Great Wall - Chinese Near Me - Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

I haven't gotten food here in 10 years. I was hoping it was good or better than they used to be. Hubs got shrimp lo mein. Plenty of shrimp, they were overcooked, but he didn't care because he was hungry. I ordered wonton soup w/ extra bag of noodles, combo General Tso chicken and a bag of crab rangoon. There was zero spice in my chicken. I asked for spicy. The fried rice was so undercooked. It was crunchy, not in a good way. The noodles with the soup were so stale and they didn't give me a 2nd bag that I'd ordered and paid for. The crab rangoon wrappers were so stale and the filling was lacking. I threw away the egg roll after one bite. Wrapper was stale and filling was not good. I will try to find another place. I don't want to eat there again. read more

Best take out ever!! Lo-key, no fuss, budget friendly yumminess! The 'qMenu' is so easy to use to order and you can leave special requests on each thing you order. I also appreciate the fact that you can re-order and/or view previous orders. I placed my order and it was hot and ready within minutes. No wait and delicious! read more

Let me start out by saying we really were surprised by our order and experience on 12/8/23. We've eaten at Great Wall before and been very happy- quality, quantity, taste, etc- that's why we've gone back a number of times. The last time (before this) we went was early fall. So when we were looking for something quick, hot and tasty, we called ahead and placed our order for beef & brocoli, and fried rice.... but when we got it home, the rice wasn't fried (more like yellow-ish colored white rice with a couple of peas and carrots, and the beef wasn't.... beef(?)-- it was grey and slimy and just terrible....... we remarked about being surprised at the quality, but decided to "sit on it," figuring that if we still felt the same way the next day, we'd go back and tell them about the experience. , The earliest I had a chance to go back was 12/10 to give them feedback and a chance to make it right-- wasn't asking for a refund, but thought perhaps they'd make a gesture. Instead- nothing. Their response was that we should have called that night, but 2 days later, nothing could be done. End of story. So between food quality and lack of customer service we (sadly) won't be going back. There are plenty of other Chinese restaurants around that we will give an opportunity to earn our repeat business read more

Large portions but tasteless food. Have ordered a few times but the last few times has been bland.

Uh wow. So I have driven by this place dozens of times- but recently heard from a friend how delicious it is. So tonight we ordered for delivery- it is a ton of food! We have so much leftover for tomorrow! Everything was so hot and fresh and the flavor was so good. On the spicy entrees you can choose your heat level- my fiancé likes things spicy- Me not so much. From time of order to deliver was almost exactly 30 min (just under actually) which I thought was a very reasonable period of time- the estimate it gave me online was about an hour. We will definitely be ordering from here again! The sesame chicken was so good and flavorful- it was down near the bottom of the menu. The crab Rangoons were so creamy and delicious and the fried wontons were so good! And they came with a lot per one order! My fiancé had the Kung Pao chicken and wanted it really spicy- didn't get a picture of that but he devoured it read more

I have never had an egg roll that was nasty.. Until I ate here. The fried rice was bland and so was everything else. Broccoli wasn't steamed long enough so it's hard to chew. I'm very disappointed... read more

Consistently good food, fast weather you pick up or have it delivered, Always have large portions. Will return for sure.

So far, every darn thing I've ordered has been good. I just don't like broccoli, never have, so they were obliging enough to replace it with other veggies. Each time I've been here the same three folks are, the women who garbles English, the guy who remains in the back, and the guy I give my order to and shuffle money with, and nobody speaks, you know, hello, goodbye, thanks, or anything. Oh, well, the food and service are the bottom line. read more

A neighborhood family Chinese restaurant located next to Caesars Pizza on the NE corner of Rockwell Ave and NW 122d St. It's located in a small strip mall with plenty of parking. Staff is family and very prompt. There are 4 tables inside, but I've never seen anyone actually dine in. Majority of the customers typically do the take out plan. You can call in your order or do it in person. They have an extensive menu so it would be hard pressed not to find something you would consider ordering. Based on the variety of dishes I've ordered, the food is bland which is why I gave this restaurant only 3 stars. Better than greasy I assume. A simple sprinkle of hot sauce made it better for me. My favorite dishes are Shrimp Lo Mein, Fried Rice, Orange Chicken, General Tso Chicken, and anyone of the tofu dishes. read more

They are super fast with orders. Love them for when I'm in a pinch about dinner. Can't go wrong with any of their items!

Delivery during covid and very very accommodating over the phone during ordering. I'm grateful they are open right now so please use them to order Chinese delivery if you live near them! read more

Delicious and wonderful experience! We stopped here to to take out during the quarantine and it was such a wonderful kind and professional experience! The food was WONDERFUL and the service was quick. I would highly recommend this place to anyone :) definitely check it out! read more

Large cheap portions but poor quality. About exactly what you'd expect from a to-go Chinese place called Great Wall

This place gets 5 stars because I have never had a bad order from them and the food is consistently the best Chinese around. I always get the sweet and sour chicken which is nice and crispy and not greasy like other places. I also get the chicken fried rice and egg drop soup and they taste great as well. This is my go-to Chinese place for sure! P.S. ordering online is a lot easier than over the phone read more

Ordered the combination fried rice and brought it home for takeout. Had to pick out the chicken out of the rice because I've never ate chicken that tasted like this in my 40 years of life on earth. Had a Strange texture, too soft (couldn't feel the fibers) with no taste at all. Not sure if it was undercooked or just really really poor grade chicken. Picked it out so hopefully won't get sick. Not going back there again ever. read more

Great Wall - Combination fried rice with strange chicken. - Chinese Near Me - Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

This new Chinese food beat China house on Hefner. The food is much better and service come with smile. Not what you want and is price is .

First of all, Great food. I grew up with this kind of food. As my parents were owners of the same type of Chinese restaurant. Sadly, I grew up never learning it from my parents when they ran the restaurant. There can be 100 Chinese restaurants, but everyone has a distinctive flavor. Really depended on who the current chef learned it from. And this place was perfect since I lived nearby. read more

Went in for the first time and was hesitant at first because there was only 3 tables in the whole place. But I ordered two lunch specials. Beef and broccoli and sesame chicken. They were both good! They both also came with fried rice and either an egg roll or soup. Both pretty quality. We also got some crab rangoons and they were awesome! And it was all $15! Can't best beat that! Will definitely be back! read more

This was my first time eating here they have really good food and fast service. I ordered on the qMenu app and my order was ready in 15 minutes. So many great options as well with lunch specials too. I will definitely be back! read more

Love their take-out!!!! So much food, so fresh! We lean towards egg rolls, hot & sour soup, and the cashew chicken. I have yet to try something different that I did not like. Some portions can also be made 'smaller' so look closely at their menu. Whoever takes your order will help you out. They really do a great job It's a family run store, so kids are ringing in orders and then going back to the table to work on homework. Kudos on a family working together -- Keep up the great job! See you soon! read more

I can't say enough bad things about this food. We ordered online and it took over 60 minutes. The order was incorrect and several aspects of the order had been left off or substituted with different foods. The fried rice tasted of old oil and you could taste the flavor bad oil. The eggrolls were without flavor and were soggy. There were eight of us in each of us thought the food was, at best "mediocre".In the past I've would've said that all Chinese restaurants for the same but this one was far below average. read more

So I'm very picky when it comes to ordering Chinese food. Tried this place the other day & it was so good. I ordered a few different things from their menu just in case I didn't like one of them. They were both so good. The staff is very friendly. Service is very quick. I'll most definitely be going back to this place for now on. read more

Gooooood Chicken. You know it's going to be good when the receipt is in a different language.

I have to agree with everyone else. This place serves pretty solid fare. I'm happy with what I get. The staff is friendly, even though it's mostly a carry-out type of establishment. read more

Really has gone down hill over the last few years. I found a staple in my food (presumably from them stapling he receipt to the takeout bag). And the quality of the food has just gone down. It used to be our go to place for Chinese take out. We are now searching for a new place. read more

For, basically, a carry out only joint, the good is outstanding and the price is a lot lower than you'd expect.

Without a doubt 100% WORST CHINESE IVE EVER HAD. Went here last night because I couldn't stop thinking about how I wanted some good General Tso Chicken for dinner. We ordered General Tso Chicken with white rice, Hot & Spicy Chicken with fried rice and a Hot & Sour Soup. The General Tso was extremely soggy and greasy, super bland, no flavor at all and deff no spice, same with the Hot & Spicy Chicken.... not spicy at all and flavorless. The fried rice was basically white rice but yellow, zero veggies, zero flavor. I honestly think it may have been made previously and just microwaved before we picked it up. It took us 8 mins to get there after we ordered and it was all boxed and bagged up and ready to go. I was super disappointed because I'm pregnant and I had been craving good Chinese all day. My boyfriend didn't eat more than 3 bites of the Hot & Spicy Chicken he ordered it was THAT BAD. The soup was the only thing that was even edible really. I felt bad throwing all that food in the trash, what a waste of $30 but was truly that repulsive. Should've known something was up when all the lights on the sign out front were out. I should've listened to the other reviews on this place but it was closer to the house so we decided to give it a try. I'm really not that picky when it comes to Chinese food, it's pretty hard to make bad fried rice but YIKES. read more

If I could give a 0 I would. My husband ordered me rice noodles with his regular and just asked that they steam them or put them in a separate wok, since I have celiac. Normally I would never order from Chinese take-out but we had a busy day and ran out of options. The boy on the phone was very nice, but when he asked his "manager" if they could cook it in a separate wok he just heard yelling in the background. My husband said never mind and hung up and Ofcourse no call back. He has been a customer of this place for 5 years until today. I'm sorry I have a allergy, but you can just say no rather than screaming in the background at him. They definitely lost our business and many friends we know in the area read more

Great food, great service. They have the typical food you would expect, and everything I've tried so far is above average.

Delivery time was good. Food was awful. We've had ordered from them a handful of times over the past couple years and it seems to be getting worse. The "chicken" in the chicken fried rice was white globs of mushy undercooked imitation chicken of some kind. We didn't even know what it was. Same story in the chicken lo Mein. The sesame chicken and beef and broccoli where just okay, at least that was edible. We'll find a different restaurant for Chinese in the future. read more

Ordered delivery. Was told it would be half an hour. Called back an hour later. Was told that they recorded address wrong (had my phone number but didnt call to clarify) but would make my order again and have it to me in half an hour. Called an hour later and was told the driver didn't want to come to my address. 2.5 hours later, no food, most places are now closed. Dinner ruined. read more
