We have used this company for over 5 years, and the quality of service and attention to detail began to degrade. Even with the falling satisfaction index, we stuck with the company, due to our "loyalty". Unfortunately, that was not reciprocated as we continued to experience poor service and questionable communication tactics (i.e. ambiguous, misleading, etc). NEVER order mulch from this company. I ordered mulch a three weeks ago from them and confirmed a delivery for this past Friday. I changed my work schedule in order to wait for the delivery. They showed up 2 hours late, only brought half of the mulch I ordered and were VERY unprofessional. I asked them if they would bring the other half of the mulch and they gave me the snide remark of "How would I know? Take it up with our office?" The worst part was, being a nice day on Friday I left my windows open to let in the fresh air, I have a child and these men were cursing like sailors! I recommend never using Mulch Solutions for any services. I was told that my mulch was going to be delivered at Noon on Saturday. I took off to wait around for the mulch to be delivered. The mulch never showed up on Saturday and I called the office 4 times and left messages asking about what was going on. I never received a call back from anyone in the office. Then when I called on Monday morning, I received the response, "Well the mulch should have been delivered?". When I told them it never came and that no one ever responded back to my calls asking about the mulch, they blamed it on the computer they were using and that it happened often...WHICH IS NOT THE CUSTOMER'S ISSUE!! When I asked to speak to the supervisor to discuss what happened and the fact that something I ordered and was promised to be there, he was very unapologetic and didn't seem to care that it happened. I was offered no discount, no apology for an office member not calling back and was very unhappy with the customer service. Mulch Solutions did an excellent, timely job of removing old "shredded leaf" mulch and dropping in hardwood (dyed black) mulch on my property consisting of a back, front, and side yard for an attached townhouse. Work was completed on time and the mulch was at the agreed upon depth. All areas were covered per the contract. Good quality mulch was used in all areas. I have had significantly less weeds emerge following this mulch being put down. I can't comment on professionalism or time to do the work as it was done when I was not home (planned it that way). There were a few random strips of mulch in the yard following the installation so a little more attention to detail next time would be valuable. But for the price I paid, me picking up a few pieces of mulch is acceptable. I would use Mulch Solutions again next year to pull out the old and put in the new. read more

If I could give this business a zero rating I would. This is perhaps the most unorganized and unprofessional business I have ever dealt with. I am not sure that those working in the office communicate with those actually performing the services. We wanted to be set up on a once a weekly lawn mowing service and they just completely dropped the ball in never showing up..more than once. When I would call they would say they would look into in and call me back...never did. I literally had to call about a dozen times in 2 weeks...all while my yard was starting to look like a jungle b/c they were not here to mow. I even contacted the owner via email TWICE and he never responded. I would warn anyone to NOT use their services, incredible waste of my time. I have used them for 2 years now. In the spring, they clean my gardens and apply mulch. In the fall, they remove the leaves. I have found them to be very good. They clean up everything, even areas I did not really expect. They come when I expect. I have not been there when they do the work, but my spouse has been and has had no complaints. This company has TERRIBLE service. I placed an order on Friday and they said they would call me back to tell me when they would deliver, but that it would be early next week. On Monday morning they called to confirm my delivery for that day, but then said they would need to get back to me. The delivery never came and they never called me back. On Tuesday morning, I called them and they said my order would be delivered that day. I called at 6pm and they said they would deliver it on Wednesday. At that point, I started to lose confidence in their ability to perform. I threatened to cancel my order and they said let's cancel because we never should have accepted your order to begin with!! Pretty bad job. Removed all my plants and said will replace then they blammed me saying I didnot tell them specifically not to cut. Put mulch in wrong place and a total loss of more tahn 500$ and they charged me extra. Never trust. They say one and do one thing and charge more later. read more
