Women's bathroom
Kelly G.

I wish I could give them 0 stars. The whole experience was terrible. First off, this place is expensive (which I wouldn't mind if it was worth it). There's a $10 cover for each person to get in, then you pay a ton for whatever flavor of hookah you want. Drinks aren't terrible but there's only Bud Light, Michelob, and Corona (no limes for your corona). The music was good but was clearly from some music streaming service, but don't worry not the premium version cause their was commercials. Additionally, whoever was picking the stations on it was changing the songs in the middle of it without a smooth transition. It felt very poorly put together and there only seemed to be two employees in the whole place. Oh! There was also a child there which made my entire group of friends feel uncomfortable (the kid was at a hookah bar and up past 10pm, yikes). If you want to use a clean bathroom, don't come here! The women's restroom was absolutely DISGUSTING. It looked like it hadn't been cleaned in years. I had one guy friend with me and he said the men's room was the same (but with the added bonus of pee on the floor with a 'Caution Wet Floor' sign. Classy. Forgot to mention about the cover fee-- if you use a card you get an unauthorized fee/tip on your card. And you don't know until it's already happened. The seating is odd, but decent. There's half booths with small cube tables and chairs. It's okay in terms of comfort. There were numerous TVs and projector screens but they weren't being utilized. Halfway through the time I spent here they did start playing music videos on the TVs but it wasn't matching up with the song playing so that was weird. This was my first time at a hookah bar, but everyone else with me had gone multiple times (just different bars). There was a terrible experience and I would not recommend this place to anyone. I don't mind paying a higher bill for a fun experience but this place SUCKED. I wish I didn't waste an hour and a half here but I wanted to at least get my money's worth. For the 4 of us to get in, pay for the hookah itself, get 3 beers (total not each), and a water it was just over $100. That's pretty expensive, and like I said already, I wouldn't have minded paying so much if we would have at least enjoyed ourselves. If you want a fun night out with friends smoking hookah, do not come here. You are better off burning a $100 bill for the same effect but less of a waste of time.

They had Hookahs for $10 which was a plus however it was smoking harsh as soon as it came and burning my throat so i didn't stay long . I ordered their mild hot wings and they were freshly cooked and tasty . It was a cool vibe , just a little dead but it was Sunday so I understand. I'd definitely give them another try .

I'm trying to go to a hookah lounge for my birthday and was wondering how old do you have to be to get in?

The posh design and atmosphere make you feel like you've stepped into another world. The food absolutely lived up to the ambiance. The beef kabobs were incredible--perfectly seasoned, flavorful, and served in just the right portion. The hummus was smooth and delicious, pairing wonderfully with the meal, and the chicken plate was equally satisfying. My favorite, though, was the welcome soup. The flavors burst in your mouth with the very first bite, setting the tone for the entire experience. Overall, it was a memorable meal with exceptional food, beautiful surroundings, and outstanding service. I can't wait to go back!

The restaurant was basically empty one 3 or 4 tables. Then we waited a while for water. Finally someone brought us welcome soup. Then someone else brought us water.. we got our appetizers with no plates. So we had to ask for plates then Finally someone else brought them. We tried a new dish. That didn't have much flavor. It reminded me of a quesadilla from taco bell.. but not as good. See pictures. The Baba ghanoush was good. But they brought out cold pita bread.. and then my favorite, the main dish, the fish.. y'all I'm not kidding. They had ranch dressing drizzled across this plate with spots of ketchup... I kind you not see pictures!

We had read somewhere that Acme Feed & Seed (in an historic 1890 building) offered a quieter alternative. We gathered around a nice table near the stage on the first floor, and maybe there were a dozen other people there? Yet, on the next Broadway block things were in full swing? We weren't complaining, but wondered why? The first floor at Acme has been described as a high-energy "Funky Tonk" atmosphere featuring a main stage for live music, a large bar, and fast-casual dining. Our band during our stage was even a little different than that, and what an enjoyable group is was! The Mudbug Stompers brought us the sounds of old-time jug bands, Dixieland jazz, blues, trains, baseball, and crawfish boils. Although this is a Nashville Band, we could have easy been on or around Bourbon Street in NOLA. I was particularly impressed with the trumpet player and the lead singer who played a mean mandolin. Add the string base, sax, and fiddle, and we experienced a very impressive whole. We were highly entertained and engaged, and we're still talking about the experience!

Visited U&I Restaurant and Bar and had the pleasure of meeting the charming Heidi (one of the…read morefamily owners) who took exceptional care of me. Even though she was the only serving staff for the evening, she was always smiling and a joy to talk with. This place has a diverse menu, there is no "cooking at your table" available at some Korean places. I started with the Shumai (steamed dumplings) and ordered the La Galbi along with a Kirin Ichiban beer. These dumplings are an amazing surprise...normally expect shrimp dumplings to be overpowering with the taste of shrimp, but not these. The seafood flavors were light, allowing you to taste shrimp and the other ingredients in the dumpling while a little "dip" into the sweet soy sauce made for an awesome appetizer. The La Galbi...marinated and grilled Korean BBQ beef short ribs were so good, you could taste the sweetness of the marinade, and the meat was so tender. There were several slabs of the short rib and along with the sides was a huge meal. You also get a few different sides like Kimchi (light heat), pickled Daikon radishes (slightly sweet and crunchy), Gamja-salad (slightly sweet Korean mashed potatoes salad), and Korean fish cake (kind of bland for me).  While not a "patio" they do have a dining area that when the shutters are opened, gives it a patio feel...overall the place is nicely decorated and comfortable. The food here is done really well and the service was great; I will be back again to try some of their other dishes like the Jjajjang-Myun and Bibimba.

I have debated whether to write this review. Based on other reviews, I suspect we visited on an…read moreevening where something really bad had happened. However, I think it is important to share our experience. I made a reservation for my family of four to celebrate my wife's birthday. I had heard great things about the restaurant, and we are always on the lookout for new places to try. We arrived on time, and were immediately seated. The person that seated us commented, "I have a very nice table for you." Water was provided for the table right away. And then, nothing. We were not given menus. It was several minutes before we even saw any server at any other table. As we looked around the room, we could see there were other patrons who were also being neglected. A couple sitting at one table nearby had menus, but no one took their order. After about 15 minutes, a young man came by the table and asked if we were waiting for our orders. We told him we had not even been given menus yet. He said, "Oh, I'm so sorry! I will get you some menus." He left, but never returned. Finally, my daughter, who is a server at another restaurant in Murfreesboro, went to the front desk and asked for menus. She was provided menus and told the restaurant had several employees "call out" for the evening. We looked over the menus and discussed ordering some appetizers, but no one ever came to take our order. The couple I mentioned earlier finally decided to leave without ordering. As they made their way to the door, an employee apologized to them and told them if they would stay, they would take their order. Meanwhile, at the table behind us, food was delivered. One of the patrons at the table remarked that the dish they ordered was supposed to have chicken, but there was no chicken in the dish. The server apologized and said -- I'm not kidding -- "I can go to the kitchen and get some chicken, and you can add it to the dish." At this point, we decided to leave. As we made our way to the door, the person that seated us noticed and asked if we were leaving. We told her we were, and left. I normally would not leave a negative review based on a single visit, but this experience was possibly the worst I have ever had anywhere. I hope this is an isolated incident that occurred when the restaurant was experiencing an extraordinarily bad night. I would like to give U&I another chance at some point. If I do and the experience is better, I will update this review.
