Best of all, the entire repair ended up costing less than the first shop wanted to charge just for diagnostics. Honest, thorough, and dedicated to their customers. Highly recommend!

After getting what I thought was an outrageous estimate and a "doom and gloom scenario" from the Dealer I took my Lexus to The Auto Servivce (TAS) and had a great conversation with Walter and Glenn. I am beyond happy. TAS is my new go-to service center for my Lexus and we will also be bringing my wife's 4 year old Toyota Highlander to TAS for any work needed. I feel very happy and confident the team at TAS will be able to do what we need at a realistic price. Thank you!!

The dealership I purchased that car from unfortunately scammed me and sold me a car with a check engine light and hid the codes at the time of the sale. I explained the situation to Ron while trying to deal with a total emotional gut punch, and brought the car in to get diagnosed. Not wanting to spend a ton of money on a car that I might find myself in a legal battle with the dealership, Ron did everything he could and went above and beyond trying to explore what the issue was. For context, it was a low boost code which means it could have been any number of things related to the turbos. Ron spent way more time than just an hour trying to diagnose and address smaller cheaper fixes but ultimately it was determined the turbos were shot. In all of this, Ron only charged me for an hours worth of labor, took the time to explain and show me the issues, and write up the service quote for what the cost of repairs would be. Specifics aside, this is a good shop with an honest team. Ron is empathetic and really went the extra mile to help me out. It's not often you get to say that you really appreciate how a mechanic shop treats you.

After spending $15k to have my car fixed, the warning lights continued to illuminate my FEMALE face telling me I had NUMEROUS PROBLEMS. It was losing coolant, it was showing a misfire reading and the oil sensor was failing to read the level. Before returning the car, I filled the coolant, drove 100 miles and the light came on. It took 32 ounces of water to limp my way home. When I returned the car and asked politely if he could look at it, Ron said "read the manual!" The solution was reading the manual? He demanded additional money to check the problem. I shared with him that after spending $15K I expected to drive the car without any alarms going off. He finally lost his temper and shouted at me that he'd look at the car or I could call an Uber and immediately leave. I did leave, I left in TEARS. He called back and quoted another couple additional hundred dollars to fix it. My friend took me to pick up the car, Ron wanted me to sign a form acknowledging my refusal to be exploited again. I refused. This pissed him off! He said to my friend "are you her husband? If so, I feel bad for you!" He made highly inappropriate, sexist comments to me and other female customers. He is a predator who manipulates and mistreats women. Check the other bad reviews--the pattern is real. Ron should be ashamed of his behavior. I wouldn't send my enemies to him (well, maybe). While Tom's team was working on that, I waited in their office. The office was air conditioned, with very comfy seating, and a clean restroom. There was also a water cooler, which I appreciated. My car wouldn't start because the battery was drained, so I had it towed to a shop that advertised…read moreelectrical repair. After explaining the issue, I was told they would diagnose the problem and call me with their findings. A few hours later, I called for an update and was told they had found a parasitic battery drain and needed to run additional tests. Later that day, they called back and said the problem was simply a faulty battery and that replacing it would solve the issue. I approved the repair, which ended up costing about $430 for the battery. After picking up the car, I immediately noticed that some of the electronics were not working correctly and it still felt like the battery was being drained. Because the original diagnosis didn't seem to match the symptoms, I took the vehicle to Al's Electric Repair in Anaheim, a shop that had successfully fixed an electrical issue on another vehicle of mine. Al's quickly identified a parasitic drain caused by a camera installed inside the cabin. Once they repaired the drain, the electrical issues disappeared and the car has been running properly ever since. What concerns me is that the first shop initially told me they had found a parasitic drain, but later concluded that the battery was the only problem. Whether the battery needed replacement or not, the actual drain remained and was causing the issues I brought the car in for. Based on my experience, Al's Electric Repair accurately diagnosed and repaired the problem, and they have now successfully resolved electrical issues on two of my vehicles.
