Local Sushi Spot of mention for sure at Panda Garden!…read moreThe sushi is fresh and well proportioned for the price- definitely recommend in food quality. Ordered their special Sparkle Roll, Spicy Scallop Sushi, White Tuna Sushi and an Egg Roll. Favorite bite was the spicy scallop. We ordered for take out, as the inside is not much of ambiance. So on food for taste, quality, pricing and portion absolutely 4 stars. Where this 3 star rating arrives from was the surprise on our bill. A tip was automatically included on receipt. I did not manually place a tip on my order, rather this was discovered at check out. Never ever have a problem in being a generous tipper, however this should be left to the customer at discretion. The blatant insertion of tip was alarming. For that respect of service, need to downgrade my rating. Which is unfortunate, because this food is solid sushi takeaway!!

They're only open for delivery or takeout right now (this is effective as of 10/22), so bear that in mind. BUT! We put in our order and we're driving away with it about 15 minutes later. Their menu is super extensive, with a huge array of Chinese, Japanese, and Thai selections (it took us forever to decide because everything sounded so good). We got (and, like I said, we were hungry): Wonton soup Egg rolls Miso soup Seaweed salad Shrimp tempura ALL of it was fantastic. Standouts were the egg rolls, which were fried to perfection, and not in the least bit greasy. Beautifully seasoned (we were sad we only got two). The seaweed salad, too, was wonderful with the addition of toasted panko (not complicated, but terrific). UPDATED to say that we enjoyed Sakura so much, we ordered delivery a few nights later. We shared summer rolls and a sushi sampler, both of which were absolutely delicious. If you're in (or around) Pottstown, definitely put this place on your "don't miss" list!
