Visiting from out of town and was looking for a chill place to enjoy my evening. I didn't think…read morehookah existed in a city such as Nashville but it does and this place was conveniently near my hotel. Service- came on a Tuesday night so the waitresses were pretty attentive. Hookah- tried Rose Mint(recommended by my waitress) and it was pretty smooth. I was there for about almost two hours and with the help of new coals- it was good the whole time and didn't get harsh (at least I didn't let it get harsh). This place does have a rule that it makes you get a refill after 3 hours- I've never heard of this anywhere else but makes sense because after that- are you even getting the flavor anymore ? Drinks - I tried Smurf Sex (similar to an Adios MF) and Hookah water (got it because of the name). Both were good & strong but that hookah water does not look good at all. Overall- the place is a nice little vibe (especially because the patrons were people that looked like me and hip hop/R&B music was played). Definitely would come back.

Otherwise, it was okay, staff was a little rude and acted like they didn't want to be there, but we had a drink, smoked our hookah...which was good, and we left after an hour.

The Blackhorse Pub's interior evokes the ambience of a saloon, with dark stained wood and a long…read morebar in the restaurant's main room. My first thought when we walked in was that the restaurant must be busy all the time, and the tips good, because they had several servers whizzing around taking care of their customers. Good beer and drinks are a given (several house brews), but the food was amazing. We ordered fried green tomatoes (pimento cheese on top) and roasted brussel sprouts, so we could nibble as we drank. Then for dinner: the prime rib au jus sandwich, the Reuben, the Patty Melt, and the Cletus (Southern through and through). Our Toddler ordered the baked Mac N Cheese (good sized serving and looked delicious--lots of cheese and perfectly browned--and a side of fruit). Everyone was happy!

I had a couple of hours to kill before a tattoo appointment across the street (reviewed separately)…read moreso I stopped here for lunch. It was very busy around 12:30 mid-day, but I was seated immediately. There is downstairs and an upstairs that looks over the first floor. They have a huge menu. Lots of pub fare. Beer cheese, nachos, various pizzas (tons of combinations, most with lots of meat, and you can create your own). They also have flatbreads (again, several combos, some veggie, some meaty). Entrees include steaks, pork chops, grilled chicken, chicken tenders, salmon, and shrimp tacos. Large selection of sandwiches (turkey, clubs, BLT, reuben, prime rib). And at least 10 different types of burgers. I had the cowboy, made with Monterey Jack, bacon, sautéed onions, mushroom, lettuce, tomato, and pickle). Huge burger (I only ate half). The fries were hot and tasty. The burger arrived medium as I had ordered and the produce seemed fresh. The mushroom and onion flavors were lost somehow, and the burger could have used a little more seasoning, but overall solid for being local to Clarksville. I had a couple of cocktails, some type of margarita with cranberry, and a basic mule. They were fine, but nothing special and nothing I would order again. They have a ton of beers here, and that's what they are known for, so if you're a beer drinker, that's your best bet. They have brunch on the weekends. My server was attentive and kind.
