The food here was great, surprisingly much better than all these other reviews are saying. The cooks were seriously working hard to get the food out as efficiently as possible, so that was impressive to see, but the servers were not anything to be impressed by. The servers would talk and ramble and take their sweet time to make our orders. I'm assuming the manager was the one with the black shirt, (her name was Angelina), she was the one goofing around the most! She had her back turned at the serving line while a line of customers were standing there waiting. I have visited Panda Express locations all across the country and this one is without a doubt the worst. The place is absolutely disgusting! The floors and tables were covered in food and spills, the bathroom was horrendous. The food area was a mess, most of the options were completely out or looked like they had been sitting for hours. On top of that when I walked in all 3 employees looked at me and then continued their conversation. I should have walked out, but I waited. What a huge disappointment. I have to tell you that I've traveled all over this country and I've eaten at numerous Panda Express locations. This was the absolute worst experience I've ever had at a Panda. The people working here are not happy. Not a single employee seemed engaged or interested in what they were getting paid for. All of the employees...I mean all of them, seemed like they were stuck in low gear and were just clock watching until their scheduled lunch or end of shift time arrived. The restaurant was filthy. The trash cans were full and overflowing. The tables and floor didn't look like they had been cleaned all day long, there wasn't a single napkin in the 'single' dispenser. This is a top notch fast food chain right? It appeared as though someone had started some sort of construction project inside and just abandoned the job and walked off. There were tools strewn about and sharp and unsafe materials within the publics immediate area. This doesn't seem right to me. I got a disingenuous "Hello. Welcome to Panda" as I walked through the front door. At least wait until you're standing in front of me before barking out your forced greeting. Nothing worse than being greeted by someone ass-up and picking something off the floor. The rice and chow mien noodles were dry and stale. But what brings me here today, is that, I would like to praise an individual worker who really makes our day. I have tried to eat here 3 times since Covid all 3 times were a complete disappointment. Staff is very unfriendly and could care less that your there. The food is always low or just completely out and no one making anything till it's down to nothing. Last experience I had there was a line of 7 people in front of me. One person taking orders 2 guys in the back that were not helping with the customer load. Woman at the register that was more interested in her phone than helping the other person serve. They were almost completely out of orange chicken and teriyaki chicken and she didn't call for more to be made till she was out of teriyaki chicken. Some of the crabbiest and most careless employees I have experienced. After arriving at 8:00, the employees informed me that they close in 15 minutes and will not cook any more food, although they were out of nearly half of their entire menu. Once I informed them that it was only 8:00 (they close at 8:30), they told me, "well that's basically 15 minutes". After the employee spitefully agreed to cook more of 1/3 items I wanted, 4 other customers were served with the item I had requested to be cooked before I was called to the line. For a company that says they are trying to build, "an organization where people are inspired to live better lives", they are certainly flopping if this is the way employees are acting. Waited for 40 minutes to get our to-go order because they didn't have any food made. Then when we ate it, it was evident that it was not cooked completely and was missing it's sauce in the honey walnut shrimp and the seasoning and soy sauce on the lo mein noodles. Sadly, after coming here for several years, we won't be coming back. Go to New Buffalo, Michigan instead and eat at Song Asian Cuisine. This is the WORST Panda Express experience ever. The cashier TORIE. She's definitely has an attitude problem. We ordered 3 plates combo and ask for cups of water. And she gave us 1 cup to share for 4 of us. We gotta go back and forth to get water refill. We ordered crab Rangoon and told us the wait is about 2 minutes. After 2 minutes and she didn't give us it. Instead she took a break eating and forgot our crab Rangoon. We go to the counter and ask for it. The guy gave us it and no apology was given. TERRIBLE !! District manager has to fix this problem. Look. If you're going to Panda Express, your expectations should be incredibly minimal. The ultimate test is whether the food tastes like plastic. Really, just ask for a sample taste as they typically allow. And if it tastes like plastic, then move on. The staff seemed fairly disorganized, and it was a bit confusing on where to line up as customers started to form up around the food. While their pricing is attractive, you should know that the food's been out for a bit, not rotated or anything along the the lines of practice in which places like Chipotle would follow. So beware. Open food, warm, incubating who knows what. The chicken and beef, in their many forms taste all right. Their chow mein noodles are a bit thin than what I'm used to, but it's passable. Barely. Wontons? Oily, incredibly hard, won't be edible if you don't eat them up right away. And that in itself is a hard task to accomplish. During my time at Panda Express, when I first came in inside the restaurant. They had a line of customers (more than 15 people) waiting for their order and that's because they were short staffed. It's not fair that the employees had to work when they are short staffed. I overheard that some of them are working on her day off. They also don't have enough people to cook the food either. In result my mom's food was very very terrible. The dining area was a mess there were no tables that were cleaned (seriously Panda Express we are in the middle of pandemic) because of it we couldn't sit down and eat our meal. While we were looking for at least a descent place to sit. They had to temporary closed the restaurant due to short staffed. There were customers who were coming inside the door to eat at Panda Express and they were turned away due to short staffed. When we were eating in the parking lot in the Lowe's there were people who were coming into the parking lot thinking they were going to eat at Panda Express. I am calling out Panda Express to give higher minimum wage and incentive so they can employ more employee to better serve their customers. I'm very disappointed in the Panda Express company. Ordered a plate of honney walnut shrimp and orange chicken with white rice. Thinking it was all there I drove all the way home and came to find out it was just white rice inside the box. Called them and let them know the issue at hand and they said come back and we'll remake it for you. Note that I live around 20 min away and between gas and time this is a ridiculous gesture of re payment. I asked fur a full refund on the phone and when I got there she offered me the same proposition to avoid a full refund. A message to Public relations at corporate: Remake the meal, offer a full refund, and give a gift card for atleast 10$. A returning customer is very valuable! read more
