But in cases where negligence or incompetence can be dangerous, I take the time. I hired Andrew to add a new junction box to hang a chandelier in our kitchen. At the time I thought everything worked out great--he came out promptly and did the install while we waited for our fixture to arrive. However, when we prepared to hang the fixture ourselves, I realized he installed an "old work" style box that can't support more than 6lbs and isn't designed for ceiling fixtures. Most people (including me!) would never have known the difference except that I had to switch out another light a few weeks prior and did some research into what equipment I needed. I would expect a licensed electrician to know this, but in good faith I assumed it was a mistake. After a week of texts and phone calls, he finally responded and offered to put in the correct junction box. Then he never showed up for our appointment and quit replying to my messages. That was more than a month ago, so I assume he has no intention of returning. Unless you have the electrical expertise to supervise Andrew's work, I would strongly suggest you hire someone else with more competence and/or integrity. Or be prepared for fixtures to potentially come crashing down on you and your family.

Don't let the lack of reviews deter you -- Sullivan's Premium Electric deserves to be at the top of…read moreyour list. Justin, the owner, is a bright, talented electrician who actually led the installation of my whole-home generator a few years back (another five-star experience). Now, as a small business owner, he's leading a stellar team that truly delivers. On this visit, Justin quickly assessed the "as-built" layout of my kitchen GFCI outlets and discovered that the builder had installed a 15-amp outlet on a 20-amp breaker -- a clear code violation that had gone unnoticed since 2017. He replaced the outlets, explained the power draw patterns for high-demand appliances (air fryers, griddles, hot plates, etc.), and even mapped out how each kitchen outlet corresponded to the main power panel. He patiently labeled everything to make it "idiot-proof," leaving me fully informed and confident about my kitchen's electrical setup -- and armed with practical ways to avoid future overload issues. Bottom line: I've now found my go-to electrician for all future projects. Don't sleep on Justin and his crew at Sullivan's Premium Electric -- stop searching, hire them, and then come back here to drop a well-earned thumbs-up!

To my absolute shock, he replied within 10 minutes of my inquiry! What impressed me most was how quickly he was able to get us scheduled - he actually managed to squeeze us in the next day when many electricians were completely booked. When he arrived, Justin didn't just jump into fixing things - he took the time to clearly explain what was happening with our breaker system and why it had failed. His knowledge was evident in how efficiently he diagnosed and resolved the issue. The work was done professionally, thoroughly, and he made sure everything was working perfectly before he left. In a stressful situation like a winter storm power issue, Justin's professionalism, responsiveness, and expertise made all the difference. If you need an electrician in the area, especially for emergency situations, call Justin first. You won't be disappointed!

Pleasant Valley Plumbing sent Cole and Andy over to work on a fairly small, but quite difficult job…read more- taking apart a corroded shower mixing valve. They arrived early (which was great) and proceeded to work. Cole fought the problem for quite a while, all the time taking great pains to protect the surroundings from any damage, until he was finally successful at getting the valve to let go. A slightly damaged escutcheon plate was replaced at no charge, and the repair was completed perfectly - all at a price that was most reasonable. I can't say enough good things, and will definitely use PVP again when needed.

***AVOID THIS COMPANY - THEY HAVE AN AVERAGE RATING ON GOOGLE FOR A REASON!***…read more This company and their service tech Cole are dishonest and caused extensive damage to our home from what should have been a simple toilet installation. We purchased raised toilets from Lowes, and they contracted the installation with Pleasant Valley Plumbing (PVP). During installation, Cole informed us that we needed a "new" supply line for one of the two toilets we purchased and charged us $40 on the spot. The seal within the supply line ended up cracking, and by day two we had water leaking from our ceiling below the toilet. What's more, we found out from viewing pricing at Lowes, and two other independent contractors that supply lines cost no more than $7-10. Even a supply line for a washer/dryer is only $30. I don't know why only one supply line needed to be replaced, but that turned out to be a blessing because we could have suffered two leaking toilets. When he came back to service the toilet, he told us that the crack in the supply line was a "manufacturer defect". When Lowes reached out to PVP/Cole to find out what happened, he lied and told them that he "couldn't confirm if the leak/water damage was there before he installed the toilet". If the leak was due to no error of your own, you have insurance to cover these types of things...there should be no issue. He lied to cover the fact that it is more likely than not that the supply line he used was not new. Further, we also have hard wood flooring damage due to the leak causing our floors to warp. We are now going through the claims process with Lowes and reaching out to contractors to fix the damages that PVP caused due to their incompetence. All of this headache for simply trying to make our home more handicap accessible. DO NOT RECOMMEND!
