The team ran into some problems that were outside of their control and handled them extremely well. The spray makes a mess but they covered beforehand, and then cleaned up very well afterwards. Re cost, I obtained seven estimates. Only two came in cheaper, and I those estimators did not leave me with a good level of confidence that they would have quality work.

I also discovered that the technician moved my security camera from the window to a table without asking. This was captured on my security footage. When I raised these concerns with management, I felt they were dismissed. The manager told me he believed the technician's account over mine despite the video I provided. I also informed him that I intended to leave an online review. During our conversation, he responded by saying, "I'll sue you for defamation." And, " I can't wait to see everyone on Reddit laugh at you" That response made me question whether customers feel comfortable leaving honest negative reviews after receiving that kind of warning. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this company. I encourage anyone hiring these contractors to have security cameras and to document the condition of their home before and after service. In my opinion, moving a customer's security camera without permission is a serious security concern. Xcel's website has a list of companies you should use I'll provide a list below. Since then, I have referred hundreds of customers to this place over the years with my Window Company JDI Windows. All customers say they are knowledgeable, have more sevices for energy audit issues, and prices are very competitive. When it comes to blowing cellulose in walls or attics or thermal barriers for crawl spaces or insulating around canned lights, Bestway is who I recommend to everyone trying to seal up their home.

Instead, I got an earful how 'Steve' got no work done because he didn't adhere to his schedule and went to the wrong address. ??? Why do I care? I don't. Five hours after the fact and 'Steve' didn't check in with the office, and the office didn't reach out to say 'Oops, we did it again.' Not getting a third chance to not show up. **For a quote.** Imagine if we'd scheduled to do the work with them? As if. rec'd this defensive, unprofessional response from the owner, Debra W., who continues to demonstrate customer service doesn't exist at Bestway, although she did make my husband laugh aloud at her, so there's that positive, I suppose. "We aren't perfect and never said we were. We have been working 14-18 hours a day. I personally I have had 3 days off since the fires. The crews have had one day off a week. We are tired, we are exhausted, but we are trying to do the best we can. As a resident of Lafayette, and Louisville we are not gouging our neighbors like other companies. And we get alot [sic] of complements [sic] every day. So we must be doing something right. We don't make you sign a contract and we get the highest results out there so you are free to go with who ever you like." We did go with another firm, NetZero, who had excellent customer service, showed up every time they said they would, doesn't have one "sign a contract," has received numerous compliments and recommendations from our neighbors here in the Marshall Fire impacted neighborhoods (Superior and Louisville), did all the paperwork for us with the rebates, and charged a fair price, no gouging. Tip to Debra W.: next time you get a negative albeit honest review, instead of lashing out at the reviewer, take a moment to really read it and see what you can take away from it. If you still feel moved to reply, instead of being ugly and defensive, maybe say how sorry you are about the two no-shows and the poor customer service, that you are exhausted, etc., although that's no excuse, and you're sorry this customer slipped through the cracks. You can add that as a Lafayette resident you take treating residents of Louisville and Lafayette (and hopefully Superior, Broomfield, Erie) fairly. You didn't choose that path this time, perhaps you will the next.

The inspector seemed to gloss over many things & tried to downplay issues without evidence. We were called prior & told our inspector would take only two hours to finish an inspection that normally takes longer -- I think he glossed over many things as a result. Specifics we found after moving in that a visual inspection should have caught: * An interior door on the second floor with visible crack/damage from being forced. The report says interior doors were tested. This one isn't noted anywhere. * Mouse droppings under the kitchen sink -- a cabinet he opened & photographed -- & elsewhere in the home. No mention in the report. We now have an active rodent problem we didn't know about at closing. * The front door handle sticks & fights you when unlocking. Entry door locks & latches are explicitly listed as inspected in his own report. On top of that, three window coverings fell off the wall the first time we pulled the cords. Technically outside inspection scope -- but it speaks to the overall condition of a house we were told had basically nothing wrong with it. The in-person review made it worse. We were told there was basically nothing wrong with the house, & our questions were treated as an inconvenience. He seemed annoyed, arrogant & unkind. When asked, he explicitly said he didn't see evidence of mice -- verbally & on the report -- leading me to believe he was lazy & sped through it. Not characteristics of a great inspector. His own report lists 59 maintenance items & 8 repair recommendations -- so the verbal summary & the written report told two different stories. When I hire an inspector, I'm more impressed by people who are nit picky than forgiving. This is a huge purchase so I prefer someone who's kind, willing to take the time to make sure he doesn't miss anything at all & looks out for us. There are less expensive inspectors out there who are less forgiving than Scott's was this time around. I pay for anal retentive. That was not my experience. Worst of all? I asked for a refund & they flat out refused. It's possible they could do the same for you. I don't think we'll use Scott's ever again. I wouldn't recommend them & ESPECIALLY not Todd Brualdi for inspection services. I'm disappointed in Scott's leadership. Once upon a time, (in my opinion) it felt like a well ran firm that cared about their clients. That's not my opinion, anymore.
