Other special events throughout the year. Need a place to walk? Yes, the have a cenentee railway that you can walk around the park and push a stroller MS walk has their walk every year. So many. We didn't stay here super long as I started getting anxious about the long drive back home. It's a public park. Free parking. There was a playground. A decent sized lake. Walking/running path. I stopped here mainly because the Comanche National Museum and Cultural Center is just a few hundred yards away. Go touch grass! Your brain and heart will thank you.

It had gotten rundown after all wood only last so long. They voted to refurbished the park and this is what they ended up with. This is nice as well almost as nice lake Helen Park. I love all of the seating, has canopies over it for people to sit and they've got all kinds of equipment. The kids can play on climb on and explore. Young kids to old people are hanging out here. It's for everyone. There's just so much nice wide open room that you don't feel crowded here there's trash cans by everything where you could throw your trash away after you're done snacking or drinking or whatever you happen to be doing at the time but the nice thing about the Kidzone is it so wide open you can see everything now I cannot wait until summer to see how the little miniature splash pad is. They also have the tennis courts and a basketball goal for you to play basketball.

I've seen many beautiful beaches from Florida to Puerto Rico but this hike and midway views are the best, this particular hike is the first left turn inside the park (if I can find the actually name I will edit it in) it has a distinctive orange barn roof and fencing that you can't really miss, we did try and go to info where a sweet young girl pointed out this trail and way to many other things for us to follow along with so we went with this trail and have stuck to it, it can take 15 to 3 hours of hiking and exploring delinks on the type of hiker you are lol are you there for the exercise and views or the fresh air and appreciation you know!

It has a nice playground, plenty of swings, a climbing dome, and some musical instruments to play. There is a large gazebo that would be perfect for having a picnic! Right beside the park there are some water activities, but we haven't checked those out yet so I can't comment on those. The only thing I'm not impressed with are the bathrooms...very simple, not very clean, and I don't recall seeing any soap, although I could have missed it. The park also…read morehosts a couple of free concerts throughout the year as well as the Friendship Festival in the fall. A couple of well maintained Girls Softball fields with large seating area. A large sports area with covered Basketball Court. The majority of the Walk & Bike Path runs through this park. A large Community Center located on the south edge of the park. Couple nicely shade gazebos. Scenic bridge used by many for special photo sessions. Large pond with ducks, fish, and turtles. The local Skateboard Park is located to the west of this park, next to The Burkburnett Boys & Girls Club. I myself often use the Bike Path in the evening with a long ride. A very nice path to use for biking, walking, or jogging.

It's held every Easter Eve and Palm Sunday as I know of! Admission is free, donations are excepted , the pageant begins shortly after sunset ( roughly 8:30 pm) and lasts about three hours ,arrive early enough to park unload and walk to seating area ,bring blankets lawn chairs for comfortable sitting on the ground on audience hill, dress for Oklahomas unique weather changes! It got chilly fast! Display vehicles permits for assessable parking so that you may be directed to designated area If needed. The pageant tells the story of the birth, life, crucifixion,death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Men, woman and children play the parts in period costumes as reading cast use their voices in each scene to narrate the story! In the intro it was said that this play is the only Easter play in the world that last 3 hours :) and that Hollywood is making a documentary about how this community gets together and shares the story of Jesus Christ :) It's a must see and if you miss it still come and look around at the church and everything the have :) they also have a gift shop :)

Thts the actual name. the site features…read morestructures like Pilate's Judgment Hall, Herod's Court, the Garden of Gethsemane, and a chapel modeled after Christ Church in Alexandria, Virginia. The perform a passion play called the prince of peace which first ran during Easter 1926. Make sure you wear good solid shoes as there are many rocky areas. The site also has a memorial for the Oklahoma City bombing victims, a Veterans Walkway, and an 11-foot marble Christ statue. This past April they performed the 100th annual play.

There's just so many things to say that are wonderful about this gem. We were told at the visitor…read morecenter that it is the second largest visited refuge in North America. The bison are truly breathtaking. If you get the chance to see them sit and watch for a while. We were able to do some hiking and picnic. There's also camping and fishing and boating, but we didn't do any of that on this trip. We picked up lots of pamphlets at the visitor center, so we can come back again and try again. They have lots of help at the visitor center and are glad to answer questions. They also have a great little gift shop if you want to pick up a treasure or a Momento for your visit. We took the time to take the scenic drive up to the top of Mount Scott walked around, took lots of photos. We met people from all over the world up there. It was pretty amazing. I can't wait to go back and do some more hiking. We did stop on the side of the road to look at the Longhorn cattle. There are some of the original stock from back on the turn-of-the-century or release from the bloodline it's pretty neat all these things that you can do while you're here visiting I highly recommend it. It's a great adventure not just for families but just solo if you wanna get out and explore.
