I LOVE this place!!! I am a working mom who is very lucky to have my mother watching my 18mo old…read moredaughter. I am always looking for things they can do together. Darcy and my mother go to high chair art every Tuesday. I don't know which one of them gets more out of it. Darcy is learning and developing her fine motor and listening skills. My mom is learning about new artists and bonding with her granddaughter. Its great! Every Tuesday night my mom, husband and I have an auction and bid on who gets to keep Darcy's amazing art form that week. Last weekend the studio had a little workshop. My husband and I got to check it out and see what happens when we are at work. It was so wonderful to see Darcy light up when we arrived. And next month they are hosting a silhouette artist. This is a keepsake I always dreamed of having if i ever had a child. What a wonderful jewel in the community. We are so lucky to have this. I highly recommend kidcasso if you have a little one in your life. The arts are so important. How wonderful to have something affordable and accessible in our community!

I bring my 4 year old and 2 year old during school closures to their Art Sense class. It is…read moreperfect, because they both can be there together. They both really enjoy the class and my 4 year old always ask when we can go to the next art class. The class is 45 minutes long, but I would say the first 10-15 minutes is free play where they set up a few art inspired stations for the kids to explore, approximately 20 minutes of more structured art class, then 10 minutes for clean up and story time. The -1 comes from two things... 1 - It can be costly to do drop in classes for both kids. It is $35/kid, though they do give a 20% sibling discount, so it is $63/2 kids, plus the $2 service from the site vs. $100/month/kid which would be equivalent to approximately $25/class. It is a way more affordable to enroll monthly but they do not offer Art Sense classes over the weekend so it is not really supportive of kids that attend school during the week. It would be nice if they had an option to buy X amount of classes upfront at the $25/rate that could be used amongst multiple children. We've tried other art classes in neighboring towns and I would say Kidcasso is probably at the higher price point. 2 - This only happened once but there was one class where the teacher did not show the end product upfront for the kids. I am not sure if this was intentional to allow creative freedom but for one of my kids that appreciates a bit more structure to build confidence, I could tell she was more cautious and waiting to see what other kids were doing or asking me for some guidance. The other times when she knew what the end goal was she was more confident creating her artwork and leverage her creative freedom to still create something that was hers. For my other child, she did not care because she doesn't follow rules/directions anyways. It didn't impact the experience for my children, but it was something that was noticeable for one of my children in how they approached that specific art class.

We recently hosted the Artful Bachelorette at our home for my sister's bachelorette party, and it…read morewas a tremendous hit! We were all intrigued by the concept, but admittedly, a little apprehensive about what to expect. From the moment the team arrived, they completely exceeded all of our hopes and expectations. The experience was so much fun, unique, and engaging, and the entire team was absolutely phenomenal. It truly made the entire event and gave us a memorable experience that we'll all be talking about for a long time. I cannot recommend the Artful Bachelorette highly enough! If you're looking for something fun, different, and unforgettable for a bachelorette celebration, this is it!

This was so much more fun than I anticipated!…read more Sabrina (hostess/art teacher/lovely woman) led us through a fun filled 2 hours of my first ever nude sketching session! She was upbeat, informative, respectful to both the sketchers (us) and the models. Made sure there were no photography during class unless it's through them to make the models comfortable. (takes guts to be nude in front of a bunch of people drinking and looking at you!) She brought out the artistic sides of everyone in the room, guided us through different sketching exercises (1-3-5 minute sketch sessions) so we're busy drawing instead of JUDGING what we were drawing. such helpful tips! I think we were all VERY impressed with our own artworks! I really thought I'd be drawing a little more than stick figures before coming here. I had a blast and this would make any gathering unique, fun and explorative! I had an amazing time!

This is a review for their donation process, not for the organization itself…read more Scheduling a pickup is very easy and convenient. It can be done online or over the phone. I entered how many bags or boxes of items I had, where they would be placed (in back of the house in my case), and special instructions on my address since I live on one of those streets that has duplicate house numbers (like 100, 100A, 100R). The special instructions box claims it allows 100 characters but in reality it was more like 50. Well I followed the directions exactly and had my items out and clearly labelled well before 8am on the day of the pickup. Well I get home and everything is still there, but there was a receipt in my mailbox. Huh? Well I called the number on the receipt and it's just a recorded message. Every selection on the phone tree just leads you back to scheduling another pickup. What I believed happened is the driver didn't bother to read the donation form to see my items were in back of the house or possibly didn't want to take a 40 foot walk from the street to the backyard. There's not even a fence. If the drivers are not going to pick up anything that isn't located directly on the curb (and at huge risk of theft), do not give us the option of placing donations anywhere else. I will probably go back to just driving my stuff to a donation center. It's easier.

I'm a professional organizer who takes donations away for my clients. I've tried a bunch of…read moredonation companies and thrift shops, and the VVA has been the easiest to use by far. I just schedule a pickup online, and I can sometimes get one as soon as the next day (I can even schedule on Sunday for a Monday pickup), but always within a week. I put the stuff out on my front porch the night before, and at some point that day, it vanishes. They will even accept toys, which many charities do not. Also, I have had bad experiences with Big Brother Big Sister and the Epilepsy Foundation sometimes not coming when they said they will. The VVA has *always* come on schedule. I might have a different experience if I had to be home when they arrived, but so far, it's been nothing but awesome. Oh, and when I do encounter a driver, he is always polite and professional.
