So pretty. Great place e to relax and look around. They even have a playground. Lots of wildlife and it's easy to host events or activities.

This park is located right off the highway with easy access in and out at a couple locations. I always like parks. I love trees in a park though, and this one is a tad barren. It's more like a prairie park. Lots of wide open land. Nice paved paths for walking or running. Nice big lake for fishing and feeding ducks. The huge playground is a nice feature. I am in awe, and jealous, of it that I never had something like that as a kid. Oh, the adventures that could have been had on it! They hold a couple festivals here during the year. The organizers have it down pat. Very enjoyable and well organized to attend. I love the International Festival with all the different food and music!! :-) The Museum of the Great Plains is located next to the park, definitely a must see to experience the history of this part of Oklahoma!

Love coming to this park for a great run, the lake is also really nice, great sunsets. Park is clean and usually has more traffic in the evenings. Looking forward to the upcoming festivals at the park.

Elmer Thomas Park was one of the first places I remember when I drove into Lawton. Unfortunately, it is probably one of the nicer locations around (j/k). This is a three acre park w/ a nice, paved 1.5 mile biking/running track. This park has a big stage and hosts numerous events throughout the year. The Lawton Parks and Recreation Department refers to Elmer Thomas as, "Lawton's Prairie Oasis". It is beautiful park w/ a big lake and Prairie Dogs EVERYWHERE. Be careful walking thru the grass - you can easily break a leg stepping into one of the many Prairie Dog tunnels. There is a brand new outdoor playground, a Veterans Memorial Park, various military equipment on display and some type of softball field. Quite a bit of stuff going on for a park. I really enjoy running in this park and feel completely safe.

It had gotten rundown after all wood only last so long. They voted to refurbished the park and this is what they ended up with. This is nice as well almost as nice lake Helen Park. I love all of the seating, has canopies over it for people to sit and they've got all kinds of equipment. The kids can play on climb on and explore. Young kids to old people are hanging out here. It's for everyone. There's just so much nice wide open room that you don't feel crowded here there's trash cans by everything where you could throw your trash away after you're done snacking or drinking or whatever you happen to be doing at the time but the nice thing about the Kidzone is it so wide open you can see everything now I cannot wait until summer to see how the little miniature splash pad is. They also have the tennis courts and a basketball goal for you to play basketball.

This is our favorite park in Lawton. Not for the park itself, which looks nice and wide open, has…read morea few covered areas, and public restrooms. We've never made it to that section, because we can not get beyond the most amazing play structure I've ever seen. Made of wood, multi leveled, filled with twists and turns and shoots and ladders, there is no better place to bring a child than to an area where the can let their imaginations run free. One corner looks like a pirate's ship. Another area has musical elements built into the wood. The back corner is set up like a western town. There are swings and slides, and benches for the adults. Trees provide shade in a few spots, and the entire playground is within a walled area, keeping kids safe from the nearby parking lot. There is only one small problem with this park. It is tucked away on a street that gets little traffic, and so is not seen by people driving nearby. Because of this sad fact, it is underutilized. There simply aren't enough children to fill the play structure. It isn't easy to captain a ship by oneself, one needs a crew! Castle raids need armies! Covert missions need teams. I tell everyone I know about this wonderful park. My child is just a bit too old to truly immerse himself in this amazing land of make believe, but the right group of kids would bring this place to life! Greer park is on 38th Street, between Cache and Gore. It is almost, not quite, across the street from Jimmy's Egg. If I had younger children, I would spend all of my weekends at this playground, listening to them create the world around them.

You can tell this place can't afford to shut business down for any upgrades or even intense cleaning or it'll be shut down completely. CONS: - Poor cleanliness, there dust and debris building up in all the areas of the foam playground. - Battle Pit has some old, stinky foam cubes. - Majority of the equipment definitely needs to be cleaned and maintained better. - STAFF, are barely legal kids themselves trying to look over kids maybe close in their own age. (It's Lawton, so I'm sure their child-care or basic child awareness are poor). - The adult, probably the only one truly an adult, runs back and forth to the kitchen, front desk, and overwatch of the area as if SHE's they only one who knows the regulations, policy, kitchen attendances requirements, and management rules. Bc again, the staff are just barely adults themselves or barely teens. - FOOD, was poorly made, definitely just boxed frozen food and put in the microwave. NO DESIGNATED chef or kitchen staff. - Price for the attractions were ridiculous!!! Ultimate and Deluxe, such BS!!! I get height and age restrictions for taller equipment, but WHY NOT HAVE a toddler or smaller kid zone designated areas?? You clearly have the open space right by the tables. - I get being watched and controlling the traffic, but there's a reason that policies and regulations were made so it's enforced. YOU as staff have liability of watching younger, smaller kids let alone any of the kids so why have SECURITY OR FUN-SUCKING RENTI-COPS telling kids to Stop jumping in the same trampoline when that's highly unavoidable and unlikely. - Their party package! Doesn't even come with pizza!!! How the in the world is that a party package!! - No child changing station in the men's restroom. - THERES SO MUCH MORE!! PROS: - The staff will leave you alone once you get on their nerve and it'll be a show. Plus, theirs too many damn kids running around for them to care for it all. I can go so much more for CONS of Thai place, but it'll just be sounding more of an insult by then. Don't waste your money here, go to Chuck E. Cheese. More for your buck. I'm sure it's not all the owners or staffs fault, but you're running the establishments. Do something about it.
