Cannot recommend this company due to the unethical behavior of agent Amy Burrell. I'm currently in…read morea rental that's been listed for sale, which is no problem for me because I'm moving anyway. However, as the listing agent, Burrell seems to be under the impression that I'm at her beck and call, and she has been nothing but rude and pushy. My last straw with her was when she contacted me for a showing via email and I responded that I was out of town. She then responded that I was "impeding the sale of the home" by not being here to let her in for a showing and that it was a "is a breach of your rental contract!" which was not only a lie, but it's an ethics violation for Burrell or any other agent to review lease/rental documents or advise on landlord tenant agreements/arrangements unless they also have a license to practice law. Furthermore, even if I had flat out refused the showing, which I did not, Oregon law allows tenants to do so under reasonable circumstances, and being over 100 miles away would constitute reasonable circumstances. She could have easily called the property manager for access anyway, and it was pretty nervy of her to expect me to drop everything and run back to Florence for her convenience. Burrell was provided with my contact information without my knowledge or consent, and because she seems to be suffering under the delusion that she has carte blanche to push me around, she has since been told to contact the property manager to arrange further showings. Those who are considering selling a tenant-occupied property would be well-advised to find a better agent; trying to push tenants around accomplishes nothing and can make it more difficult to sell a place. Additionally, a competent agent would never have listed this property at approximately $135K over market value. After over two months on the market, there's only been one party interested in a showing, while similar homes that are appropriately priced are selling within a matter of days in this location. The listing itself is also fraudulent; Burrell claims there are "tons of updates!" but there are NONE. The place didn't even have a functioning range when I moved in over four years ago. I feel sorry for the property owner, who was probably hoping the place would be sold by now; the only reason it hasn't sold is because of Burrell's incompetence.

She helped us deal with our terrible mortgage broker and with the bank that owned the property (which is a job all in itself). After the sale, after she'd been paid and her job was done, she helped us get some remedy for the poor job done by the bank's contractor. And here we are three years in and John sent an updated appreciation report on our house so we could see where we sit. Most people buy more than one house in their life, don't you want a realty partner who's always going to be there not just someone who wants to get their commission and move on so they can get more commissions? You want someone who doesn't have to do radio ads to get clients, they get them because their clients tell their friends, "This is who you need"! Well, Heart & Home is who YOU need!

Nicola started helping us with our home buying journey in 2018…read more She was very knowledgeable about the steps we needed to take, and would meet us often to answer questions as well as show us houses. We had a list of specific needs as we were new parents, and wanted to get a home we knew we could be in for a long time. On top of being new parents we also needed a home that could accommodate our elderly father. We needed at least three bedrooms, two baths, and a big yard for our rambunctious dog. We wanted wood floors, a garage, and a garden, all things we never had in our rental. Nicola showed us a lot of potential homes, and we finally found one that fit our needs. With some work it would be perfect. Once we finished closing on the home Nicola connected us with someone who restored wood floors, as the prior owners had carpeted over them. He sanded, stained and fixed the floors to their former glory at a very reasonable price for the work needed. They look beautiful and are everything we hoped for. Throughout the first months in our new home Nicola checked in regularly and even connected us with neighbors in the area she knew. She even brought us a wreathe for our front door during the holidays. During the fall and following spring we had been troubleshooting our sprinkler system with no luck getting it running. We really wanted to take advantage of the well that was on the property to water the gardens as it would save us a lot of money. With no luck getting ahold of the former owners of the home (who said during closing they would show us how the system worked) we were let down that we may have to just dream about sprinklers. Nicola was very generous and paid to have the system looked at, and repaired to working condition. That meant so much to us and we can not express enough How appreciative we are for that. Nicola has been so kind, helpful and knowledgeable through this whole process. She has treated us with respect, and has been continually generous with help. We love our new home and look forward to being here for a long time. We would recommend Nicola to anyone looking to buy or sell, or even gain knowledge on homes in the area. Thank you Nicola for everything! You have been great.

It was a stressful time for us anyway and selling our home, well, let's pile on the stress, right? In all our years we have never come across a Realtor like Jenniffer Clark! She was always right there, supporting us and keeping us happy. She was attentive, responsive, patient, knowledgeable, skilled, fearless and most important: a listener! So many Realtors & their agents have "the agenda" in their heads and you have to try and fit into their space. Jenniffer was open and flexible, yet kept the process moving in a positive direction even when things got tough. In short, she made our agenda, her priority. The amazing thing was our house went under contract in about a week after it was first posted for sale and at an price we did not think was even obtainable. It was incredible!
