Entire tire came off car while I was driving

Well this is an interesting story, definitely worth reading. Basically after my Ford Expedition was serviced my entire wheel fell off the vehicle while I was driving it, a potentially catastrophic event. After having it serviced in which rear brake pads were replaced, I immediately noticed there was a new vibrating/shaking most especially at high speeds to the point I could't drive past 70 mph. I immediately dropped it back off at the dealership and the next day they told me it was fine and that they "even tightened the lug nuts" which is obviously a complete lie. The same day I picked it up the whole darn wheel rolled off. Thankfully it was in front of a church so I was going slow and a police officer was right there to assist me otherwise if I was on the highway my daughter and I could have died. The body damage occurred when my tire rolled off the car, hit 3 other cars and bounced up and came back down hitting the side of my vehicle. SO as an aside, if you were at St Pius evening church service Dec 2 and have unexplained body damage to your car it was probably from my tire and you should send GREEN FORD the bill since ultimately it is their fault. I was told by the tow truck driver this was a "rookie move" and should never happen and was told at the dealership that repaired the wheel that this was basically human error/complete incompetence. Ford did pay for the initial repairs. There was still body damage that had not been addressed and I physically took the car to the dealership, had a long conversation with the customer relations manager, showed him the damage and was told they would fix the body damage however has failed to follow up on that despite several phone calls. We have been ghosted and obviously I would never step foot at that place again.... 1

Recently bought a 2019 F150 used from green ford. Cici the salesperson helping us was fantastic she is the main reason I did not go to another dealership she was fun and easy to work with and made the process easy. The trouble started after I got home with the apple car play. I was told on my test drive through a miscommunication that the CarPlay was wireless (it is not) after doing an hour of research I found that the sync 3 is not wireless compatible. Obviously I was frustrated. I called Cici and she picked up right away we agreed there was a miscommunication as she thought I was asking about the ford pass app. Fair enough. However I spent a good amount of money for this truck and I was lookin for certain amenities. She said she would speak to a manager and see what they could do for me. Fast forward 2 days later I receive a call from Harold the sales manager. Harold was nothing but short and rude with me. Telling me there was nothing he could do and I picked out the truck so I should know what comes with it. (Like I'm a ford technician) I can deal with the fact that this miss communication occurred I can even deal with the fact that they can't do anything. I told him how fantastic Cici was and how she was the reason for the sale, and he responded with "well if she said that she's going to be repremanded" I told him I did not want this to hurt her she was great. Harold carried on with his attitude and did not help me. If you're looking to buy a car I highly recommend Cici. Pray to god Harold stays out of it. Beautiful truck, great salesman, horrible management

As soon as you take the car in for service you will cringe due to how terrible the service dept can be.

I appreciate their updated location which has a nice waiting area with complimentary wifi, water, and coffee. They even have a shuttle service that can drop you off at home, work or just take you to grab food if you would like. The $40 oil change you simply cannot beat and they aren't too pushy when offering services that's are needed, as many who work off of commission are. The service team will address your concerns, and offer solutions accordingly. Even if there is a mixup or additional issue after leaving the shop, they do their due diligence in making corrections and that for me makes all the difference. I have struggled with writing a review for GSO Honda for a long time. As much as I love my Honda,…read moreI greatly dislike dealerships, and their games. I have bought multiple cars from this dealer over the years, back to when they were Crown Honda...and they always drag the process out, making it a completely unnecessary full day event. And as you'd expect, no matter if you're buying a new or used car, they live up to their used car salesman reputation of being pushy, and trying to upsell. When I've bought cars in the past, they have seriously low balled me on trade in values, and only after I call them out on it, do they actually offer a more honest, and fair offer. I understand they still need to make money on the trade in, but if they want a sale, they also need to make an honest offer to me. When i take my car in for oil change service, I always make an appointment, making it for first thing on a Saturday, at 7:30-8am depending on what is available...and despite having an appointment, and dropping my car off the night before, it still takes until 11am-noon....Why does it take 4 hours for a oil change when i have a scheduled appointment? My biggest peeve since buying the car is the fact that they cannot, or perhaps simply refuse to update their system with MY phone number or email address. When I schedule an appointment, if i do it by phone i give them my contact info, if i do it on their website, again, I give them my info, and when i drop the car off and fill out the form for the drop box....i put MY INFO. No matter how I do it, they ALWAYS for some reason reach out to my wife. I have asked them multiple times to correct this, but every time the confirmations are sent to her. I used to think this dealer was one of the better, more honest ones. I regrettably bought a service plan when I got the car, but once it is complete, I think my relationship with this dealership will also be. Bottom line, if they do not respect my time, won't update my contact info...they won't be getting any more of my business.

Way into my search after looking at a few car I saw an online listing for a Mazda3s for sale in Black along with a few pictures.. The listing did not say much, but it had a phone number, and said to call for more information. I called the number and reached a Mr. Ben Miller. We talked for a while briefly over the phone, and he told me whatever I asked about the car. Now this is where the excellent service part comes into place. I told him about my schedule over the next few days, and he said that if he had the car he would meet me early Sunday morning if I wanted to take a look at the car. We all know that car places are closed on Sunday., so that was great. But since it was a nice car, and I wanted to take a look at it before somebody bought it, I made a crazy suggestion, that if he wanted I could take a look at it after school, and I finished with other stuff, and 10 PM. What do you know, agreed. I was kinda shocked to that part. I drove from Raleigh to Greensboro late at night and he met me at his office late at night. He was just one of the nicest car sales person you could ever meet. So we test drove the vehicle, and it handled well, was clean on the inside, and appeared to have been painted on the outside. We went inside and talked numbers, then I agreed to purchase the vehicle. While he was filling out all of the paperwork he told me about some of the things that he did. One thing he can do is buy cars and sell them to you. Not exactly a broker, but similar from my understanding. This is how it works from what I can remember: 1) You specify the exact car you want, make, model, color, options, etc., and he finds it for you. 2) He goes to the dealer and buys it way cheaper than a normal person can. Way below invoice, and what the dealer is actually paying the car manufacturer for it. 3) Then he sales/leases you the car, are a low price. 4) You drive away happy and become a loyal customer for the future. All in all I would recommend buying a car from Miller Auto Sales in the future, and I think it is even worth the drive from Raleigh to Greensboro, or whatever part of town you are from to get a car from him. After all, who doesn't want to save a ton of money.

I think that's his strategy-- he takes a condescending tone with his customers in the hopes of pressuring them into a sale. If you decide to buy something, go in with confidence and don't let him play any games with you. Personally, I decided that it wasn't worth buying a car from someone who couldn't show me respect.

My experience buying a car from this Carmax was a mixed bag to be sure. This isn't my first time…read morebuying through a Carmax. It's a fine option for a person who doesn't really need to be "sold" a car, rather someone who has done all their own research on what they want to buy, has a price in mind, and just wants to go get it without too much hassle. There are some advantages to buying here, like the ability to bring it back within 10 days for a full refund, and not having to haggle. If you like the price, you buy the car, if you don't, you move on. Disadvantages of course, are pretty much that the salesman is not super motivated to sell you a car, and is therefore not going to be very knowledgeable about whatever car you roll up about and want to look at. This is fine for me, I knew what I wanted, and I got it. It wasn't without difficulty however. The specific car I wanted had to come in from Georgia, which I paid a transfer fee for. It was supposed to take 3-5 days, it ended up being over 2 weeks. This left us short a car for awhile, as we had already given up the other car based on their timeline. They did refund the transfer fee, so that made it partially right, but I say this to not take their word on their timelines. My second complaint, is that the transaction took WAY TOO LONG inside Carmax, especially given I had already filled out most paperwork in advance. The person helping us seemed pretty new, and she kept having to get up and ask other associates questions. She also was not very observant, we were pointing out things on the screen that she was missing. She really should have had someone looking over her shoulder to help, as she was not ready to be on her own. Finally, it's a good thing I advocated for myself and knew to check for certain things. Our new car is a plug in hybrid, and the car was supposed to come with a charging cable. It was not in the car anywhere, but with a little persistence they gave me one from their service center. Carmax does do a thorough inspection on the cars they sell, and actually, the independent shop I brought the car to said they've not had many problems with Carmax missing things. In my case that held true, their Volvo certified mechanic found nothing wrong with my car mechanically, and said it appears to have been well maintained and serviced. He did find a very small windshield chip, which Carmax fixed free of charge without any complaint. Would I buy another car from Carmax? I would, but I am someone who just needs someone to facilitate the transaction, I'm savvy enough to know the car on my own and do my own research. I wouldn't recommend Carmax as a place for the inexperienced buyer.

It has all the reasonable bells and whistles we need. The flexibility makes it safe for all of us during our longer rides. The new technology can be overwhelming. We both have enjoyed working with him to identify the right vehicle to satisfy safety and comfort. We met Ryan after we made our decision. He is very knowledgeable with the product.
