The stage set depicts a brick building facade with two arched windows and a staircase leading to a balcony. The set includes a red curtain and a blue curtain backdrop, with stage lighting and seating visible in the foreground. The scene is part of a theatrical production at Greater Boston Stage Company.

So glad a friend of mine recommended this place playing a take on Hitchcock's "The 39 steps". What a crew and energetic show. The place is squeaky clean and theatre is so beautiful. Located in the center of Stoneham parking is ample around the theatre. Concessions are not available however you can get dinner before in a few restaurants surrounding the theatre. The show runs for around 2 hrs and 5 mins with a 15 mins break at the hour mark. Primarily focused on the main character which stays constant with 3 other actors playing multiple characters throughout the play. The stage is beautiful and the music is a nod to the bygone era with a mix of even the classic spaghetti westerns. They do check your vaccination cards for you to go in which is great knowing all the people are safe. Will definitely keep an eye out for their other productions.

I figured that Stoneham's gotta be far away. It sounded familiar enough (Stoneham Zoo) that I knew it was in Massachusetts, however, I couldn't place it on an unlabeled map if my life depended on it. Someone told me, however, that they had recently enjoyed both the "Million Dollar Quartet" and a play about two wonderful older actresses at a bowling alley. So when I noticed an email in my inbox mentioning the show "Last Night at Bowl-Mor Lanes" playing at the Greater Boston Stage Company, I decided to look up the theater on Google Maps, and was surprised to find that it was under 20 minutes north of Boston (depending on traffic and starting point of course). The drive over from the city at night on a weekend was pretty easy. Local street parking is marked 2 hour parking. I parked anyways since the show had a 90 min run-time. But as I chatted with a fellow patron while waiting in line to pick up my pre-purchased ticket, he mentioned that he never had trouble parking on the local streets over 2 hours at night. So that made me feel better. I felt even better when the person behind the window told me that the 2 hour limit was not in affect on weekends and evenings after perhaps 6pm. The lobby of the Greater Boston Stage Company was rather intimate and nicely decorated for the show. Concessions had some drinks with fun names specifically alluding to the show as well. The stage was well decorated for the show, and I enjoyed the performance tremendously!

I do theatre at the greater Boston stage company and the staff is amazing, the programs are extremely fun for my youngens. The shows are so well put together. I kiss the old Stoneham Theatre title though.

Nice little theater. Unfortunately I will not be returning. I am not comfortable with thier gender neutral bathrooms.

Best show I've seen in a long time! You won't be able to stay in your seat by end, believe me. It's a must see!

I went to see She Loves Me last night and it was wonderful! The staging, the acting and the singing, were all first-rate.

"Alter Boyz": This does not belong in the regular season. Should be a summer show. A cross between "Nunsense" and "Forever Plaid."

Even though I've only been twice, both shows were fantastic! They guy playing George Bailey nearly channeled Jimmy Stewart.

Sometimes music teachers seem to follow a prescribed order of exercises or warmups out of a book, but Ruth gives careful thought to the exercises that will benefit each singer, whether they need to work on relaxing the jaw, connecting head and chest voice, or creating long, fluid lines (if you're a new to voice, she'll break it down in a way that's not too technical or intimidating). She gives input on song selection, but also lets students work on the songs that interest them. When I ran into issues, she wouldn't hold back but gives critiques in a constructive way. When my voice was working well, she gave very specific (rather than generic or vague) feedback so I could duplicate it and know exactly *why* it's working. We talked about the mechanics of how you sing, as well as the nuances of phrasing, style, and expression. The online system she uses for scheduling lessons and keeping track of payment ensures that you don't waste lesson time sorting out those details. Her enthusiasm and professionalism are top-notch and she genuinely cares about her students' musical and personal development. Overall, I would highly recommend her to beginning or advanced singers!

Some students have joined the studio to prepare for auditions or roles; others want to tackle stage fright issues; some take weekly lessons just for the pure joy of singing. This is a review for their donation process, not for the organization itself…read more Scheduling a pickup is very easy and convenient. It can be done online or over the phone. I entered how many bags or boxes of items I had, where they would be placed (in back of the house in my case), and special instructions on my address since I live on one of those streets that has duplicate house numbers (like 100, 100A, 100R). The special instructions box claims it allows 100 characters but in reality it was more like 50. Well I followed the directions exactly and had my items out and clearly labelled well before 8am on the day of the pickup. Well I get home and everything is still there, but there was a receipt in my mailbox. Huh? Well I called the number on the receipt and it's just a recorded message. Every selection on the phone tree just leads you back to scheduling another pickup. What I believed happened is the driver didn't bother to read the donation form to see my items were in back of the house or possibly didn't want to take a 40 foot walk from the street to the backyard. There's not even a fence. If the drivers are not going to pick up anything that isn't located directly on the curb (and at huge risk of theft), do not give us the option of placing donations anywhere else. I will probably go back to just driving my stuff to a donation center. It's easier.

I'm a professional organizer who takes donations away for my clients. I've tried a bunch of…read moredonation companies and thrift shops, and the VVA has been the easiest to use by far. I just schedule a pickup online, and I can sometimes get one as soon as the next day (I can even schedule on Sunday for a Monday pickup), but always within a week. I put the stuff out on my front porch the night before, and at some point that day, it vanishes. They will even accept toys, which many charities do not. Also, I have had bad experiences with Big Brother Big Sister and the Epilepsy Foundation sometimes not coming when they said they will. The VVA has *always* come on schedule. I might have a different experience if I had to be home when they arrived, but so far, it's been nothing but awesome. Oh, and when I do encounter a driver, he is always polite and professional.
