I would not recommend this place if you are looking for actual therapeutic massage or help with a specific problem.

I ended up trying Maureen out because she takes my health insurance, and OMG I cannot believe my phenomenal luck in crossing paths with her. She is hands down the best massage therapist I've ever encountered. She's absolutely amazing because she can really feel your body and knows precisely where every part of your body is: every muscle, ligament, attachment, trigger points, everything. I'm not just speaking of knowledge of the anatomy, which she obviously has, but that her hands are sensitive enough to actually feel where every piece is, identify the issues, and work at just the right amount of pressure to begin correcting problems. I've been to many massage therapists who ended up hurting me because they couldn't actually feel my body and just applied cookie cutter techniques. Sometimes they even massaged my bones--why, I have no idea. I'm just lucky that they didn't inflict permanent damage with what they did. With Maureen, there's none of that sort of frustration to deal with. From the very beginning, she does a very comprehensive evaluation instead of just diving into a massage like every other place I've been to. Every following massage I've had with her has proven that she is truly talented at her work. To top it all off, she's got a super down-to-earth personality and is genuinely caring.
