I had hoped to eventually update this review to 5 stars, but unfortunately my experience has…read moremirrored what several other reviewers have reported. After initially expressing interest in the project and agreeing to come out for measurements, the contractor completely stopped communicating. Multiple texts and messages have gone unanswered with no explanation, no follow-up, and not even the courtesy of a response. What makes this even more frustrating is that the contractor remains active on social media, so it's clear the issue isn't a lack of availability to communicate. Professionalism and communication are basic expectations when hiring a contractor. If you are too busy to take on a project, simply say so. Ghosting potential customers after making commitments is unprofessional and disrespectful of their time. At this point, I've lost confidence and will be taking my business elsewhere. Unless there is a reasonable explanation and an effort to make this right, I cannot recommend this contractor based on my experience.

He took the old one down and realized the new one had a different style of mounting bracket. He had the whole job down in under 45 minutes and the end project was clean and professional looking. Will do more work with them again in the future. I also like that the price never changed. They quoted me $149.99 when I first booked and that's exactly what I paid. They didn't try to sell me on a harder job for more money.

I appreciate the role which FixT serves, but with Yelp as the solicitation platform, it admittedly seems like another unnecessary middleman to go through them. The contractors did miss some minor things with our playground assembly, and unfortunately the price came in higher (without notification), despite my providing the exact model and steps required for assembly at the time of soliciting. The insurability and lack of comprehensive quality guarantees is a little off putting in the end, as even other entities that exclusively use "independent contractors" such as uber, still have additional protections in place for the end customer. Overall, they were good, not perfect. The process was wonky, but worked (for the most part) in the end. I just would prefer to go directly to the contractors in the future.

Dan, from…read moreUltimate Appliance Repair came out on the same day we called, spent time diagnosing the problem and fixed it. It turned out to be a $10 part that had kicked the bucket and was causing all sorts of water and ice issues. He replaced the part, even cleaned up the area behind the fridge, and then tackled a problem of a stove that's been out of level for years. Wonderful person to deal with, fair price. Our second great contractor in a week (Cook Electric being the other). In an age where a lot of people would just throw up their hands, say it can't be fixed, and charge an arm and a leg, Dan was a great find. I can't say enough good things about him or his company. Don't even consider hiring anyone else. Five stars only because that's as high as one can go.

My condo came with a high-end home sound system that was top-of-the-line... about 20 years ago , which created some challenges in figuring out how to make older equipment work with modern TVs and technology. Rather than simply telling me to replace everything, he took the time to understand the existing system and came up with creative solutions. What I especially appreciated was that he gave me a two-tier approach: an affordable, practical solution that got everything working beautifully now, while also explaining what I could do in the future if I want to fully restore and maximize the potential of the original home theater system. There was absolutely no pressure to spend more than I wanted to. He got everything installed, mounted, connected, and working on a very tight timeline. Knowledgeable, honest, creative, and genuinely focused on finding the right solution for the customer. Highly recommend!

He was very nice and worked very quickly and efficiently but he needed my help to lift our 77" TV. I do not blame him at all for asking for my help, but I am terribly disappointed he was sent by himself. I politely expressed my disappointment in the price I paid with his company expecting me to help him. He was very apologetic and threw in a cable concealing package which was incredibly thoughtful. I'm writing this review because I was not supposed to be home when the mounting was scheduled. My disabled spouse was going to be the only person here. Had I not been sent home from work early the technician wouldn't have been able to do the service at all! I'm not sure if it was a choice to send one technician from the start or someone didn't show up for work, either way, this should have been rescheduled so the service could be completed as it was paid for. In summary, the mount was adequately done and the technicIan was incredibly professional- his company was not. This review would have been 1 star if it were not for his character.
