Feta and harissa are the predominant flavoring of choice here. We really enjoyed our visit. I only…read moreawarded four stars because it was basically an excellent convenient food place and not a sit-down restaurant. Add full order takers, remove the line to order, add linens and a few more such dress ups and I could see five stars, but not yet. Many times before I have included in my reviews that I do not evaluate chain restaurants because they all meet corporate standards, grossly annoy me, or there happens to be some outstanding event. There seems to be a new chain restaurant concept that is not some national giga-corporation, but local or regional restaurants. I like these. I will evaluate them as they are harder to find and do not look like Mc-Tacos, or Sub-Fish. My wife and I liked this place - a lot. So, for the food: My wife had a chicken salad and she really enjoyed it. The chicken was covered in harissa which she proclaimed as flavor and spicy but not hot. We shared the tomato soup and a baklava cheesecake. The soup was very good, fresh, but not raw and the basil and feta balanced well with it. Being New Yorkers, we are fussy about our cheesecake and were intrigued by the title. A thin layer of baklava rested on top, but it was hard to cut through. I had to peel it off and eat it independently. Perhaps if they chopped the baklava and put it on top, it would be easier to eat. By the way, the baklava was quite good. Between that layer and a sponge cake type bottom (crust?) was the cheesecake. It was not a gooey, "let's see how much cream cheese we can use" cake. It was well balance with a nice flavor. For my main meal, I got the lamb burger. Two meat patties were inside the bun with great Greek style veggies, etc. The lamb tasted like lamb. This is actually a high compliment. Many restaurants, and even some grocery store meat counters use some other strange kind of meat. Here, it tastes like lamb and not some flavorless grey patty of questionable origin. The unsweet iced tea was the best I've had in any fast-food shop. Value was good. My wife commented that it was a lot of food, but the bill was commensurate with the quantity and quality. Service was excellent. You pay for your order and get a card to stick on a car antenna looking thing and they bring the food to you. And they bus your table. Everyone was friendly. We did get there 20 minutes after opening and by the time we left there was hardly a seat available. Take-out business looked brisk also. As the place in brand new, of course it was clean and cheery with many window to brighten the place. Even though it is a bit out of our way, I would say this place blows away all the pita houses in town. They also sell beer

Greek Vibe, Missed Connection…read more My family has visited Taziki's before, but this was my first time joining them. We decided to pick up an order to bring along for a day of wine tasting. Walking in, the ambiance immediately hit the right note--bright colors and crisp décor that genuinely felt like a Greek spot, instantly reminding me of a place I'd visited in Sint Maarten. Unfortunately, the rest of the experience was a bit mixed: Service: The staff was pleasant enough, but the service felt fairly indifferent. When my order was ready, the employee simply called my name, set the bag on the counter, and walked away without making direct eye contact or handing it to me. Had they been slammed, I would have understood, but the restaurant was quiet with only one person in line behind us. The Food: Prepared fresh and served hot. I ordered the soup and Greek salad. Both were good, though neither stood out as particularly memorable. The Utensil Mystery: When I sat down to eat my soup, I searched the bag and couldn't find a spoon. Assuming it was forgotten, I started using my fork and planned to just drink the remaining broth. It wasn't until later, when I unrolled the foil around my tortilla, that I discovered the spoon wrapped inside. A heads-up or standard placement would have been helpful! It was a completely okay meal, but nothing blew me away. Unless I was craving Greek food and didn't have any other options in town, I probably wouldn't go out of my way to return.

We arrived at Med Gyro & Shawarma at 11:15. We were the only customers. We ordered a Gyro Bowl, a Chicken Kebab Bowl, a Gyro Wrap, a Chicken Shawarma Wrap, a side of hummus and a side of baba ganoush to go. Both of us tried the bowls there. The man behind the counter was standoffish. Gyro Bowl had a small salad with sour pickled red cabbage, lettuce shreds, a few red onions, and diced tomatoes. There was a bed of turmeric basmati rice and on top was thinly sliced crisped gyro neat. The gyro meat was sliced too thin for me. I don't mind crust on the meat but when put on the flattop sliced thin the meat is tough like jerky. The tzatziki did not have the garlic and dill seasoning I am familiar with. I tasted mint. 3/5 The Chicken Bowl was identical to the Gyro Bowl except with pieces of chicken. The chicken was cooked perfectly and delicious. It was served with tzatziki. 5/5 Chicken Shawarma Wrap was filled with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes and a few slices of red onion with a small amount of chicken shawarma meat. The man was arguing with someone on the phone and burned the wrap he was warming up. I don't really know if he was arguing as I could not understand the language. His tone and emphasis with words made me think he was arguing. I tasted burnt wrap and didn't enjoy the shawarma. 2/5 The Gyro Wrap was filled with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, and a few slices of red onion. The Gyro meat wasn't as crispy and the taste came through. 4/5 The hummus was meh. Very bland with chickpea chunks. 2/5 The baba ganoush was excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed it. 5/5 The food was ok. I wouldn't drive 2 hours back to eat the foods again. My taste buds look for authentic Gyros and Shawarma and these flavors are not what I am accustomed to. For locals who have never traveled overseas to try the authentic flavors, the foods here might be good but for seasoned travelers they miss the mark. 3/5

It's tucked at the end of a typical strip mall -- so you're not going there for the vibe. Inside, it's clean (which is always a plus), but a bit on the sterile side for my taste. Not the end of the world, just one man's perspective. Service: Super friendly and welcoming. Looked like just one person was running the show -- possibly the franchisee -- and he handled everything smoothly and with a smile. What really stood out was how many regulars he clearly knew by name. In this day and age, that's a rarity and such an important part of true hospitality. Food & Drinks: The food was very good. I had the Falafel Wrap, and the falafel itself was light, crispy, and well done. Overall, a solid job. To be candid -- did it blow me away? No. But it absolutely met every expectation I had, and I left completely satisfied. The menu and presentation felt a bit more standardized, which makes sense since they have other locations, but the quality was still there. I'd go back again without hesitation. Overall: A reliable, satisfying option for Greek food in Murfreesboro -- and definitely worth a try in my opinion.
