BEWARE OF BULLIES AND SCAM ARTISTS…read more In my 12 years of luxury property management this is by far the worst company and group of people I have ever worked with. I signed a contract for EXECUTIVE ASSET GROUP to clean my house and guest house, which is a total of 6 bedrooms 4 baths and 3000 sqft. I agreed to pay $1,978.11 for them to do a deep clean and the windows. They provided me with a detailed checklist and promised in their contract 100% satisfaction Guaranteed or they would come back to the home. We did a full walk through and spoke about everything that needed to be done, and even discussed using them on a regular basis since I live off island and wanted to find a group of cleaners I could really trust. Dan Hanna Director / Client relations called me and said they were done cleaning and asked me to pay the balance in full. Since I am not on the island I told him I would have my property manager go to the home to make sure all the work was done. She called me on FaceTime from the home and I instantly noticed none of the beds were washed and made, none of the laundry had been done and was overflowing out of the washing machine. There were piles of sheets by the front door, the linen closet was completely disheveled, and the windows which I agreed to pay $738.54 to be cleaned had a sticky film left on them as they were brand new had residue from the sticker, the main reason why I wanted the windows cleaned. I immediately contacted Dan Hanna and sent him photos telling him I was not satisfied. He told me washing the beds and changing the bedding was extra, but it clearly states in the checklist that those items will be done. He never offered to come back and honor the 100% satisfaction, and told me to contact his lawyer. I was shocked because never in my life have I had someone so quick to go to lawyers vs try to negotiate and come to a deal. So their lawyer J Russel Rain contacted me with a demand letter stating I make the full payment or he will be taking me to small claims court. After more thorough look at their company folder J Russel Rain, Attorney at Law of Rain Law firm LLC, had a business card paper clipped directly under the card of Daniela Hanna Owner/ Broker of Executive Asset Group and also Hawaiian Management Company, as well as Owner / Principle Broker for Tilikum Reality. All of these business cards were included in my folder from Executive Asset Group. I wish I would have seen the business card for the lawyer in the packet for a cleaning/ property management/ Realty company before I signed their contract, because that would have been a major red flag for me. I spent many hours over the course of a week trying to come to a reasonable agreement with their lawyer J Rain. At one point he offered me $150.00 discount, but later retracted that. $150 no where near covered all the work they promised to do but did not, I had to hire someone else to do all the laundry, make all the beds, wash all the towels. clean all the windows before my new tenants were moving in. I also asked many times for the checklist they did for my property, and the before and after photos. They refused to give them to me. Why withhold that information from a client who is out of state? So J Rain and Executive Asset Group, demanded full payment or they would take me to small claims court for $1978.11 plus additional fees. I am 100% sure I would absolutely have won this case. I am confident that any judge looking at this situation will not find it to be a reasonable position because the person providing the services knows that we would be off-island and refused to send before and after pictures to document that the work was done unless payment was made first. Also, the claim that laundry and making beds is not in the contract when it is specifically stated on the check list that was given when describing his services is also not reasonable. This is not a he-said, she-said situation. I have copies of the contract and checklist and pictures of the work not performed. I was bullied into making the payment due to this fact. In Maui you can file a claim for small claims court for $35.00 and if I do not show up they win no matter what. EXECUTIVE ASSET GROUP knows very well that I am not on the island and we spoke of my 3 children under 6 years old, and the fact that I have a full time job. I told them this when I interviewed them for property managers. So for me to show up in court I would have to pay for round trip flights, pay for somewhere to stay since my house is rented, take time off work, and hire someone to care for my 3 children, this would be much more than what I would get back in court. My other option would be to hire a lawyer, and that would have been more than 2K as well. So I decided to pay the bill and expose their fraud to try and save anyone else from the hassle of dealing with this horrible group of people. I STILL HAVE NOT RECEIVED CHECKLIST OR PICTURES!!!!

When we signed up I mentioned that I was picky, reply was, not a problem. Halt. In the year that we were clients, we were never told that we had to provide twice as many linens and towels that we provide our guests. That would be 16 sets of towels, and 4 sets of Cal King Sheets, 4 sets of King sheets and 8 sets of twin sheets. You've got to be kidding right! After 16 years of managing it ourselves, we were not going to give up control of our 2nd home. "But we can keep it full all year", that's not what we wanted. This was hinted upon several times them taking over managing our unit. We had gotten a last minute rental and I forgot to let them know, yes my mistake but the day before the arrival I texted her saying that it needed to be cleaned for their arrival. Yes my mistake but, oh, I'm human. Told us it was no problem. The kicker and need I say more, after they cleaned and on their way home, we got an email saying they would no longer clean our unit. Left us high and dry with 5 more rentals coming in before our return. It took forever to get my linens and towels returned to me. Be wary of this business, I'm in agreement with KD V

Each time, they've taken great care of the screens and cleaned the glass well. We paid $380 for a mix of 46 windows, sliding doors and French doors a few years ago. One of our bedroom's ceiling fan spat out what looked like dust, but after trying to "brush" the dust away from the sheets and carpet with our hands, it turned out to be a greasy, linty substance. Our straw-colored carpet was ruined, or so we thought. They managed to remove the grime, with the carpet coming out looking almost brand new. Extra care was taken for our furnishing's wooden "feet" as they applied thick pieces of plastic under them for protection from the damp carpet. The workers were all professional and respectful. TIP: They will not clean your home's windows if there are bee's nests on the eaves. Understandable, so I got rid of them prior to the cleaning. OVERALL: Fair pricing, quality work.

Our contractor was a blessing and worked over the next 48 hours to remove the standing water and much of the mud. I knew I still needed a remediator to finish the cleaning and prevent mold, so I called MD Restoration. Kale was at Home Depot getting supplies when I called the evening of the flood (Friday). He gave me some general information and asked if he could call me back when he was out of the store. He called back within 10 minutes. Kale gave me lots of information and said that he was going to handle cases in the order he received calls, so if I could find someone else who would get there sooner, go with them. He did not say it in a manner that suggested he did not want to help or did not want my business; he was being practical in a situation where time is of the essence and I appreciated that. Kale texted the next day (Saturday), reiterating that he was handling cases in the order of calls received. I asked him to please keep me on his list, which he acknowledged he would. Kale called the next day (Sunday) from my property and I gave him my door code. He entered the unit, then sent me photos of its current state, an explanation of the work that was needed, and when he could start. I passed the information on to my contractor, who agreed with the assessment and said that he and his team could do the needed demolition on Monday, so that when Kale's team got there they would just have to do the cleaning and drying. Kale's team started the cleaning and drying process on Tuesday. My contractor had done more cleaning by then, but there was still plenty to do. Kale's team cleaned up the remaining mud and set up equipment to dry the walls. Throughout the process, Kale was prompt in his communication and did what he said he would do. When I arrived a week after the flood and saw the unit, my only critique was that the grout in the tile floors had not been scrubbed and there was mud staining around the floor edges and corners. Basically, the floor needed detailing. In fairness, this may be a level of cleaning that is beyond what remediators do. They also don't clean the mud out of the interiors of appliances. I was fine with what MD does and does not do, but if you have a whole-house flood that also involves mud you may want to ask questions so that your expectations are managed. I met Kale in person to thank him for his help. He offered advice for the repairs from the perspective of someone who regularly deals with water intrusion. Kale knew that my contractor would make all repairs, so his advice was completely from a place of wanting to be helpful. Kale also acknowledged that our bedroom fan was not broken when he first entered our unit, but it was now broken. (We had also noticed the broken fan, but did not mention it.) Kale said that his team is usually good about letting him know when things like that happen, but, when he asked them, they said they did not do it. I could see where he was coming from: something was broken, but was it my contractor's guys or Kale's guys? We weren't there, so we don't know. Although that was fair, he maybe could have knocked a small amount off the price as a courtesy, just in case his guys unknowingly were the culptrits, but honestly, in the grand scheme of what we were dealing with, the fan was not my priority and I appreciated that Kale noticed the breakage and checked with his guys. I found Kale to be highly responsive and helpful. The invoice I was provided includes pictures and a detailed breakdown of the work that was done each day, which I suspect will be useful when I seek reimbursement from my insurer. As Kale said, I hope I never have to call him again, but if disaster strikes I would not hesitate to do so.
