Just a wonderful overall experience! I've been to Green Leaf only twice and had treatments from two different therapists and the sessions were amazing even though they were both slightly different. I think having the variety of therapeutic techniques to treat the same concern is a great advantage Green Leaf has over some of the other competitors. The venue is fantastic along the Edmonds waterfront with plenty of free parking and there's even the bus transit center across the street if I didn't want to bring my car. The venue is a very comfortable setting starting with a thorough introduction regarding the reason for the visit. The room was quiet with soft background music and the bedding had adjustable heating. I felt VERY relaxed throughout the entire process and loved the direct focus for my main trouble spot. Went for my first massage with Patti. She is so accomplished and caring, with a wealth of knowledge. She identified several treatment options and was a delight to talk to and very informative. Patti is the kind of person that has never encountered a stranger, just a friend she hasn't met yet. She was very accommodating when trying to work around my crazy schedule. The office is so easy to get to, the parking is great, and the treatment rooms are exactly what you would hope them to be, with calming music, soothing water features, and a beautiful view of the Edmonds waterfront. Melanie Salazar is by far the best person I've ever seen for massage/reflexology/reiki and have been a consistent client of hers for over 5 years. She has such a calming, kind energy and presence and offers each person with compassion and care. Melanie is an absolute pro at finding the tension spots and knots and melting them away. I always feel incredible after a session and look forward to the next time. She's also helped me through a lot of my chronic illness and symptoms through her intentional work and been a huge support through my wellness and health journeys. Also - the view of the water in the room is spectacular and adds so much to the calming and healing atmosphere. The bathrooms are really spacious, accessible, and nice. I recently gotten several Tui Na massages with Molor. These massages helped with the eczema problem I'd been having for the last four month. I was also receiving acupuncture, which is complemented by Tui Na. I recommend Molor for this type of massage. Tui Na is like having rolfing done on meridian points. It can be quite painful at times, but that pain seems necessary to open up some of the stuck points. This type of massage is not for everyone, but if I need it again, I will certainly go to Molor. I have been getting massages at different places for several years, and generally need more pain relief in specific areas, and not so much a relaxation massage. I'm used to first-time massages being somewhat awkward and less-than-satisfying, as the new person gets to know me and my body, but Jessica made the whole experience comfortable and found and released the stuck spots immediately. The place is clean and doesn't have a ton of heavy fragrance (good for me because I'm sensitive to a lot of fragrances, even some essential oils). Not only did Christine offer a two hour massage (finally had enough time to work on all my trouble spots in one visit) but she was very communicative as far as pressure, if I was warm enough, if I preferred different music etc. Her intake was not too long, and not too short. Just the right amount of information to be able to provide an exemplary massage. I have had six different massage therapists over the past 8 years and I always change it up due to the therapist not listening to my requests regarding pressure or to please not work on a specific location. Christine is a therapist I will most certainly be returning to! She not only gave me a cup of tea to begin my relaxation while we did the intake, but my anxiety level came back down to a much more manageable level following the massage. And for the first time in a very long time, I did not require placing ice on my neck and/or shoulders after my massage. I am 43 years old, and took up Taekwondo a year ago. When I go to my Taekwondo classes, I don't play around. I pour every ounce of everything I have into those classes. The result is that I achieve my goals and I improve, but the result is also that my ankles hurt, my shins hurt, my shoulders hurt, my legs hurt, my hips KILL me, my back hurts, and by the end of the month I'm icing body parts, helping the Icy Hot people see big increases in their stock prices, and popping ibuprofen like it's candy. Then I go see Christine for 90 minutes and get a massage. Christine is extremely attuned to the needs of her client. She pays attention to my body language and my facial expressions to determine how her massage is impacting me. She reminds me to give her feedback so that she can tailor the massage to exactly what I need. She understands the demands that martial arts places on the body, so she is really able to figure out why I'm sore where I am, and she's able to figure out how to get that body part feeling happy again. Best of all, for me her massages go beyond just a massage. Sometimes she incorporates particular stretches into my massage to help me loosen particular muscles. I can take these stretches home and work on them on my own when I feel body parts starting to kink up before it's time for my next massage. She has even done light traction work with me, to help me loosen my lower back! Christine is a very kind person. She's extremely professional, and knows what the heck she is doing! I would not be able to do my martial art without Christine. She is a crucial element to my success, and I can't recommend her enough! read more
