After a few weeks, we noticed a spot on the family room carpet that had not come completely clean. They had cleaned our entire home and since they cleaned, all of our carpet has appeared 'matted'. That too is concerning, as we have high quality carpeting. I called and left a message. I received no return call. I called again, no return call. Again I called, again nothing. I did this for weeks. When I finally got a return call, it was after hours and Melissa left a message telling me I only had 30 days to call for service and that they would not be servicing our concerns. Well, I'd been trying to get someone on the phone for weeks. My husband has spent thousands with Chem-Dry over the years as they have cleaned for his commercial business'. He has not had issue with them before, but I'm thinking residential accounts may not be priority as they are not big ticket jobs? I'm not sure if they have made the connection between our home and the business'. It is apparent Customer Service and follow up are not aspects they want to bother with as evidenced with our experience. Chem-Dry had ample time to service this and make it right, unfortunately they chose not to. We will be moving on to another company for all of our cleaning needs. read more

I wish I could submit a lower than 1 STAR rating because this company certainly doesn't deserve 1 STAR. My husband and I have been professionally cleaning our furniture upholstery for several years now. We were excited when Chem Dry first arrived this morning. However, we soon discovered that the representatives, "Justin" and "Matt"who arrived to conduct our cleaning, were rude and condescending. We quickly dismissed the Chem Dry representatives without even receiving the service! We talked with the owner of Chem Dry about this disturbing situation. While he agreed that further training was needed we found he lacked real concern beyond losing the money. Needless to say they missed making the $ 255 fee they were going to charge us. read more

I emailed Joe at Chem-Dry with my carpet dimensions. He quoted a price that was not honored when the carpet cleaners arrived. I was told "the price is the price" when I showed them my emailed estimate. At this point I had already moved my furniture and was prepared to have my carpet cleaned. When we called to set up the appointment we asked if they moved furniture. We were assured that they would. Mind you we were not asking for them to move our piano or entertainment center. When they arrived at our house we were told they did not move furniture. They would not move anything. They did not move the dining room chairs or even the bed side tables. My 68 year old husband moved everything by himself! They were hired to clean some furniture also but with all the overspray on walls, windows and other pieces of furniture it was hardly worthwhile. I don't know how they do it, but it's darn near a miracle. I have an 18 year old cat who no longer uses her litter box. That's an odor that's impossible to eliminate. I was shocked the first time I used Chem-Dry, now I use them every year. In and out shockingly fast, GREAT, trust -worthy employees (I was comfortable enough with them to leave them to finish the job alone), and dry in minutes. The smell left behind isn't something to mask the urine, it's soft, and gentle. Plus, they didn't make me feel embarrassed over the cat urine, quite the opposite. And it is something that can be embarrassing!! I've sent them to a few of my friends and family and they've all been equally as happy as I am. All I can is W-O-W! After many (failed) attempts to clean my berber, I decided it was time to call in the professionals. Before calling Chem-Dry I was sure we would have to replace our berber, it had lots of stains that our carpet steamer just could not get up. I am thrilled with the results. Very disappointed in their lack of service, flexibility, problem-solving ability. It took me 3 days to move all the furniture (except the beds) out of all the rooms. Beds were on sliders and easy to move as I moved them myself multiple times to vacuum and clean. I had my mom there to let them in. She phoned to let me know Joe (the owner) refused (against company policy for multiple reasons) to move the beds and would not allow her to move them either which she offered as she had already moved one bed. He was out of the house before I could even finish my conversation with her. There was no problem solving offered on their end. No flexibility. These guys are a joke as carpet cleaners. If you have any problem areas or stains that require additional attention forget it. If you bring it to Joe the owner attention he gets hostile and vehemently denies that the stain will come out. I brought to their attention an area where orange pop had been spilled and it had been missed in the cleaning process. It was under the couch which they assured me they would move the furniture when they cleaned. All my furniture was on sliders to make it a breeze to move. I know they didn't move the furniture as they would have seen it and brought to my attention that they couldn't get it out. I Called Joe as this was the second time they missed stains and he had a fit and verbally attacked me. For the second time I had to get out my cleaning supplies and get the stains out. Well Joe you guys really need to get more training in how to clean carpet and also address clients when there is a problem. So as long as they don't have to move furniture or address stains they do an OK job. There are lots of carpet cleaning companies out there I would definitely choose another. read more
