Complaint Regarding Staff Behavior (Melvin) Today I visited your car wash and asked the staff member for a clean cloth swap. He said he didn't have any at the moment and told me to go to the office to get one. When I went inside, he took my cloth, threw it in the used bucket, and then took a dirty cloth from the same bucket and tried to give it to me. When I told him I wanted a new, clean cloth, he insisted that the dirty one was "the same." I explained that he had taken it from the used bucket. Only then he gave me a clean one -- and then, shockingly, he told me: "Don't come here again, bitch." I replied, "What did you just say?" because I couldn't believe the disrespect. The employee's name is Melvin. This behavior is completely unprofessional, insulting, and unacceptable. read more

I've been with Green for many years. Lately, I've noticed my car is not getting as clean as it once was, particularly the rear window and hatchback. The dryers are not getting to the rear of the SUV (Lincoln Corsair), leaving water that leaves water deposits when it dries. I will continue with Green, but I'm trying Samswash which just opened for a comparison. The better wash will win my monthly fee. read more

Awesome service! Well I first heard about the coming of this location a little less than a year ago. A gentleman at the Portsmouth location told me he was opening one up in the area... and he did! I am unsure how long this location has been opened but I visited about a week ago after the unexpected 757 snow... it was super packed the Saturday afternoon after. As a result, I opted to return the next day. So it's Sunday now about 11 am and granted the line/wait was not long at all, but it was definitely busy. I ended up running into the same guy from before... see my pics. He's the guy in the glasses, he owns this place. The location of the wash is in the up and coming area of Suffolk - College Drive area. Currently, the wash is surrounded by: Kroger, Ross, Micheal's, DSW, Five Below and a host of other shops. There are also at least 10 restaurants in the area. I chose the Manager Special wash (under $20) and was completely satisfied. They have options that are under $10 and the outcome is still awesome. The location is super new, therefore, the parking lot and vicinity are super clean. With all car washes, the vacuum service is FREE. There aren't many car washes in the area, so this one here brings in a lot of business. Of course I suggest you visit... I love the franchise. Have fun and enjoy life :) read more

This green clean has the worst management, the attendants are fine. The manager (Jen) and the assistant manager (Sammie) are the WORST. They are very unprofessional and have poor customer service skills. I purchased a $30 monthly membership. After having a dispute with Sammie, she purposely deleted/disabled my account, issued me a new sticker and then disabled the account again so that the sticker would not work the next time I tried to wash my car. Tonight I went to wash my car and waited 40 MINUTES in lane 2 designated for members because Sammie disabled the account/sticker, backing up the lane for other customers who began blowing their horn because of the long wait. At the same time, I witnessed (heard and saw) Sammie (asst mgr) speaking very rudely to another customer in lane 1 who arrived after me, which means she purposely made me wait since I arrived first. JT (attendant) had to use her personal cell phone to call the manager (Jen) and I had to wait for the customer in lane 1 to finish speaking to the less-than-helpful manager (Jen) so that I could speak to him as well. He was not helpful and did not apologize on behalf of his employee or for the long wait. BTW some of my groceries melted and started to unthaw while waiting. RIDICULOUS AND POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!! Jen (mgr) told me that I could leave my name and number and he would look into it later, but would not authorize a courtesy wash until he could figure it out. That is not acceptable for customers paying $30 a month for a service. I was especially frustrated since they had already taken the payment out of my account for October. I will be sure to socialize my experience on social media and will be calling the corporate office tomorrow. DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY HERE...although CONVENIENT if you don't want to wash your own car the service is TERRIBLE if you have any issues. I do have to give kudos to JT (attendant) for her patience, for apologizing for the bad experience, and trying her best to help resolve the issue and help customers in both lanes while Sammie went back to the office to talk on her cell phone. Maybe JT should be promoted to manager and Jen and Sammie demoted to lot attendants. ** I look forward to your response owner Nate G. ** UPDATE 10/14/24: I have to provide this update and change my rating from 1 star to 5 stars. I received a call from Lisa and she was amazing. She reached out within a few days and apologized for the experience. I love doing reviews about new establishments! Not sure how long Green Clean Auto Wash was here but it was right on time when I needed to get my care wash. The most expensive wash package was only $15 and that was a full scale clean. To me, a good clean is how they dress the tires. LOL! Unfortunately the tire dressing was the worst part of the visit, however, my car came out looking good. They have servants to do a pre-wash and these great light images that reflect over your car as you ride thru the wash. A decent size self serving vacuuming area that has some low-suction vacuums ( was really disappointed with them). Did not notice a detailing area and not sure if they allow that on the grounds. Otherwise, not bad for an inexpensive car wash; you actually get more than what you pay for. read more

The automatic car wash cleaned my car pretty well & the vacuums worked good too. I would recommend if you're needing a quick detail!

They will not reimburse you for ripping your wiper blade off. Take your business elsewhere. If your wipers are on auto and you don't shut the off quickly enough and it rips it off...You are on your own...Don't even bother filing a claim and my guess is they reimburse for 0 to 2% of all claims...Take your vehicles elsewhere...There are other options.. read more

The people who work here are not the nicest. I asked if they could turn the tire shine off and they looked at me like I was stupid and didn't say anything. He just turned and walked away. Not the first time this has happened. Just not going to come back. read more

Do not use! My car was damaged from the car wash and they refused to help cover any of the cost of repairs. $1,000 worth of damage.

One staff member had a horrible attitude. Never had this experience at a car wash before. He was an older gentleman who did not properly instruct me on how to drive into the entrance for the wash. He got upset due to his poor instructions that he gave me and walked off screaming and being very dramatic and screamed at another crew member to help me because he no longer do it. Went through here after getting some work done on my car. Like the fact they have a $5 option but I went for the $20 one...and it did well. Auto-wash tech has improved so all of the relatively good ones seem to offer the same options with slight variation on pricing, and that's the same here. Quick service due to my relatively early arrival. Didn't see towels to help wipe stuff off but otherwise things looked good, the car is clean, and I'm onto doing other things (which also helps it out-it's in close proximity to a number of things). read more

I think some of the negative reviews must have this car wash confused with another location. This is a drive-thru car wash, not one with personal service like an Auto-Bell. For $5 I can get a good car wash and free vacuuming self service - it's a deal you can't beat. I haven't tried the more expensive washes, but if you have a new car or expect personal service, there are other locations for that. I appreciate have a very low cost car wash where with a little elbow grease I can get my car really clean and I consider this the best bargain in town! With the cost of water, soap, and electricity, I can't get my car clean for $5 at home - and I don't need to drag all the stuff out of the garage to do it! I had a great experience. Wayyyyyyy better than Auto H3ll. I mean Auto Bell. Everything is automated and you pick what you want and use your card and drive on through. Once you get inside, they have someone who directs you to put your car in neutral and if you're getting any specialty wheel services, they do that before your car goes in the big washer machine. Once you're done, drive on over to the free vacuum cleaner and that's it. The unlimited wash deal is the best deal because you can just zip though every day if you want to, I usually go on my way home from work and it's good at their other locations. read more

Several workers rushing around, but slow results. I took my car in for "silver service" but not impressed. Waited more than 15 minutes for cashier to show up to accept payment, then had to ask her to accept my payment. It was an additional 30 minutes before my car was ready. I noticed 4 young women around a car-talking more than drying. Additional supervision and organization seem to be needed. I will likely drive a little further to auto bell next time read more

There's plenty of washes to choose from but I always Get the Manager's Special for $18. The wash is better than a gas station but not as great as a full detail. It's perfect spot when you're too lazy to get out of your car for a full detail. This place can get really busy after bad weather but most car washes do. If you want to vacuum after the wash there's plenty; just hope you find the one that works. read more

Just took my car there after getting bird droppings on it only one day earlier. Got one of the mid level washes and just checked after the wash and was very disappointed to find that not only were the bird droppings still all over my car, but the rinse was not complete and so there will inevitably be soapy residue all over. Don't waste your money here although if you need to vacuum your car that free option is a nice addition. read more

All in all the system they use is good. It is easy on the vehicle surfaces but the prep in the beginning could use some serious work. I owned an automotive detailing business years ago and granted this is completely different, some and I reiterate some of the employees seem to be there to hang out and for a paycheck. The idea of the brush is to get the heavy debris (bugs and film) off of the front end and on the rear to get the spots where the brushes on the machine cannot reach. I'm not sure they really understand that. I think some customer service training and proper job quality training would benefit them very well. I'm not sure what kind of management is on site but it really should be looked at. All in all the tunnel does a good job but personnel needs to some. read more

I went through the car wash at the Suffolk location on 14 May around 7:40pm. I frequent this location about 3 times per week and have been considering purchasing the monthly membership. That night however after going through the wash I pulled up to use the vacuums. Once I exited my vehicle I heard a man yelling angrily but I continued on as I am not a nosey person. Then I heard the angry yell again and decided to look up. I saw a man looking my way and still yelling and pointing his finger towards me. Now I was paying attention as this seemed odd because I couldn't figure out why someone would be so upset at me since I just went through a car wash. The man then yelled at me not to use the vacuums on the side I was on. I exclaimed not to talk to me in that tone but the man continued on ranting and yelling. I then exclaimed that I couldn't possibly know that I wasn't supposed to use those vacuums because there was no sign or cones displayed that would advise me I shouldn't be using them. I said to the man that because I would have no way of knowing this that he has no right to yell at me in the tone and manner that he was. He then said he was an employee and that I will do as he says and he can talk to me any way he wants. At this point he was walking quickly towards me as I was trying to put my floor mat back into my car. I advised the man not to approach me. He continued on towards me yelling and saying that he can do what he wants because he's an employee there. I got in my car and closed the door but he approached my drivers side window. I backed up and began to drive off. I gave the man the peace sign and he continued to stare me down until I drove off. I thought this was completely out of line and uncalled for. There was no need to yell or to be angry simply because I was about to use vacuums that were apparently out of use. He could have approached me and spoken to me in a much more respectful manner than what he did. I was contacted by an owner Mr. Everett who offered me a free carwash. I declined. Although this was generous and I would like to suppirt his business I cannot take a free wash as a solution. I believe that morals are more important and work ethic more valuable to his business. Therefore a solution regarding the employee would have been better. After not receiving that solution I have taken my business to Auto Bell instead. So far the employees there have been respectful and even dried my car for me. The spoke to mecas if they valued my business. read more

Paid for the $15 wash and didn't do a very good job at all and left soap on one side of my vehicle. Wouldn't recommend this place at all.

This car wash left my brand new recently detailed SUV with long scratches of both medium and fine depth from the headlight all the way down to the rear passenger door. I immediately called it out, showed it to the attendant, gave them my contact info and took pictures. I had to take off work to come back to speak with management only to be told that they don't feel responsible. When I asked for their corporate headquarters number he told me I could get it off the back of his shirt as he smirked at me and walked away. I called corporate and someone met me later that day only to pretty much for the company line and explain the same non-technical cop-out the first unprofessional guy spouted. What's worse is that I was actually using a gift card they'd given me from the last time their car wash had damaged a vehicle of mine. But hey, if I had a bottom line to protect, I probably wouldn't take responsibility for scratching a Mercedes truck either! The long and short of it is, if you like your car go elsewhere. read more
