I have never in my life experienced such inept communication and poor customer service. Save yourself the heartache and never utilize your lending through this company, or participate in any type of real estate transaction where OMT is involved. I haven't lived in Eugene since 1998 - I do all of my banking online, through an associated credit union branch, or through an ATM (especially a member CU for no fee). I have used my debit card online, all over the country, and even internationally. I've never had a charge denied. Their interest-bearing checking account is a better deal than any of the big banks. A satisfied customer and UO alumni.

I am a landlord, and I visit the Coburg branch frequently( the rent checks never come at the same time), and what they have done for me is terrific. What happened is I got the dreaded IRS audit letter. I didn't save all my statements over the course of 7 years and I HAD to have every one for this audit. When I made my plight known, and gave them a list of almost 40-50 statements needed RIGHT NOW, they worked overtime to generate them in Portland(thank you Stephanie) and had them in my hands within 48 hours. To say the least they saved my bacon big time. Their good service saved me thousands. So I want to say thank you to Sherry, Ann, Lindsey and Stephanie, all of whom work at the Coburg branch and are very pleasant to deal with. I also have a loan with these folks, and I feel that Sherry's depth of knowledge in this area is impressive. For me I am very happy.

I was told I'd receive a letter detailing the reasons why the loan was denied, but that never happened ether. Next, after deciding to pay cash for a car, I checked online and found that OCCU could grant a one-time waiver of the daily debit card limit, which was the dealer's preferred payment method. Unfortunately, the human I spoke to said "we don't do that." The last straw was when I went into the East 11th branch to get a cashier's check, plus all of the additional documentation the car dealer needed for a paper check. I started giving the teller my account number, and he started repeating it back in a voice loud enough for the whole building to hear. When I asked him not to, he didn't seem to understand why. Four separate points of failure regarding a single purchase in just a few days. Unacceptable. After 15+ years as an OCCU member, I will be closing my accounts.
