These guys were no-call, no-show! I can not recommend them to anyone who needs HVAC. These guys are extremely unreliable just like Gen 3 electric and Filippone Electric. And now, in the middle of a heat wave, our air conditioner died, and they are bending over backwards to make sure we get a new one ASAP, even if it means them installing the thing in the middle of the summer. Our rep, Scott Fischer, even said he'd loan us a portable air conditioner so we don't melt before they can get the new air conditioner installed. Everyone we've ever dealt with from Dowd have been helpful, knowledgable and kind.

$150 waste of money for diagnostic. When we called this morning to make an appointment we…read morespecifically asked if they work on the oil heaters in levittown knowing that its a niche thing. The woman on the phone assured us that they do. The first thing the hvac gentlemen said is "we don't really work on these oil heaters". When i said to him that we specifically asked the woman about it he told us "she's just dispatch". We were told that the soot needed to be cleaned(over $2700), they may need to remove the wall to do it which would cost more, and they don't replace the wall if they take it down. Then after all of that, they would be able to diagnose what is actually wrong with the heater, if its something more than a cleaning. If you live in Levittown, don't walk...run! You might as well throw your $150 in a hole and call someone else. Benjamin Franklin came out and hour later and fixed it for $417.

They were on time, checked out the AC, added coolant and then took a quick peek at the furnace. They said both look good for the age (17 years) and should be good for a while. I had questions about rebates for heat pumps and he had answers about rebates, rough costs and advantages of the new heat pumps. He reiterated that we didn't need to change out our current equipment but if we feel it's important for environmental reasons there are good options. We'll definitely be using them going forward, and have a fall furnace checkup scheduled.

On the first cold day this winter he claims the heater is all rusted out in the exchanger and has to be replaced, along with the entire system because a new heater can't work with an old air conditioner. Our neighbor suggested we call their guy. He's been in business for 30 years. Needless to say, the heater was not rusted he showed me the unit was very dirty, the fan motor and wheel were clogged with dirt and there were two dead birds in the chimney. The outside air conditioner was only 10 years old. I'm convinced SK had never done anything other than collect their fee and try to sell stuff we didn't want or need.

Converted my garage into a bedroom and hired EMCO Tech to install a Carrier Infinity minisplit…read more They did an excellent job. They came three separate times. First visit they ran all the wiring, lines and drain before drywall -- and didn't even take a deposit. Second time they installed both units and protected the indoor unit with plastic and cardboard so the painters wouldn't damage it. They took half the payment then. Final visit, after painting was done, they finished everything, started the system up, and I paid the rest. The same two guys -- Leo and Alex -- did all three visits. They were super professional and respectful. They always parked on the street instead of my driveway, wore shoe covers, and were very careful with my dog. I even bought them lunch twice because they were that nice. Everything turned out great. The room looks beautiful and the system works perfectly. Highly recommend EMCO Tech.

I was skeptical. Also, I was wary of the one-star reviews below. When I spoke to the company's owner, Serge, he offered an honest assessment of the negative reviews, admitting growing pains and lessons learned. I trusted him. He also offered all the relevant details about the boiler installation, including the specific make and model of the boiler. After researching the specific boiler, I felt confident choosing EMCO for the installation. The team installed the boiler within a week over two days. They returned several times to make sure the installation was a success. As most experts will tell you: A new boiler will inevitably have an issue or two. Our boiler had no real issues, and we've been happy since installation. Everything works great. I'm writing the review now because I've just called EMCO Tech for yearly cleaning/servicing (which was, again, half the price of other companies). I always tell myself: I should write a review for that company (when they're good). So now I'm writing a review! Thanks, EMCO Tech.

Qualitech provides excellent service!…read more These guys are honest and trustworth! My parents are in their late 80s. Their AC went out on a very hot and humid August night. They called an hvac company out of the phone book who didn't send a technician, but a slick salesman instead. This guy convinced them to sign a contract for a $17,000.00 new AC system. After they signed the contract he told them they'd have to wait three days for the system to arrive and be installed. They called me very upset and concerned. I cancelled the contract with the phone book guys and called Mike from Qualitech. Qualitec diagnosed the problem, went to a local supply house for a new fan motor and installed installed it all in the same day. LIFE SAVERS!
