Just moved to the era and trying things out. This by far is one of the worst Chinese restaurants I've ordered food from! My order consisted of chicken, fried rice, bourbon chicken, and crab Rangoon. I literally took one bite of everything and then proceeded to throw it away. Everything tasted like overused grease and there was plenty of it. if there was food underneath the grease, you couldn't taste it, but the greasy residue it leaves in your mouth does not go away. This is my favorite Chinese place. The food is delicious and the staff are friendly as well. The only thing I dislike and have trouble with is ordering over the phone. I try my best to try to understand what the lady is saying as I am half Asian also but it can be frustrating at times. We sometimes end up with the wrong food too. Pretty standard Indiana Chinese buffet like other reviews said. decent amount of selections to choose from. probably the first time I've spent $10 on a Chinese buffet but what isn't expensive nowadays. I always like to go to buffets early when the food is fresh. There was a rag on the counter by the pop machine and the machine was squirting all over when they would fill a glass. The workers all would wipe their hands on it after getting sprayed on. One lady who worked there noticed that there was over spray on the floor and she wiped the floor with the same rag and placed it on the counter again. She wipes off her hands on the same rag and went to grabbing spoons to stir the food at the buffet. The man who serves the drinks was sprayed on as he was filling cups so he goes and wipes his hands on the filthy rag and serves the drinks. I told him that the rag was used on the floor. He goes and tells the lady and she comes out with a mop to wipe the floor but leaves the rag on the counter. I give them the benefit of doubt in not understanding English but where's the common sense in a restaurant not to wipe a floor with a rag and then use it for wiping hands. read more

I decided to stop here after reading the last review by Stephanie. This place is much improved. The dining area has been remodeled and it looks so much better. The buffet had a nice selection and the food is so much better than the last time I was here. If you haven't been here in a while, give it another chance as I feel you will like it. read more

This is low end Asian food. And that is what they charge for. So, you get what you pay for. It is the customer service that is the deal breaker. If you call an hour before they close (literally 59 minutes before they close) they will not complete your order. This style of food is the fastest next to pizza. Anyway, I have also called for delivery and there is no driver that day. And the last fun thing: I called their number, heard the number answered 3 times. I was really hungry and cold and wanted Hot and Sour soup so I stopped in at lunch. The buffet is large but things were not labeled so I was intimidated to try some things that did look good. They did have sushi BUT it was definitely old. There was some sort of weird liquid sitting below the rolls and the avocado was browning. I did grab one piece to feel the rice and it was ice cold which tells me it was made yesterday and placed in a fridge. (I didn't eat it.) The hot and sour was good but it wasn't as "sour" as I'd like. The crab Rangoons were also good. Everything else was meh. The potstickers were cold in the center and the rice was dry and chalky. I was excited to try the peanut chicken but it tasted like they sprinkled sugar on top of it. It was weird. The restaurant did seem clean which is a plus. I may order the soup again for takeout but I'm not sure I'd want to eat the buffet again. read more

This place gives chinese buffets a bad name, ive been to some great chinese buffets and this is by far the worst. It was more like a bunch of assortments of chicken slop. The food was barely warm, The deserts were stale and old. After I was grossed out by the food, me and my son thought we would look to try some ice cream, bad idea! cuz the freezer lid was broken and it has shrink wrap over the top, not to mention moldy. Needless to say we did not eat ice cream, then I had to use the bathroom cuz I got a stomach ache and the bathrooms are so gross i did not even want to sit down, not to mention they had no toilet paper!! Never again. We were there at dinner time (around 6). I should have turned around and walked out once I realized the entire place was empty. Not one other diner was there when we got there. Against my better judgment (and to pacify my pregnant belly), we stayed and tried it anyway. Big mistake. Their "salad bar" consists of jello, iceberg lettuce, and banana peppers. Many of the hot foods were dried out looking and almost gone. Most chinese buffets have chow mei fun and cheesy spinach. This place does not have either of those things. The crab rangoons were not great and there were only a few of them in the dish. The whole experience was questionable and then I noticed the flies that added a lovely ambiance, along with the same song being played on repeat. I'm not kidding, it was really the same song on repeat. My husband was far too generous on the tip considering all the girl did was take our dirty plates, but he's a little nicer than I am, I suppose. Another thing worth noting is that cosmetically, the place is in terrible condition and needs a face-lift and a good deep cleaning because it was kinda disgusting. All things considered, I left angry, and I felt ripped off. And I will never be back. Also, I am going to report them to the health department. read more

Went here for dinner last evening and knowing that in the past I end up on the toilet within an hour and low and behold many trips to the bathroom... The food was decent but why every time I go to this place ( about once a year because I'm in a hurry) this happens... :-( at 6 PM there should be more than 3 tables of customers eating supper. Seems that I'm not the only one having problems with their food preparation. I honestly can't believe they are still in business. I recommend Wok and Roll here in Laporte, that has never happened there.. FYI my girlfriend had the same results.
