From the first time I was here and each subsequent time (at least 4), I saw therapists consistently wiping down/ sanitizing equipment using various germ-preventative implements (disposable gloves, separate pillow cases, shoe booties). The facility smells clean and is well-maintained because of those standards. The clean environment is a HUGE PLUS! The therapy itself has also been gold. PT Amy gave me clear, concise printed directions with pictures of prescribed exercises. She is professional, patient, thorough and sweet; I trust her . Her demeanor makes me automatically more comfortable. I had PT Miles last week and found him to be attentive and good at explaining each step. Both therapists give me hope and seem sincere in helping my recovery. The receptionist is also welcoming and easy to schedule with. Highly recommend!!! read more

I dialed the office number for Clair Physical Therapy approx 5 separate times before someone actually answered the phone. A person named Kastin finally answered. I asked her if they were accepting new patients. Kastin said, "Yes." Then, I asked if she could tell me the their physical location since I had already received their address from my insurance company. But, Kastin told me that she didn't know where she was! !?!?!?!?! She told me that she would have to look it up on GOOGLE MAPS!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! Obviously, Kastin was in a call center located off property somewhere. She was horrible at telling me the exact location of their offices in Plano!!! As a result, I was on the phone with Kastin for over 20 minutes. 20 MINUTES IS THE VERY DEFINTION OF INEFFICIENCY TO SCHEDULE AN APPT! Finally, I asked her, "Can you just transfer me to someone at that location?" "No," was here one-word reply. !?!?!?!?! So, Kastin began asking me questions instead. She had begun the data entry portion of the call. She took all of my pertinent information including insurance policy, etc. Then, she told me that she needed my credit card information. !?!?!?!?! I asked Kastin why she needed my credit card when they could just file my insurance upon my first visit there. She said, "We need a credit card to hold your reservation." I explained, "You're NOT a hotel holding a reservation." She said, "Well, you can bring us a personal check in the amount of $40 BEFORE your appointment." BOGUS! SCAM! Of course, they'd like to have forty dollars of my money BEFORE I show up for my first appointment. I tried to get her to explain to me whether I could get my $40 reservation money back after my first appointment. Kastin refused to answer that question!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I asked her for the name of her manager. Trevor Soper. I asked to speak with Trevor. Kastin put me on hold b/c eternal holding patterns over twenty minutes is their specialty. AND THEN SHE DISCONNECTED THE CALL! So, I called back. This time, Sofia answered the phone. I asked Sofia for her manager. She said, "You mean the director?" (incompetence) I said, "Yeah...whatever you guys call the person in charge. Trevor came on the line. As it turns out, Trevor IS NOT an office manager or supervisor or a director!!! He's just one of the physical therapists! I tried to tell Trevor about the unusually long hold time that was approx 30 minutes. He said, "I don't care." Trevor refused to listen! There are thousands of physical therapy offices in the metroplex. If you don't want to hold your appointment time with a $40 reservation fee that may or may not be reimbursed, I suggest you call someone else. Ridiculous 20-minute call time duration, employees who don't know where they are located & have to refer to Google Maps, and ridiculous hotel reservations with your credit card info including the security code on the back of your card!!! All of that...just to schedule and hold an appointment. That's unacceptable imho. When I asked my husband Jack to come on the line so he could hear Trevor's nonsense...Trevor refusing al to listen to me...Trevor talking over me...Trevor released the call. !?!?!?!?! Apparently, Trevor was afraid to have a grown man on the line paying attention to the unprofessionalism taking place! Trevor was more than willing to treat the woman on the line as persona non grata. At any rate, Trevor wouldn't allow Jack to inquire about their $40 policy to "hold my reservation." Plus, I don't trust what CLAIR PT may do with all of my private information. Will they sell it? or run my insurance anyway? Who knows. If anything shady happens to my insurance, etc, I know exactly where to begin my search for identity theft. CLAIR PT surely wanted money for nothing as evidenced by their $40 reservation policy. MONEY FOR NOTHING AND ZERO TRANSPARENCY! Any business that wants a credit card and/or personal check as a deposit before they'll see you in their office is a joke!!! Then, when you factor in that they refused to tell me if I could get the $40 deposit back...the whole situation feel like a scam to me!!! DO NOT BOOK A "RESERVATION" WITH CLAIR PT! read more

I attended therapy at Clair Physical Therapy during the last quarter of 2025 and had an excellent experience. Amy was my primary therapist, and she was outstanding. She provided detailed verbal explanations during each session and gave me printed instructions so I could continue my exercises properly at home. I also worked with other staff members, and each person took time to explain how the exercises would help my condition. The whole team was extremely friendly, and Bob runs a great practice. I have to say I am very impressed with the Staff who has a strong dedication and commitment towards getting their patients back to normal. Bob is very attentive and an excellent therapist himself. After successful arthroscopic surgery on my knee for a crushed meniscus, Dr. Alan Barber's office suggested three places for PT. I am so glad that I chose Clair Physical Therapy in Plano. My therapist, Suzanne was FANTASTIC and worked with me until she got me back to 100%. She suggested exercises while I was out of town for a week, so I would continue my progress. Whether is was August, Jane or any of the others, they function like a skilled, precision team under the guidance of Bob Clair who was always there. First of all the only reason I rated Clair Physical Therapy a five is because I didn't have an option to rate them higher. I had total knee replacement on June 4th and two and a half months later I have full extension, I can bend my knee to 130 degrees. This being the third surgery, but first replacement on this knee, I really thought the recovery process would take a lot longer. I can not thank Bob and his staff enough. His staff from the other therapist, to the techs to the ladies at the front desk were always helpful, very knowledgeable and treated every patient in there like their own. At 60, I have come to value quality Physical Therapy (PT) a great deal. The doctorate education that is required for PT therapists to bill insurance companies comes with huge benefits (many people I know underestimate what competent PT can do for them.) After two elbow surgeries in 18, I went to a PT clinic associated with the surgeon's group. They did a great job (now pain free), but it was quite far from my house. The same surgeon operated on my rotator cuff in Nov 19. This time I asked him if he had a place closer. That is when I was introduced to Clair PT. My surgeon raved about them. He said the owner, Bob, comes to their office regularly updating doctors and checking on the feedback his team receives. That impressed me. Personal attention to quality, soliciting feedback from the the surgeons...I'm in! What a great decision! Shoulder surgery just plain _ucks. But Clair has taken my broken wing under their wing and nursed me back to health. I can't say enough about their Team. Eight years ago, following a total knee replacement (right knee), I used Clair for the physical therapy. They were especially helpful when complications from the surgery developed. Led by my therapist, Kristi, they helped me through some very difficult - and, painful - times. So, when I had my left knee replaced in November, I didn't give returning to Clair a second thought. This time I drew the head man, Bob Clair, as my therapist. Bob, and the techs that support him, including Trevor, Jay, Danielle, and August, have gotten me back to almost 100% of extension and flexion. We continue to work on these in addition to strength and balance. They are each professional, polite, and committed to treating the patient. To do this, they use state-of-the-art equipment and techniques, establishing a program customized to meet my particular needs and condition. One of these is the cold laser. Following surgery I had painful conditions in my shin, calf, toes, arch and bones in my foot. Bob recommended that we try the cold laser on some of these areas and I found that after two or three applications, the painful conditions had improved immensely. Even though the cost of the cold laser is not covered by my insurance, the use of this is well worth the low out-of-pocket cost. If I have need of physical therapy in the future, I would not hesitate to use Clair Physical Therapy. To anyone considering physical therapy, I strongly urge you to commit yourself to following the developed program, no matter the difficulty or discomfort involved. read more

I had a shoulder repaired and two knees replaced and I would not ever choose another Physical Therapy office except Clair Physical therapy. They are fantastic about giving you great exercises to help you heal quickly. They always answered their phone to make appointments and worked all your visits in to your convenience. The Therapists are friendly and very kind. They always asked how I was doing and did not push me to pain as I have heard other clinics have with friends. They aways encouraged me and never shamed me. My Shoulder repair has healed perfectly and my knees are coming along. Couldn't ask for a better place to rehab after surgery. Bob Clair was my Therapist and he gets 5 stars as well! I can honestly say I may be a little biased by the fact that I couldn't move my arm much at all before I started going to Clair and seeing my therapist, Mark, but I actually am getting the range of movement back now. Please note that you may not get complete one on one treatment because the therapist do have patient appointments that overlap. However, you are not put on a course of treatment and then left to your own devices. Ultimately, several different therapists may wind up participating in your treatment. The positive thing about this physical therapy location is that they have later evening hours and are open on Saturdays. This is a big plus for those of us who have to work while we have to go through therapy! Just another positive note, they will try to work you in if you are in pain or in the area. read more

I can't say enough about this therapy center. After breaking my knee cap and having surgery to wire it back together I was of course in need of much physical therapy. I was sent to a center elsewhere where I went for 27 visits with no improvement My surgeon stopped my therapy and I had to have surgery again to remove scar tissue and manipulation. I had realized at that point that the therapy I was getting wasn't even close to what I should have been receiving. After the second surgery I was sent to Clair Therapy Center. Life has a way of handing you things you did not want or expect. In my case it was a broken elbow. After surgery and weeks in a sling, my arm would not fully bend or straighten. The experts at Clair restored the use of my left arm, no small thing in life. Clinic hours include evenings and weekends! So yes, Busy Person, you do have time for physical therapy. All of the staff and therapists are friendly and welcoming, which eased my anxiety about trying something new. Weekdays, I got to work with Bob, and on Saturdays I saw Mark and Ashley. Alas, therapy was not painless -- however, Ashley, Bob, and Mark all had a knack for keeping me laughing through the discomfort. They even helpfully printed an illustrated list of exercises to do at home. I am so grateful to my surgeon for referring me to the Clair clinic for my post-op therapy. Injury plus surgery is a hard enough road; having these skilled professionals to help with recovery is nothing short of a blessing. Tip: As with all healthcare practices, it's wise to print and complete the new patient forms in advance. Otherwise your first visit will include a ton of paperwork on a clipboard awkwardly balanced on your lap. They could use a chairdesk or two. Good care, clean facility and friendly staff. Got treated for my tennis elbow and while this condition takes a long time to heal, the experts at Clair therapy definitely got me off the ground in 5 sessions. For my final (5th) session however, Bob informed me that I did not have a co-pay or will not be charged as he was attending to another patient and due to Covid rules could not do the manual massage on my hand. We discussed about me returning for another set of sessions after I got my primary care physician's consent. It was odd that after couple of weeks of me not returning I started receiving payment overdue notices for $35 co-pay that was supposed to be waived. There is probably a genuine disconnect somewhere, and the nominal copay does not make or break anything, but couldn't help feeling a little short changed. read more

I am so glad this site is here because Claire deserves a review here. If I had ten pages I probably couldn't say it all! I have been here four times in the past and this is my fifth now (knee). I have worked with Mark all the times I have been there. He is wonderful: Kind compassionate knowledgable and professional and helpful. But he is not the only one, all the therapists there and the assistants as well are all professional. I do think that a large ingredient to the success of this clinic is Bob Claire the owner. It is no small feat to recruit, engage satisfy and retain quality professionals in your business. The positive attitude, the genuine camaraderie and interdependence starts with Bob. He's interactive approachable and involved. One of the indicators I look for in the health of a business is employee retention. Bob has successfully done that in my opinion. I'm sure it helps that I love physical therapy. I love learning about muscles, physiology and exercise. I love getting and keeping my body in good shape. Again I'm probably not your typical patient here I don't know. But one of the things I like is they teach me what to do and then let me accomplish the tasks without standing over me. I have certainly improved well after 11 visits and since starting with an old hip injury. My initial visit/consultation with Bob Clair was thorough and handled with professionalism, good explanations, realistic expectations, and compassion. I will say that I familiarized myself with my insurance process BEFORE coming in, so I started with good billing questions and got good answers from Bob on that first visit. I see some reviews that say billing wasn't explained, and I'm not sure exactly what happened, but I think it is sometimes difficult but always necessary to establish that information before starting with any type of therapy. I found the staff to be very friendly and helpful, often making sure I was doing my exercises/stretches correctly. I did find that it was quicker to work with several of the friendly helpful assistants instead of JUST Bob or the assigned PT, which was not a problem for me because I did not have a major or traumatic injury. I appreciate Bob sending me out from what I hope to be my last appointment with exercises and forms that I can work on as I go. My injury was strengthened and I feel confident in continuing to get better with the new knowledge and practice at home. On a final note, I believe that the individual is the best judge of their own health and the best facilitator of their own trajectory. That being said, I was (as usual) somewhat interactive with the staff, knowing that I need to follow through in my daily life. read more

This is honestly the worst physical therapy I have ever received. I went for a terrible case of plantar fasciitis and after 4 visits I felt no different. I felt like my therapist was more into paperwork then her patients. Sold me insoles I did not need as my doctor told me plantar fasciitis is not an arch problem it's the cause of tight muscles in the calf, they should have known that. Not once did they ever massage or try to loosen my calf muscles. Come to find out my claims had not been paid I called my insurance and they said they were not in my network and they Clair verified my benefits, not good on their part. I left and went to Baylor Hospital Rehab and after 1 visit he worked on my calves by hand for a solid hour, it was painful but necessary and I know that I'm on the road to recovery. My family and I have used Clair Physical Therapy a multiple number of times. They did the best anyone could do when my husband was being rehabilitated after brain surgery. I went a few times for back problems but couldn't keep up with taking my husband and doing my thing, too. Last year I had arthroscopic knee surgery on my knees, one in June and another in December. They worked with me, and I was very pleased with the result. I am signing up tomorrow for some PT after injuring my back. I believe I will be in good hands once again. read more

I went to another center in Allen. Didn't enjoy it. Here, results in 2 visits. Nice staff, clean, professional and knowledgeable.

At first my therapy was useful, but after a few sessions the therapist working with me began working with three or four other patients leaving my therapy to an assistant, who often times had no idea what I was to do; in fact I knew more about the exercises than the assistant. This place feels like nothing more than a glorified gym. Also, my therapist bent my hip in an angle prohibited by my doctor which made my hip pop when I walked; it took days before my hip stopped popping iI have had a complete hip replacement and Clair did me more harm than good. I now have a clinic who employes knowledgeable and skilled therapists, and I have received better results in two weeks than I did in over eight weeks with Clair. read more
