My food was cold I ordered grits requested cheese in grits they put 2 slices of unmelted cheese on top of the eggs, grits were cold and didn't really taste or look like grits I asked for condiments they only sent butter and syrup for pancakes. LeRoy: I had a old familiar, hot roast turkey dinner. But I was not as pleased as I would have been if it had been a complete turkey dinner. I had to eat a hot bread with the turkey dinner, and the thing I didn't like the most is there was no cranberry sauce. Other than that it was fairly tasty. Katie: The Caesar salad came with a new Caesar dressing I've never had before. It was not the original creamy but it was still pretty good. A little sour, but still pretty good. We have been thinking of trying this place for awhile now, so today we finally did. I had the seafood platter, which was really good. My bf ordered the Bacon Cheeseburger Salad, which is supposed to be this: Bacon Cheeseburger Salad Fresh lettuce, bacon, ham, turkey, egg, red onions, tomatoes, Swiss & American cheese with ranch dressing. Instead, it had cut up cheeseburger, no ham, turkey or egg, (it did have bacon) and dill pickle slices. He absolutely can not stand dill pickles, and the juice was all soaked into the lettuce, so he couldn't really even eat it. The lady at the pick-up counter was very friendly. Horrible experience through Grubhub for the 3rd time. A beef burrito came as a salad on top of slop. My dinner salad was missing. Green Apple staff tried to blame this on Grubhub but Grubhub is not the one preparing or packaging the food. Been going for years to this place. The owner is super kind and the food is excellent. The soups are homemade and I love the fried chicken dinner. I would say it's one of the best fried chickens I've ever had. For some reason they have one waitress that always gets snippy and we always end up getting even though we try to avoid her. This place was meh. Nothing spectacular on the menu, the decor is nice and service was decent. Food was nothing to write home about. My boyfriend was not impressed with his burger at all. This place is the perfect diner! They have the best breakfast, great service and clean interior. I would reccommend the multigrain pancakes with strawberries and blueberries. YUM. Moved to Waterford last September, my wife actually has a 4 star review on here because up until today, we've had nothing but good food from here and for the most part, good service. I place a carry out order at the bare minimum once a week. Generally it's always 2 salads for dinner for my wife and I. Today I placed the carry out order, same as usual. Came in to pick it up and the salad was there waiting for me. A tall curly haired man who I later found out was the owner gave me my food and said "One julienne salad with three ranch dressings." I said, I ordered a Ranchero Chicken salad. He said back to me, "Ranchero chicken I apologize yes." So as I am standing in line to pay for the salad, i take a look at the receipt and it says Julienne salad. So I take the food over to the counter top and open the box up to see what I received. A julienne salad, not what I ordered. The owner who handed me the food knowing it was the wrong salad and told me otherwise was staring at me as I opened the box. He knew he messed up, he knew he lied, but didn't correct it. After saying I don't appreciate being lied to my face and I walked out, he apologized several times. I understand if you are a waitress and you screw up an order, you may do something like this to cover yourself so you don't have to pay for the food. I would still be upset, but it's another thing when you are the owner of the establishment. I realize my 20-40 dollars a week in carry out orders isn't going to break this restaurant, but I can for sure tell you I will never be back, and I will never recommend this place to anyone. There are plenty of establishments on Dixie highway that won't lie to you. read more

Okay so we went today for lunch, and in my hubby's terms..."they committed yelpacide"....here's why: we have been there twice. The first time they didn't have a table because they have all their tables in the banquet room and only booths in the dining room and they had a birthday party going on. So my family of six crammed knee to knee in a booth. The food was okay THAT time. Fast forward to today: we walked in and asked for a table. Well, they didn't have any tables, all the tables in the back were taken up by a baby shower. Which I commented that is always the case. But we only had five this time, so we accepted a booth with a chair at the end. Now, here's the thing. I'm a larger girl, but the guy (owner/manager) was a little out of line when he looked at me and said, "we have a very big booth we can set you at, and we can put a chair at the end for you ma'am". Okay, my mother in law had wanted to go there so I let it go. Then he brought me a "wobbly" chair with no cushion, instead of one of the extra chairs that line the hall at the front that are sturdy metal chairs with cushions. I told my husband that if I ended up on the floor there were going to be problems. Every time I moved I wondered "is my next stop the floor?" The waitress was very nice and she stayed on top of our refills...she is the only reason I give it a star at all. So she took our order and our food came out, and it looked good, and it tasted okay. But my fries were supposed to be well done and were not, they were lukewarm. But that's not even the worst of it. I needed more mayo for my burger, so I asked for some and she brought it. HOWEVER, when I opened it, it was half gone and there was a knife/fork print in it where someone had used it and then when they cleaned the table they put it back in the fridge because it had the lid back on it and they didn't bother to check. Even so, to reserve food is illegal. Even if unused, it a health code violation, no matter what it is. Further, when I held the mayo out to her she didn't take it, she made a face and left it on our table. In the meantime my hubby and I are both thinking, so what else are we eating that someone else has touched?? Are we eating second hand food? The waitress did apologize, but she wasn't willing to take it and dispose of it. When I said to her that someone must've taken it and put it back in the fridge off of a table, she didn't act surprised. Now we are home and still thinking "what might we have eaten that had been served before?" I value my health, and don't pay for re-used food. I will not eat there again. read more

They forgot the soup in our order and when we called about it, it became a big ordeal so we said just to forget about it. Before hanging up we heard the lady yell "They found it." Whatever. I went to this restaurant after passing it so many times in the past. I took my sister in law from California who brought her mother in for a meal, and this is all she talked about before going back home. So we were encouraged also to go in, and I tell you the food was delicious, and homemade. I ordered the Greek combo, and it was more than I could eat. The waitresses were so sincere. It's a family fwwl when you go in. The menu items are so abundant. I can't wait to go back in. You wonk bw disappointed, and I know you'll be back. The only reason I give 2 stars is due to our last visit. We camp in the Holly area and try to find a mom and pop place to eat. We hit the Green Apple last year and it was great. This year we went back, and although the same people were there, it was a totally different experience. My wife and daughter had omelette sand I had a hot turkey sandwich. My daughters had eggshells in it, and my potatoes tasted very sour. I even had my wife try them to make sure it wasn't just me. They remade our food and never even offered to take anything off the bill or even offer some dessert to go. Will not be going back.... read more
