The worst for customer service we had been going there religiously every Friday at dinner time a few weeks ago we got a 60.00 dollar order they would not refund us at all nor would they redo our order we had never complained about nothing in past cause it was good . They would not refund but then came to an agreement for 2 meals pepperoni steak everything in it was a white color chicken Szechuan was under cooked shrimp fried rice was cold crab rations was the only thing that was decent they said they make us our refund this Sunday and they was wanting us to pay for they're mess up they finally agreed for non payment which I had to pay for they're mess extra order of crab rations in which we were supposed to be compensated for 2 the lady there is VERY CONFRONTATIONAL VERY RUDE AND HATEFUL NEVER AGAIN WILL WE ORDER SHIT FROM HERE read more

Decent takeout. Kinda pricey though. General Tso's chicken is pretty good . Bourbon chicken was sweet, but bland . The sweet and sour chicken was so over the top large it was hard to eat, would not recommend that dish. read more

Visiting from California and chose this place because it was close by. The food was good! We called ahead so our food was ready by the time we got there. The cashier was super friendly and made me feel welcome. If I'm ever back in town I wouldn't mind trying out more dishes. read more

We ordered the crab rangoons, fried dumplings, chicken kung pao and the Mongolian beef. The crab rangoons were the only things edible. The chicken tasted like mold and the sauce was nauseating. The beef tasted like it had gone bad and the sauce was the same as the kung pao and nauseating. The dumplings were not what I would have expected and were some unrecognizable slimy meat in a round dumpling. We paid $50 to eat crab rangoons and throw out the entirety of our meal. When we kindly asked for a refund, we were confronted by the lady behind the counter and asked rudely "where did you come from" in a very racist tone. Please avoid this place like the plague. First time here. This is a small, local family business located at a nondescript strip mall that we almost missed when we drove by. The first impression when you walk in is this is just fast food Chinese. It has no ambience and they spend no money on decorating the place. But don't be put off by first impressions. What they do have is absolutely delicious made-to-order food! There are pictures of the dishes above the counter where you order, plus you can also look at a menu. No fountain drinks, just cans of soda or tea, as well as bottled or tap water. Most of their business is take out and a lot of people were picking up orders while we waited for ours. Kitchen is right behind the counter so you can see and hear your food cooking, sort of like an open kitchen. We decided to eat there. A few tables were scattered about and there's actually a comfortable vibe about the place, sort of like eating at your own place but with way better food. Our food was brought to us by one of the owners served in a foil takeout container. Rice was on a paper plate and utensils are plastic. No chopsticks. Sauces are those plastic packets you get with takeout. Remember, their primary business is takeout. We had Happy Family and Seafood Delight. Veggies were mostly fresh. Chicken, shrimp and meats were all cooked perfectly and the sauces had balanced flavor. Nothing was too salty or too sweet. And the serving size was huge, enough for some leftovers. It was probably the best Chinese food we've had to date. Brookville is so lucky to have Great Wall. We're in the area only for a couple days driving thru but I plan to order some takeout to bring with us before we leave. This is seriously good Chinese food. read more

Ok first, I think I'm going to become a regular here. Everything was amazing. It was light, filling and so full of veggies, my body will thank me for that! The curry was on point. My husband kept "mmm-mm-mmm" ing (as if that's a verb) the whole meal. He loved the triple crown with garlic sauce. Again, none of the flavors were overpowering which is appreciated!! Second, I saw how hard this couple was working behind the scenes. A lot of love goes into this restaurant. After I paid, she brought me a container of cake. So sweet. And the cake was amazing too!!! I love to support small businesses and we are truly blessed to have them here in Little Brookville. 100% suggest them! read more

Very tasty Chinese food. The staff is extremely friendly, and usually throw in a complimentary drink or two when we place a large order. The take out portion sizes are super big, usually enough to get two if not three meals out of. My only issue with this restaurant is the cleanliness inside, it's usually pretty dirty, I'm sure they don't get a very good report from the health department. read more

Great walk-up strip-mall Chinese place. Eat in or carry-out. No buffet. Seems to be popular. Just a minute or two from Interstate 70, Exit 21 in Brookville, OH. Cheap plastic utensils, self-serve napkins, food was served in an aluminum carry-out tray. It was pretty good, and the fried rice was very good. Fresh vegetables, including fresh (not canned) mushrooms. I'll have to give an "okay" on the chicken, as it was just a teensy bit rubbery. Drinks limited to bottles and cans, no self-serve fountain. Ambience wasn't great, but typical. Cleaner than I expected. Men's room was much cleaner than expected. I almost gave them 4-stars for the clean men's room, but there were smudges on the walls up front. I wouldn't take anyone there to impress them, but I'd have no qualms about going back. Carry-out would be great too. So if you're tooling down I-70 near exit 21 in Ohio (Brookville, just West of Dayton), and have a hankerin' for Chinese, this will do nicely. read more

We lived on Brookville for many years and had tried Great Wall when they opened, and didn't care for it. We gave it a chance again after about ten years and was pleasantly surprised! We had sweet and sour chicken, chicken chow mein, chicken fried rice, and crab rangoons. Everything was great. It was better than the Chinese restaurants in Englewood and Eaton. We will definitely be back and sorry we waited so long. read more

I want to give this place a great review as much as I want it to be a great restaurant, since it's the only Chinese food option around and the owners are very friendly. Unfortunately, I can't and it isn't. I have a family of 3 and we get take-out/delivery food a few times a week when schedules are crazy. Fast food isn't our thing; we like a good balance of meat and fresh veg. In Brookville, that limits our choices to Chinese and Subway. One can only eat so much Subway :/ so you can understand how we end up at Great Wall even though we don't love it. The safest menu choices are chicken fried rice, any soup, and crab rangoon. We usually order things like chicken and broccoli, chicken and mixed vegetables, and Mongolian chicken. Results vary from visit to visit. A month ago, I ordered Mongolian Chicken and loved it. I just ordered it again and was so disappointed, it prompted me to finally write this review. I can't put my finger on the actual differences, but every time, one of us loves our food and the other is jealous of them. I can say that in the aforementioned chicken dishes, the chicken pieces have this slimy coating that I can only guess is a cornstarch mixture to help sauce adhere to them, that creates a horrible mouth feel. I can't attest to any dish where the meat is breaded and fried, as we don't order those; they might be fantastic. P.S. Sorry nice people who run Great Wall :( I didn't want to write this. read more

I've gone to this place for YEARS! I used to work at the pharmacy across the street while I was in college and would order frequently after work and now I am living in the area and pick up food often. Love their lo mein, chicken teriyaki, pretty much anything I've ever gotten there in the over 13 years I've gone there is good. The only thing I don't like are the crab Rangoon and that's a personal preference because they have the Rangoon that tastes sweet more than crab, but my mom loves them so like I said that's a personal preference. It is family run; husband, wife and oldest son, the younger son usually hangs out playing video games. If you're in the area and want Chinese you will not be disappointed! read more

I've gone to The Great Wall for years, probably since I was about 5 years old. It's the only Chinese restaurant that I'll ever eat at. The food is excellent, from the Chicken Teriyaki, to the Lo Mein. They have the best Egg Drop soup in the area, and they have these almond cookies that are absolutely amazing! The menu is fair priced, but it's worth it for the food you're getting. The actual interior could use some work, but isn't that what good Chinese places are, dirty, hole in the wall establishments where the food is outstanding? I would say so. The owners are always very friendly, and work hard to serve you the best Chinese food around here. The owners are a husband and wife and their oldest son, the youngest of the two sons usually spends his time watching TV in the back of the kitchen. The aroma in that place should, and will make you hungrier then when you came in. I would (and will) give The Great Wall 5 out of 5 stars, because they earned it...their food is to die for, the service is outstanding, and the overall experience leaves me feeling satisfied every time.
