Love Five Guys, but they really need to clean the embedded dirt on their tables and chairs.

It took 3 tries, but I was finally able to order here. The first time I came it was one person in front of me and after 10 minutes, their order still was not processed. I went to Chipotle next door. The same happened the second time I came here two weeks later. I went to Chipotle next door. The third time another two weeks later, I was first! I really don't understand the bad reviews at this place has gotten. This place has everything I expect from a Five Guys restaurant: the burgers are tasty, the service is fast, and they have everything on the menu that I expect to see when I come into one of these restaurants. The fries were super crispy, but they were good enough. And, the drink mixer machine had all selections available. This location is also very bright, and everybody I talk to here was friendly. We went for lunch with a large group (including kids). They were incredibly accommodating and patient while taking our order. Food came out quickly and everyone was happy with their meal. No complaints here! I was particularly impressed with staff who didn't give the usual "hate this job" kind of attitude. Will be back next time i'm in town. read more

What happened to this place!?! Seemed like they had a good staff when they first opened... they would clean the grill between every few sets of burgers, the fries were always cooked great, and the service was excellent. Now it seems like they don't ever clean the grill. I pick crap out of my teeth from the burgers, the french fries aren't blanched, it seems like they're trying to cook them all in one go, so they are limp and greasy and gross. This place is too expensive to not cook everything properly. It was decent when they first opened. After several bad visits though, it's hard to give it another chance. read more

Went here during the lunch rush on a weekend and came away with a damn good burger and a hearty milkshake in a timely fashion.

Great service! Food was done quickly, and our order was accurately prepared. Restaurant was very clean. Can't wait to go back! Service is fast and friendly. Food is tasty, fresh, and you get large portions. I highly recommend the peanut butter milkshake. Our non-profit held a fundraiser at this location. We received 20% of our proceeds as well as $1 for every milkshake. What I liked about this restaurant was they held the fundraiser all day as opposed to other places that do it for 4 hrs. We made more because more people had a chance to participate. By far the best place to do giveback nights. Will be doing it again soon! read more

I love five guys and found they have opened a store in Michigan City! I'm rating it a 3 because it is not very clean. Everywhere you walk the floors are slippery(greasy) and the tables are dirty. I see no reason for this due to the fact that we came at 3:00 in the afternoon. read more

This place of buisness is a joke, and gon a be gone sooner than later. First of all I was gired by there G.M and within a week of starting after online courses the G.M resigned and found outit was due to him losing, a $10,000 deposit so he had a choiceto be fired or resign. This location was left with 4 shift leaders all under 25 years of age. Lets just say every shift was a nightmare and not one rule was followed by leaders which affected the whole staff. I spoke out to CJ, and Chelsea the managers of seven stores and ultimately lost my job, due to being to honest and open and no one wanted to work with me due to my critizising of leaders and staff that failed the rules daily. This place of buisness will relocate sooner than later or just drop this location due to lack of responsibility. read more

I went in expecting the usual Five Guys burgers they're so famous for. Instead, I received a burnt cheeseburger. After I politely explained to them it was burnt, they reluctantly offered to make another, which I agreed to. Yet again, the "remake" was burnt. Definitely not a good experience. 5 Lame Guys. Not that there's anything wrong with being lame, I just don't want to have to pay for it. First visit to 5 Guys - I really wanted to like it. Had to convince family to try something different. Thanks for the stale, soggy peanuts while we waited for a long time. Slow, slow, slow service. Ordered everything specifically, ingredient-by-ingredient due to food sensitivity issues: everything came as an unidentifiable mess with, of course, things we didn't order and couldn't have. Glad I had to wait so long for the wrong food. Ate it anyway. Ate outside - which was necessary to escape the loud bad music. Of course, there are no garbage cans outside so we had to go back in to throw away the excess bags from what was not "to go". Don't they have trays? NO! Screw the trees - we're making them into bags for soaking up the grease. Burgers were mediocre at best; hot dog was lame. I guess we're not in Chicago, Toto. Maybe 5 Guys somewhere else is worthy of the "cult" following, but we won't be joining. thanks. you're going to need to find five other suckers. read more

This was a horrible trip, it's a shame they are the only location here, the manager needs to be seriously retrained, his customer service was awful and showed his lack of experience and lack of customer service skills! I only wanted to point out to him how dirty the lobby was especially the area I wanted to sit and enjoy my burger in. Needless to say I won't be back as long as the manager Aramis is there. Keep trying, as I like the place, the crew, and the peanuts. However, 4 of the last 5 times they have gotten the order wrong. Always take-out, there is a certain reluctance to unwrap the burger to see if they have gotten it right. So far, they are running 80% wrong. Come 'guys', do better. read more
