Went on 8/1/25 steak was good and cooked to order, no salad bar , my salad was soaking wet , drowned in salad dressing, with maybe 3 croutons , and cheese. Mac and cheese was obviously not fresh made , steak fries were lukewarm and tasted of old grease. Waitress was friendly but had no idea if they had dessert or not , the chef was outside the kitchen and told her they had 2 types of cheesecake. The chef apparently doubles as a bathroom maintenance man as I saw him carrying tools and a toilet roll holder into the bathroom to do some repairs, decided to pass on dessert. A buddy and I came back down to Paragould Arkansas to finish out their duck season. if you been around this town on a Sunday, you know there's not a whole lot of restaurants open.(weird) We have drove by the Grecian many of time but just didn't stop in. I'm always checking yelp to fine the best. They didn't have the best reviews and we didn't have many options. Boy am I glad for that. We had great service and the ribeye steak special was on point tonight. If you're in town looking for a great reasonable steak...... this is your Place.(even on Sundays). When you go here I recommend ordering something grilled. Me and my wife got the sirloin that was $9 and it came with a baked potato. The steak was really good for the price. I love the idea of a steak house that is affordable. The burgers don't seem very big here but I am told they are good. When you come here order something grilled. The fried food items most likely come out of a box here. They also have a buffet at Grecian. The buffet here consists of the type of thing you would find on a kids menu. IE chicken tenders out of a box, macaroni and cheese, French fries and a few more items. The salad bar seems decently sized. Some menu items come with the salad and or desert bar and some don't you will want to ask your server. You can add the desert bar for $2 bit I don't recommend it. While I was here they had banana pudding with no bananas in it, a dry chocolate cake and soft serve ice cream that was more ice and less cream. All in all I would come back here, for only costing a little more than a fast food meal and getting steak it is an excellent value. read more

Took my mother and girlfriend here a while back, no plans of returning. We ordered our food with the salad bar, which was good. I honestly cannot recall the exact food ordered for me and my girlfriend, but my mother ordered a steak that was larger than she expected (I think the 2nd largest they have). Anyways, after we were done, mom could only eat half of her steak, if that and asked for a to-go container. They brought this small container big enough for a baked potato to fit in. When asked for a larger container, the waitress said their policy requires them to take the food back to the kitchen to place it in a bigger container... This sounded strange to us, and we spoke with a manager who literally refused a larger container without taking my mothers plate back to the kitchen. We couldn't understand the issue with placing the left over steak at the table. Their response was "to avoid people going back to the buffet". If they seen a person going back to the buffet afterwards, speak up then. This is the only place I've had an issue getting a to go container for left overs. Additionally, we noticed their menu states "no sharing". I feel if I am paying for a plate and my girlfriend or company wants to taste something, that should be my choice. However, I was told yesterday that they charged her twice for her plate because they seen the person she was with try a piece of her dish. Be sure to verify your check before paying! read more

We ate here today with family after attending my uncles funeral. It will be the last time. Guys, it was just gross. The only thing that I can say was good was the tea & salad. The server was sweet and was attentive considering she had one side by herself. The lady working salad bar had it clean and neat. Our table had a variety of items so it wasn't just one thing that tasted poorly. The chicken fried steak was lacking flavor only being saved by the packaged gravy. Chicken strips were the cheap frozen type found at Walmart. My mother ordered the broiled chicken, she left over half. It's obvious management is trying to save money, and it shows in the product. Save your money and go elsewhere, even if it's McDonalds. *** In response*** I stand by my review. Three chicken strips to a plate, I had part of one, others tore a bite to taste. My son ate the other 2 because he said even though bad, it was better than his chicken fried steak, over half left on his plate uneaten.. Husband said Alfredo was not bad other than the sauce being runny, which we assumed was from pasta not fully drained. My dad ate his steak, which he said was full of gristle. We told him to send it back, he chose not to, so didn't mention it. My mother had broiled chicken, ate part of one, left a whole piece. When asked for a to go box, she told the waitress no thank you it's just not any good. I asked the waitress if the strips had been changed, yes. I told her they were not any good, should switch back, she apologized. I said not your fault. To which she responded they were more like Tyson frozen strips, any way to save a few pennies. No salt on the table, told oh sorry, we don't have enough shakers so we just move them around. Baked potatoes & fries were eaten as well as salads, no mention of being bad in review. As a matter of fact even commented on how neat the bar was. Only had one server on that side, until we stood up to leave and a girl with drinks walked by. Unsatisfied customer. We had a large group of 14. We were seated fairly quickly considering it was a Sunday afternoon. Our waitress was friendly. Drinks were served in a timely manner and correct for what we ordered, as was the food. I questioned a few employees about food ingredients because both of my boys (6 and 4) are allergic to egg and milk products. The women at the salad/buffet bar were helpful with those questions. Almost everything on the buffet bar had butter so we chose to order chopped sirloin from the kids menu for one of the boys. The other had salad from the salad bar. When the chopped sirloin plate arrived, I saw that the bread had butter on it and I was told by the lady delivery our plates (not our original waitress) that the chopped sirloin isn't all beef but that it contained fillers, which she couldn't name. Since she didn't know what kind of fillers it contained, we decided to just get fries only for him, so as to not risk an allergic reaction. At one point, while at the salad bar, an employee approached another employee to scold her for some things she apparently did incorrectly. It was awkward for me and completely inappropriate to do in front of customers. The scolded one acted embarrassed. The fries were good, just as you would expect from a bag of frozen fries cooked to order. Some in our group ordered chicken fried steak but left most of it uneaten. Two adults had steak (steak and shrimp) but they were unhappy with the steak. They said the fried shrimp was good for frozen fried shrimp. Overall, I was unhappy with the visit, considering the obviously poor employee relations that were displayed in front of us, and the food quality was much less than desirable. Also, the older woman I assume is the owner, since she was the only one in the kitchen out of uniform, was unfriendly. She didn't smile, didn't speak when approached, and didn't act like she was happy to have our business. Let me begin by saying I would never recommend this establishment to anyone after our dining experience tonight. I am also not one to write reviews or even complain when service is bad but yikes. My husband and I thought we would give Grecian a try tonight, rather than drive 30 miles, as we usually do to get a good steak. We both ordered a cut of steak from the menu along with a salad and baked potato. It was 45 minutes before either of us received our steak. This was not during a crowded time mind you. Oh, it get's much worse from there. As he is cutting up his steak, a roach, yes A ROACH runs across his side of the table. At this point both of us had lost our appetites and decided to call it a night. The waitress didn't seem surprised when we told her about our little visitor at the table. My husband asked to speak to the owner or manager and we were shrugged off for another 15 minutes. It was still not busy at all. We got up and walked out at this point. (Our bill was already paid) I will never step foot in this establishment again. Jonesboro is WELL worth the drive, trust me on this! Grecian, for God's sakes, hire an exterminator!
