A few buddies and myself stopped in here on a Sunday afternoon before we start watching football. I got two beef tacos and came with hashbrowns a soda and some kind of steak rice burrito on the side. All really tasty and I enjoyed it. My friends also enjoyed their.

The BEST Taco joint on the planet!

Fiddlehead is a fine American restaurant with a wide selection of drinks…read more The inside is welcoming and charming with a plant theme and a faux tin ceiling. While the dining is certainly respectable, the presentation is more casual, and you will be comfortable in any attire. The servers are on point and upbeat. I enjoyed the bourbon-glazed pork chop, and it was spectacular. The bourbon flavor really popped with an also sweet marinade. The potatoes and green beans rounded out the meal and kept my fitness goals on track. We hope to be back next year!

The food was delicious across the board, and the biggest surprise was the German pretzel. We were not expecting it to be that huge, and it ended up being one of the highlights. Prices are definitely on the higher side, but for a once-in-a-while dinner, it felt justified. The quality really matched what we paid for. We tried the filet, lobster ravioli, Caesar salad, German pretzel, stuffed mushrooms, and the Diablo pasta, and everything was well-prepared and full of flavor. Overall, it was a great experience from start to finish, and we'd absolutely come back.

After taking the advice from my dad to try this place out, I understand why the parking lot was so…read morebusy! We were warmly welcomed when we walked through the door and promptly seated in a booth by a window. Juan (I think that was our name) was our server and he quickly brought over waters and asked us for our beverage preference. I ordered coffee, hoping it was going to be better than the previous restaurants that occupied the building- and it was very good! I saw the house frittata on the menu and it instantly sounded good, so I ordered that and my BF ordered the country lady, or something to that extent, and a short stack of pancakes. Our food came out no more than 10 minutes after we ordered, if that. It was fresh and the portions were enormous! Both of our meals tasted as good as they looked and were a great value for the price and amount of food that was served. Throughout our meal, Juan kept us not needing or wanting for anything. Sugar Bowl has a great staff, wonderful food, and a great future! I will definitely be back whenever I visit!

Opted for rye toast (in lieu of pancakes) and a side of cottage cheese. Water to drink. Was asked if i wanted butter on the toast. After asking if they use butter or margarine, it was confirmed they use margarine. So toast was ordered dry and I would be required apply butter by opening the small "whipped butter" packets inborder to enjoy some buttered rye toast . The Omellette was ok taste-wise...but the entire time eating it my mind is questioning if I'm consuming eggs cooked in margarine? Then I'm thinking of the experiment where I placed an unwrapped stick of margarine on a dish in my garage for 2 weeks and observed that not an insect, rodent or any other living creature disturbed the lab born condiment...completely untouched orbdisturbed.. and thus I haven't poisoned my body with that garabage ever since...until possibly now??? Place was dirty with soot on the window sill at my booth. Bill comes and is over $20...highest price I've paid for that meal anywhere, which i order from various establishments a few times a week (including the 5 egg omellete establishments). Then I'm asked "cash or card?" Then informed that DEBIT card is another upcharge of $1.40, or so. The "how was everything" converstaion deserved a comment from me about the ridiculous price I'm paying for some eggs. The off-putting, I assume, owner steps in, then starts trying to justify the upcharges that resulted in a $26 omelette (by the time i threw in a $5.00 tip). This guy continued trying to convince me that he has the lowest prices and best quality...blah blah blah...trying do hard convince me his price chiseling way of doing business is justifiablr. Oh, well, could it be that I feel my arteries are clogging with margarine as i write this? Oh well..won't visiting this place again.

We ordered the Elote Pizza, and overall it was really good. It had a nice wood-fired crust that was probably the highlight of the meal. The only downside was that it came with a garlic aioli that was very heavy...there was so much on the pizza that it overpowered some of the other flavors. I think it would have been even better with a lighter hand. For drinks, I had one of their sour beers and my husband ordered an IPA. Both were good, but neither really stood out as anything particularly memorable. We sat at the bar, and the bartender was friendly and took good care of us. The layout of the brewery was a little unexpected. We walked into the main entrance, then the host brought us back outside and over to a separate building where the bar is located. It was a little confusing at first, but it ended up being a neat setup. The restaurant was clean, with a spacious dining room and a nice-looking patio. The only thing that kept this from being a higher rating was the value. It felt a little expensive for what we ordered, and while everything was solid, nothing really wowed us. Overall, I'm glad we stopped in, especially as a place to escape the heat for a while. If you're in the area and looking for a casual meal and a local beer, it's worth checking out...I just wouldn't necessarily go out of my way to visit again.

Spoke to the manager who was very unapologetic and didn't seem to care about treating your customers well. Pretty much said that's their policy even if you happen to come just 5 mins before close. Food was average, their "award winning" lamb burger was not medium rare as stated on the menu. The only saving grace was our waitress who was very attentive and empathetic. Will not venture here again nor will recommend anyone to go here.

We stayed at this inn for our anniversary weekend and came all the way from Indianapolis…read more We ultimately enjoyed our stay and had a great anniversary, but encountered some functional problems during our stay. We stayed in the Jo's Sunset room. We were warned that the jacuzzi buttons would be sticky, and they were. It was very hard to get them to turn on at all, almost next to impossible, and it would've been nice to have this be an easier experience. The sink in the bathroom didn't seem to want to drain at all. My fiancé went downstairs to talk to someone about it (I believe his name was Shaq) and he was very friendly but informed us it was something that couldn't be fixed during our stay. Luckily my fiancé is a plumber and he was able to clean out the drain himself. He says that after he cleaned it out it was still draining slow but was better than not draining at all. We also asked Shaq about how to turn on the main ceiling light and fan in our room because we couldn't figure it out the first night. He told us that it actually didn't work at all in our room. The first night was really warm so it was unfortunate to not have the fan working. Shaq was able to find us a plug in fan for our second night which we really appreciated! When we checked out Sunday morning we were asked if we were checking in for the breakfast that was provided with our stay. I was so disappointed to find out as we were leaving that breakfast was actually included. When I had made the reservations online, everywhere on the website and on my receipt said that breakfast stops being included after Labor Day so we just went off of that, and weren't informed on breakfast information when we checked in the first day... However we did go to a breakfast place called Memo's both mornings but it would've been nice to know that breakfast wouldn't had been an extra expense on our trip. The first night we had our anniversary dinner inside the inn and it was amazing. The service, food, drinks, and experience were so worth it. The three minute walk to the beach was also a very great addition to our time spent there. We also didn't realize folding chairs were provided to take to the beach. We found these under the bed as we were making sure we had all of our belongings for check out. When we had walked to the beach both days we kept mentioning how we would've liked to have had chairs to sit on so that was a little disappointing to find out after the fact as well. We really did enjoy the stay and these issues were minor but eventually added up. If these were fixed it would be an absolutely amazing stay.
