From the moment we arrived they were friendly, helpful, and full of great local tips. So this year we had a group of nearly 30 and while the facility housed us all well it is in very…read morepoor condition. The pictures that are on the website are not current and very misleading. The house is not as isolated like it shows, and there is not a large area between the house and water for games or the firepit. It is quite close in proximity leaving you to need to play yard games up near the driveway. As my pictures show the outside of the house is in need of some maintenance and cleaning with wasps and spiders taking up residence. Two of our family members were stung during our stay. While inside there are extension cords everywhere and the lack of outlets is very frustrating. Doors that open and shut very hard, poorly or not completely. There are bathrooms without locks on doors, no exhaust fans many of them with mold on the ceilings. The bar area in the basement was very dirty and none of the arcade games nor jute box worked, as stated they did. The grill was dirty and in very poor condition and had empty propane tanks. Overall we were saddened by the condition of the facility. For the cost we paid, we are unable to recommend this to future vacationers. We stayed in a two-queen bed suite with a separate sitting area & TV. What drew us to Cobblestone in particular is that they are dog-friendly, but you never guess that was the case by how clean and tidy the lobby, elevator, hallways, and rooms are. The beds were very comfortable, with four pillows on each bed and it was great that they had signage stating that the pillows in front were "soft" and the pillows in back were "firm." My only critique would be to have more than one person working the check-in area on a holiday weekend, as it did take quite a long time to check in with only one person manning the counter.

We did not use it, but we saw others using it. The rooms are spacious. More than enough space for my family. There is a continental breakfast in the morning. Nothing says family tradition like a trip up north for Labor Day! Sad to say, this is known to be the last year Rassmusen Cottages will be open. It is indeed a sad tid-bit of news, but all the more reason to make this year a great one! Relaxation, natural beauty, tranquility are just a few words to describe ones experience at this resort. Picture walking up to a lake so calm that it brilliantly reflects the new color changes of the first fall leaves. Whether you are looking for beautiful hiking, great kayaking and boating, or just to do nothing, this is (and now sadly was) a premier destination! The upper piney area has some spacious sites with a lot of trees and space, decent bathrooms with pay showers that last for 8 minutes. Onsite is also a bar with patio area that is pleasant, with a friendly bartender and reasonable prices on pop and beer. Lakeside sites are actually lakeview as they are across the street from the lake, and that area is more communal open area. lakefront has beach/dock area and has a place to clean fish. Rates $28 - $35/day depending on lakeview or pine and elec or tent. RV sites also have water but no sewer. There is an onsite dump station. Would recommend and stay again. other campers were very friendly!
