With the new ownership of this campground, they appear to be going above and beyond to be sure their campground is updated. We chose this campground in 2015 and are so pleased that we did. The host is easy to work with but assures that all the campers are treated well and the owner continues to improve the campground. We love having the entire Chain O'Lakes at our disposal. The golf course is just down the road, so when we have guests they an golf also. Several of their docks are new and improved. Also, having the Tiki Bar so close offers food and a fun place to hang out if you just need something different. It was absolutely the right choice for us.

Who needs a pool when you're basically across the boat launch parking lot from Eagle Lake? The staff was beyond friendly and the self service model for wood and ice with Venmo and cash options was great. It was a smaller campground but had everything you truly needed, plus the option of renting one of their two pontoons. As much as is possible with a boat, it came with white glove service. They put it in the water for you and when you were done at the end of the day you gave them a call and they came and loaded it back up. Matt was awesome and gave some recommendations for spots to stop while out on the water. It couldn't have been an easier way to explore the Eagle River chain. We would definitely stay again and play try out their small cabin options at some point.

We completely understand the no-refund policy if the site were to remain vacant, but that is not what happened. They re-rented our site to another family and still refused to refund us a single penny. In other words, they collected over $300 from us AND another $300 from the next family for the exact same site and dates. This is nothing short of dishonest and greedy. I could have accepted losing my money if the spot went unused, but profiting twice off the same campsite is unethical and unfair. I will NEVER visit this campground again and will warn everyone I know to avoid it.

They had us at wrong site so had to move camper after all set up. Their electricity is super touchy! I've lost count how many times power was tripped in the camper, biggest issue is all the food we have in fridge. I heard it is under new owners in past year or two, and they are working to fix electrical issues. However, headaches from their electric issues, disorganization, and rude employees are not a recipe for a great place.

I spent at least two hours cleaning and disinfecting the camper that we were told was new. Lies. If I was on this trip alone, I would have left immediately. Reluctantly I paid my bill - almost $200 a night! I still feel like disputing with my charge card company because we were lied to and taken advantage of. Not sure how they live with themselves renting this camper to people. When I went to the office to complain, they had the nerve to tell me it was cleaned. I am not an idiot.

The camp map needs a lot to be desired since the sited are placed among the trees. We stayed three nights and should have stayed longer. Boulder Junction 10 miles away and Walmart 17 miles away. Rented a camper there three years ago and it was messy and had food in the kids area. Told the…read moreowners and they didn't care so we cleaned it up. New owners took over so we gave the campground another chance. Rented a pontoon boat for half the day but wasn't able to get on it until an hour after our time because "there wasn't someone certified to bring the boat around for check in" never received an hour extended on to our time to make up for the hour lost. Rented it out the next day and when we turned it back in they said there was a bunch of stuff damaged to it but there wasn't. They showed me a small rubbed mark on a cushion that I never noticed and no one was even in that area of the boat. They said the whole cushion would need to be replaced but after arguing about it they settled on me just paying them 80 dollars. We had no intentions of ever returning but this year a family member wanted to use our boat for when they camped there so we drove there to drop it off and spend the day. They rented a dock but still had to pay a boat launching fee which is crazy because if you use a dock, of course you have to launch your boat. They used the floating docks and there was no tie offs to tie the boat to so they had to use the poles of the dock. This campground is money hungry!! I have driven by the sign for years and never thought to stop thinking it was a small county park…read moreand my cabin is 10 minutes away. However, when I finally stopped, I was extremely surprised to see that it has an beautiful beach area, hiking trails, Arboretum, and some of the best mountain biking trails around! Seriously- the biking was fun! Everything was clean, clearly marked and ready for recreation. I did not camp but walked through the camping grounds and thought everything looked natural, spacious and they even have some small cabins for rent. I will definitely be back!

At first glance this place this campground seems quite nice; nice spacious level sites, with…read moreelectric. you aren't shoe horned in on top of each other and you really can't hear one another. the bathrooms by us are plenty big enough with separate individual showers. you have a typical dump and fill station on your way into your site, which is also where you'll find the garbage dumpsters. this place is clean and pretty well manicured. some easy little hiking trails to boot. our site is quite well developed and plenty of shade. The bad on our first day our new cooler was stolen, my husband had some one banging on the shower door like they were the police, and it felt like someone was outside our camper while I was alone and showering. (Antigo has quite the theft problem, so if you value you anything you have, chain it down or lock it up) The woman at the office while empathetic to our plight and apologetic, did advise me the other folks had made complaints about noise and that she would advise Tom of what happened and even asked if we wanted to give her a description of the cooler. It was our fault we should have locked it up, we wont make that mistake again. We however no longer feel comfortable here and feel pressured to not be gone long... which is sad. The showers are cleanish..the same hair was on the same soap dispenser for at least two days and the pressure is to hard and the heads are not adjustable... you'll need at minimum 2 dollars in quarters to get at best an 8-10 min shower. ps there is no buzzer or audible noise in any of the showers to let you know to add more money. Which btw is not posted on their website or the mailer form I had to fill out not on their website... so bring quarters if you want to shower in theirs. While I'm thankful I have a shower in my camper; it's not a full hook up campground; which means you'll need to fill your tanks hook up, dump maybe more than once if you are a party of more than 2. When I checked out and asked them if anyone found my soap and shampoo, he asked what brand it was and then scratched his neck, looked away and said "nope never heard of that" not sure about you but I'm a fan of body language... I'm not sorry to be leaving this place. This place reminded me very quickly of the fact that the northwoods folks are very nice and polite to one another as they know each other, but once they see your out of state vehicles plates out comes the rude behavior. The only way I'd recommend this place is if you are local to wisconsin only.

This is our favorite campground when we come up north…read more The staff is very friendly and they have a beautiful location. The booking is easy and they take all sorts of payment. It's located on Patricia Lake, which is a non-motorized, small, beautiful lake. They rent out small boats if you don't have your own! We love coming here with the pup and they're very welcoming to her. They have a small dog park and dog beach. The sites are well kept and clean. The bathrooms are cleaned often and no complaints there. We will continue to use this as our main campground!
