We moved here from Chicago last summer and Drayton Cafe is just around the corner. Since discovering Drayton it is our GO TO spot for a great lunch or breakfast. The women that run this joint are AWESOME! And yes, I said women, because every time I'm there they are ruling the griddle and tables. Service is always prompt and the food is always delicious. We spend almost every weekend here enjoying their biscuits and gravy breakfast special. For around $6 you get a 1/2 order of biscuits and gravy, 2 eggs, and hashbrowns or meat. All of my favorite breakfast items in one special! The biscuits are lightly toasted and the gravy is rich and creamy without being too spicy. During the week I frequently order BLTs to go - my favorite combination of perfectly toasted bread, crisp bacon, and fresh tomato! I was hesitant to leave them a review because this place gets busy enough on the weekends, but if you are in the area definitely check them out for breakfast or lunch, it's a hidden gem. read more

This place is everything that you want in a hometown diner. Atmosphere, charm, great service and all of the food seems to be made with very good ingredients. Everything my friend and I had was absolutely perfect. The eggs were light and fluffy. The sausage was cooked with just the right amount of char and the bacon was excellent and crispy. I love this little spot, on weekends I usually come in with the wife and enjoy their friendly service and small down home diner feel. The food is also pretty good, I love the Kentucky hash, it's ham onions green peppers mixed with hash browns topped with Swiss cheese and two eggs any way you want and toast. This is my thing at Drayton cafe, but I found all the breakfast choices to be fresh and tasty. The service is usually really good, the places clean, and most weekends not really a wait. The five stars is for what it is, good food, good service pretty good prices just a great little diner cafe that's getting harder and harder to find these days. I'll be back I really enjoy it on the weekends supporting small businesses and places like this. read more

This cafe is a very quaint restaurant that is perfect for a quick breakfast or lunch. The woman who run this place are on it...super friendly service, very efficient, and are churning out well done plates. We tried the breakfast special, meat omelette, and kids pancakes. The Breakfast Special comes with 3 eggs any style, meat, pancakes, and toast. The eggs were ordered over medium and came over easy. The meat was crispy and good. The pancakes were offered plain or blueberry. Try blueberry! They use fresh, big blueberries - yum! The toast was slathered with margarine...gross. I will order it dry next time. The meat omelette was great! The kids chocolate chip pancakes were a generous portion. I wish they offered half and half instead of the coffee mate knock off that they have. Overall it was a good meal for a great price (our bill was under $30). read more

It's a good family owned business (as far as I know) and it's a good place to get a good breakfast. Yes it's small, but they're almost always friendly and the food is made to order. I enjoy coming here once in a while just make sure they're open before you go! I love local breakfast joints so it's a good place for me and my family. read more

Don't get the breakfast! It all seems to suck. However the dinner food is ok, so it's a real mixed bag. For some reason I can't find a good breakfast place in Waterford but I guess I'll keep trying or die. My omelette was tiny and horrible and not really even an omelette, my pancakes were on the same plate as my omelette, and the food my hot ass date ordered looked terrible too.
