I just had a new AC, furnace and insulation installed by Green Collar. Holy Moley, talk about good…read moreservice. I knew from the minute I talked with Bill Cook I wanted these guys to install (helped by the fact that my friend and well respected broker Eileen Gill recommended them VERY highly). Bill was patient with my questions, gave me a very thorough assessment of what i needed, was very transparent with pricing and options on COA rebates and programs vs what I needed. He didn't upsell, worked with my budget, and I felt like he really had my best interests at heart. The install teams were true professionals, very covid aware, clean and precise in their work, and I really felt like I had absolute experts taking care of my beloved home. Even during an ice storm event, they came through and finished the work and my home is now warm and cozy and the new furnace is so silent and efficient. Is it wierd that I wish I needed another AC? They are that good. What a find. I will for sure recommend them to everyone who asks.

I chose Green Collar for my City of Austin Weatherization service. I was hesitant, and called the…read moreoffice to ask questions about the business. Cord spent about 20 minutes answering my questions about how long they had been in business, how they would handle unexpected problems, and what I could expect. The owner Ron came out for the evaluation appointment and he also explained more details of the work they would perform. The installation of new ac ducts went very smoothly and the workers cleaned up after finishing each day. I would highly recommend Green Collar to anyone needing duct replacement or repair.

The HeatBusters - Stapling up radiant barrier. We staple every 4-6 inches on every single rafter. On average we use about 10,000 staples an attic

We're in the middle of a hectic renovation with an ancient HVAC system, half our exterior wall…read moreinsulation missing, and some drywall open to the outside. So honestly, I didn't expect an attic makeover ALONE to completely solve our heat problem. Investigate your attic and air leaks before spending quadruple+ the cost to upgrade the entire hvac. With almost fossilized attic insulation, passive inefficient gable vent and no radiant heat barrier, we've been sweating inside the house as soon as the sun was out. While they were working on the attic with the old insulation removed and attic door open, the inside temperature spiked to 80°F with the AC blasting nonstop. Once the new insulation and radiant barrier was in, even our obsolete hvac was able to keep the house cold that we had to raise our target temperature. Mistakes happen, but how a company responds reveals their true character. After the blow-in, negative pressure began pulling loose insulation through hidden gaps around our furnace closet ceiling, clogging our AC filter and choking the airflow. Following a long evening of emergency DIY sealing and cleanup, I reached out to explain the situation. Jim and a technician showed up the very next morning, sincerely apologized, addressed all questions and concerns, and mastic-sealed everything properly. They earned this five-star review because instead of getting defensive, they treated us like human beings, owned the issue, audited what was missed in their protocol, and actively improved their process to prevent it from happening again.

Heat Busters provided a top notch experience, insulating our attic and installing ventilation…read more Would highly recommend to lower your energy bills! Great customer service - thank you!

He took the time to explain the problem in detail, what was needed to fix it, and how long the repair would take. I always knew what was happening and what to expect. What really stood out was Michael's genuine focus on customer service. He was friendly, personable, and clearly cared about keeping my family comfortable. While the repair was being completed, he even brought in portable units to help keep us cool. Michael did exactly what he said he would do and completed the work when he said it would be done. His communication, professionalism, technical knowledge, and commitment to his customers were exceptional. Great technician and an excellent representative of the company! I highly recommend this company for any HVAC service needs.

My technician Ryan Lake was able to quickly find an unsealed joint between the duct and drywall at the moist register and sealed it for me. He completed this service and thoroughly inspected my HVAC equipment (per my request) while tidying and cleaning behind himself everywhere he went. I paid less than $150 for the entire service. I told him I was happy to pay more for the value of service I received but he politely declined. Ryan could not have been more professional and polite. A massive thank you to McCullough and Ryan!
