Each time we encountered staff (from the reservation phone call to check-in to a stop in the office for ice) they were friendly. The campground itself is pretty small and seems to be new. There isn't a lot of shade or privacy here but once the trees fill in, they'll offer more cover. There is a small office onsite that opens at 8a and offers snacks, ice and firewood for purchase. There is also complimentary coffee which was nice. We were told there was a cell phone booster at the office but we had a REALLY hard time getting service, even with that. One-stall bathrooms are available and they were insanely clean (and air conditioned!). Showers are available (a $2 donation is requested) but when my husband went to use them Sunday morning they were either closed or someone was hogging them for over 20 minutes . This was before the 8a office open time so it's possible they were just closed. There is a man-made water pond with inflatables for the kids. We don't have children ourselves so we stayed pretty clear of that and the nearby playground. Yard games are offered for guests as well but we didn't use them. They have an area for "dog exercise" but it's not that big and it's very close to other campsites - not totally sure what the purpose is but it's a nice gesture. The campground was very quiet when we were there - not even half full. Between the heat and being the weekend before the 4th, I'm sure that had something to do with it. We did notice they had a handful of permanent sites here. We would definitely camp here again.

At 5:15PM I called to cancel the ride as I was still waiting for the cab to arrive. The same female stated someone had come but couldn't "find me." What cab driver doesn't have GPS? I can't imagine how hard it is to wait for the service not provided by this company if you needed to get to the doctor or a job. Rhinelander needs a dependable transport system. So this year we had a group of nearly 30 and while the facility housed us all well it is in very…read morepoor condition. The pictures that are on the website are not current and very misleading. The house is not as isolated like it shows, and there is not a large area between the house and water for games or the firepit. It is quite close in proximity leaving you to need to play yard games up near the driveway. As my pictures show the outside of the house is in need of some maintenance and cleaning with wasps and spiders taking up residence. Two of our family members were stung during our stay. While inside there are extension cords everywhere and the lack of outlets is very frustrating. Doors that open and shut very hard, poorly or not completely. There are bathrooms without locks on doors, no exhaust fans many of them with mold on the ceilings. The bar area in the basement was very dirty and none of the arcade games nor jute box worked, as stated they did. The grill was dirty and in very poor condition and had empty propane tanks. Overall we were saddened by the condition of the facility. For the cost we paid, we are unable to recommend this to future vacationers. They're very thorough with their passenger inspections, so you want to get there with plenty of time to spare. Parking is quite easy and is only seven bucks per day if you overnight your car. If you arrive to pick up a passenger or to collect a car, do know that you have four hours of complementary parking on any entry. After the fourth hour, it becomes a full day charge which is still good it only seven dollars per day really nice and friendly associates. Well run and organized team (Delta Connections). Really friendly gate agent on departure, offering personalized service and a fond farewell. A++
