For context, I used to wake up with neck pain every morning, to the point where going to bed was often painful even with the thinnest of pillows -- I often had to fall asleep on ice packs to get through the pain. I also had/have chronic migraines and was in a car accident prior to meeting Dr. Ali, so my neck and back were in rough shape. I also have been an athlete since I was 5, so I'm sure that didn't make it easy on her either! She was able to immediately diagnose some of the issues I had from built up wear and tear and start me on a program for recovery. She also made the whole process so easy with the insurance from the person who hit me. She took care of it all and I only had to worry about showing up to our appointments. I never had to worry about prices and sending forms back and forth with the insurance. Not having that additional stress with fighting insurance alone was super helpful. My quality of life has definitely improved after having Dr. Ali both as a physical therapist and a chiropractor -- it's not often we find someone capable of doing both in one appointment! She also would cater the care to my body's needs and how I was feeling. There were times where my neck was too sensitive for the typical chiropracty, but she had tools that made the process so much better -- decreasing my pain levels without adding to it. The tools she had were definitely a game changer. She would also change the procedures to fit my improvements or alter them for my needs at the time. I came in after going on a walk/hike started hurting my hips, and she was able to adjust them as well to relieve that pain too. She and I had great conversations where she would check in on me and remember things going on in my life and see how she could improve my conditions. She made me feel like I had her not only as a doctor, but also as a concerned friend. I really felt like she was doing her best to take care of me in every way. I only wish the best for her and look forward to seeing the growth of her business! If I ever have issues and need physical therapy or chiropracty again, I would definitely go to her again. Then I got a call from the receptionist saying that there was a mix up with my insurance number and that I actually have to pay a deductible of $90 per visit. And that I would be receiving a bill for the difference for the past 2 months! This has caused quite a problem for me and has substantially delayed my recovery. I'm not sure whose fault it is, it just really sucks.

I had been going to Baylor and was really unhappy with the quality of treatment, but Carolyn completely changed my views on physical therapy. She is incredibly knowledgeable, helpful, and she has helped me tremendously in my recovery. Furthermore, the clinic is a fun place to be and everyone there has a great sense of humor. The banter alone makes me look forward to my next visit. I highly recommend Physical Therapy of Plano. Oh, one more thing. I have met many other patients there over the past 9 months, and for the most part everyone seems to me to be quite satisfied with their treatment.

At its worst, I struggled with really basic things--standing without help, sitting down, kneeling. It shut down Saturday morning workouts, made playing with my nieces and nephews tough, and big events like weddings or concerts were pretty much off the table. Any physical therapist can build a rehab plan, but what really sets PMST apart is how dynamic and hands-on their approach is. Things like cupping, tissue scraping, and dry needling made a real difference for me. Frank was able to find deficiencies in movement I wasn't aware of. We worked the issues with manipulation, strength and flexability training with all the best equipment in the office. Frank appears to be a little OCD about cleanliness and I appreciate this quirk. At the end of each session we finished with a massage and the feel good machine. I was able to avoid surgery because of the work we did. Frank gave me the best advice to purchase splints to wear at night. The splints keep me from sleeping with my hands and wrists in unhealthy positions. It has changed my life by raising my sleep score by 30pts daily. My advice is, at the least, try whatever Frank tells you to do. It will benefit you immensely.

This second round of OT was necessary because I had digit widgets on the three impacted fingers and my OT did another incredible and phenomenal job of restoring the range of motion and activity in my hand. Forge Physical Therapy: They Got My Groove Back!…read more After having a hip replacement on June 15, I knew physical therapy was going to be a big part of getting back to my normal self. What I didn't expect was to actually LOVE going to physical therapy! I went to Forge Physical Therapy in Frisco 2-3 times a week for about two months, and I honestly cannot say enough wonderful things about this place. From day one, I felt like I was part of the Forge family. Dr. Spencer is absolutely fantastic. He is incredibly knowledgeable and seemed to know exactly what I needed--even when I wasn't entirely sure what I needed myself! He pushed me, encouraged me, and helped me rebuild my strength and confidence after surgery. Most importantly, he knew how to help me get my groove back! And believe me, after a hip replacement, getting your groove back is no small accomplishment! And then there is Ms. Linda--aka "The Colonel." What can I say about The Colonel? She was so incredibly sweet, caring, encouraging, and just genuinely happy to see me every time I walked in. She made every visit feel a little more like visiting friends than going to PT. In fact, I have NEVER felt so much love and genuine care in a physical therapy office. These people went from being my physical therapists to feeling like family. And somehow, I actually looked forward to seeing them 2-3 times a week--which is pretty impressive considering I was there because I had just had my hip replaced! Forge is a newer PT location, and Frisco is SO lucky to have them. If you need physical therapy, I cannot recommend this team enough. They have the knowledge, expertise, encouragement, and--most importantly--the HEART. Thank you, Dr. Spencer, Ms. Linda/The Colonel, and the entire Forge team for taking such great care of me and helping me get back to doing the things I love. I asked her if they were accepting new patients. Kastin said, "Yes." Then, I asked if she could tell me the their physical location since I had already received their address from my insurance company. But, Kastin told me that she didn't know where she was! !?!?!?!?! She told me that she would have to look it up on GOOGLE MAPS!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! Obviously, Kastin was in a call center located off property somewhere. She was horrible at telling me the exact location of their offices in Plano!!! As a result, I was on the phone with Kastin for over 20 minutes. 20 MINUTES IS THE VERY DEFINTION OF INEFFICIENCY TO SCHEDULE AN APPT! Finally, I asked her, "Can you just transfer me to someone at that location?" "No," was here one-word reply. !?!?!?!?! So, Kastin began asking me questions instead. She had begun the data entry portion of the call. She took all of my pertinent information including insurance policy, etc. Then, she told me that she needed my credit card information. !?!?!?!?! I asked Kastin why she needed my credit card when they could just file my insurance upon my first visit there. She said, "We need a credit card to hold your reservation." I explained, "You're NOT a hotel holding a reservation." She said, "Well, you can bring us a personal check in the amount of $40 BEFORE your appointment." BOGUS! SCAM! Of course, they'd like to have forty dollars of my money BEFORE I show up for my first appointment. I tried to get her to explain to me whether I could get my $40 reservation money back after my first appointment. Kastin refused to answer that question!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I asked her for the name of her manager. Trevor Soper. I asked to speak with Trevor. Kastin put me on hold b/c eternal holding patterns over twenty minutes is their specialty. AND THEN SHE DISCONNECTED THE CALL! So, I called back. This time, Sofia answered the phone. I asked Sofia for her manager. She said, "You mean the director?" (incompetence) I said, "Yeah...whatever you guys call the person in charge. Trevor came on the line. As it turns out, Trevor IS NOT an office manager or supervisor or a director!!! He's just one of the physical therapists! I tried to tell Trevor about the unusually long hold time that was approx 30 minutes. He said, "I don't care." Trevor refused to listen! There are thousands of physical therapy offices in the metroplex. If you don't want to hold your appointment time with a $40 reservation fee that may or may not be reimbursed, I suggest you call someone else. Ridiculous 20-minute call time duration, employees who don't know where they are located & have to refer to Google Maps, and ridiculous hotel reservations with your credit card info including the security code on the back of your card!!! All of that...just to schedule and hold an appointment. That's unacceptable imho. When I asked my husband Jack to come on the line so he could hear Trevor's nonsense...Trevor refusing al to listen to me...Trevor talking over me...Trevor released the call. !?!?!?!?! Apparently, Trevor was afraid to have a grown man on the line paying attention to the unprofessionalism taking place! Trevor was more than willing to treat the woman on the line as persona non grata. At any rate, Trevor wouldn't allow Jack to inquire about their $40 policy to "hold my reservation." Plus, I don't trust what CLAIR PT may do with all of my private information. Will they sell it? or run my insurance anyway? Who knows. If anything shady happens to my insurance, etc, I know exactly where to begin my search for identity theft. CLAIR PT surely wanted money for nothing as evidenced by their $40 reservation policy. MONEY FOR NOTHING AND ZERO TRANSPARENCY!
