he would pass on it. Not sure why it was so difficult for him to schedule a firm time for our project. We were pretty flexible for weekdays and very flexible on time, just needed more than a few hours heads up.

He quoted my chimney repair as a 3-day job, but the project quickly became disorganized. Different workers showed up almost every day, they often arrived without the proper tools or materials, and work was repeatedly delayed. At one point, Bob even had to borrow a ladder from a neighbor, and he left concrete debris along the side of my yard. The most serious issue was that Bob caused significant damage to my home by stepping through the ceiling in my foster children's room. Instead of being upfront, he initially misrepresented where the damage was so I wouldn't notice. Since April 2026, he has repeatedly promised to repair the damage and "gave his word" multiple times, but he has failed to follow through. After weeks of missed appointments and excuses, he finally returned only to say he was overwhelmed and needed someone else to help fix the damage he caused. At this point, I simply want the ceiling repaired properly or a refund so I can hire someone else to fix the damage. Unfortunately, based on my experience, I cannot recommend Bob's services. Bob, there is no need to lie about anything. Also, using your mother's account still is unprofessional.
