Tommy from Atlantic Real Estate Services installed a radon mitigation system in my home. I was very…read morepleased with both the system and their professionalism. I would strongly recommend this company. I contacted several NRPP certified radon service providers, and Tommy's initial response stood out. He followed-up with both a phone call and an email, asking detailed questions about my home. He also said that he had installed a radon system in a house on my street, which told me he stood by his work. Tommy visited the house to provide a free estimate, and he found that we happened to have a "passive" radon mitigation system which the previous owners had apparently installed. Tommy took a day to think about the project, and he offered two estimates: one to convert the passive system to an "active" system, and another to install a new system altogether. I appreciated that Tommy carefully evaluated my house, to the point that he found the passive system and offered that cheaper conversion option in addition to the altogether new system. We ended up going with the new system to avoid any unexpected complications, and because we knew the new system was fairly priced. I needed the work to be done quickly and during a specific time period, which Tommy accommodated. Tommy and his crew (his father-in-law and brother-in-law) left the house the way they found it, and the radon ventilation gutter on the outside of the house is as aesthetically pleasing as possible. As far as post-testing, they left a monitor in the house for a couple of days, and then they sent me results which showed a significant reduction. In addition, I also own my own radon monitor (an Airthings), which had shown an eight-week average above 4.0 before the system was installed. Within days of the radon mitigation service being turned on, the average had gone down to just above 1.0. These guys were a pleasure to work with and talk to, they offered a fair price which I ran by other contractors, and they did good work which I independently verified with my own monitoring device. I fully endorse Atlantic Real Estate Services.

I had a very, very loud radon fan on my home's radon mitigation system, and Robert came out and he looked into the issue and quoted me a very, very reasonable price. More importantly, Robert realized that my system had some other complications that I knew nothing about. He spent the day digging into a previous installation, finding out a bunch of details I knew nothing about, and then giving me advice on how to proceed. Having just recently purchased my home, Robert's advice was super important for ensuring my and my family's safety, and addressing some issues that the previous sellers of the home left unaddressed. Robert is a real pro who knows his stuff and will educate you on something that most homeowners are totally uneducated about. He knows how to keep you safe and how to save you money.

All my ceiling lights were pushed out and they came a couple of days later and pushed them back. Initially we thought it would right itself but it continued to do this and I tried contacting them, twice, without any response. I will try one more time and then if I do not hear from them, I will bring down the stars to one or zero if I can do it.

Phil was recommended to us by a Facebook group member who had a great experience with their home…read moreinspection. Phil did not disappoint. As an expert Master Home inspector specializing in new Home construction, he was meticulous, thorough, detail-oriented and professional. He kept us well informed about his findings and provided solutions for the builder and for us to implement. The report he sent us with pictures and video is invaluable, and great for documentation and home history records. I highly recommend him!

You're not going to find a better more dedicated home inspector than Phil at Fredrick Home…read moreInspection services. I had Phil selected base on his reviews and personal chat when I was checking for inspectors. His rate is higher than others bit a little margin but I think his attention to detail is a level above. Pros: - Very available to chat on phone or text before or after inspection - Very modern / up to date - for example he used a drone to check the roof of our 4 story town home under construction. I don't think we'd ever have found the exposed nail issues w/o that. - He is very thorough - for a pre-drywall inspection he actually stopped by the next day to check a few extra things as it had gotten dark the prior afternoon. He absolutely could have not bothered but he did find a few extra items to point out. - Phil will guide you guidance what is a 'must fix'; or things that you can probably just be aware of but not fight on. - Very good write-up with lots of photos, even a video in one spot to show a loose item. The write-up is available online in a system that you, and the seller or builder can view. It can also be downloaded to a pdf. A key feature is that you can identify just the items you want your seller or builder to fix and generate a PDF of just the 'fix request'. Phil did the final inspection as well and found a very small window crack we missed. Had he not found it, would have 100% been our responsibility after closing. Cons: - Nothing really.

Having a high quality home inspection has definitely made home buying much less stressful because we know exactly what to expect from our new home. The rates were reasonable, and I would absolutely use InSpec again.

I was glad they did a site survey because for my home I needed 2 separate holes drilled in the floor and not just 1 as the others had quoted. Mike came out and did the site survey and explained what needed to be done. He gave me 2 options for the routing of the piping and even showed me pictures of past jobs to illustrate how it would look. I decided to have G.M.D. Construction install my radon system and John and Tyler arrived early for the scheduled installation time. They wore protective coverings on their feet to protect our carpet and left the job site spotless inside and out. Once the install was complete they took their time and explained everything I needed to know. They left excellent labeling identifying who did the install and when as well as a guide of what to do if I ever experience any problems with the system. They took their time and weren't rushing out the door which can be rare these days for home services. The piping they used match my siding and initially I was concerned with how this would look running up the back of my house but the system really looked good and looked like it belonged on the house. There are some companies out there that will throw a quote at you without even visiting your home to see whats best for your living space. I would advise people to stay away from those companies.
