my wife and i participated in the 6pm wagon ride.a little miscommunication between steve and my family at first. he told us we could ride the 5pm ride,,, which lasts 3 hours. that would be ideal for my family.. instead luckily i called back to confirm the driving directions and he then told me to be ready for the 6pm ride , not the 5pm we originally booked. no problems here, just stinks for him that he lost business from the other 6 in my family that wanted to do the earlier ride. this ride takes you to 4 or 5 different "resorts" aka bars along the george lake. you ARE allowed to bring your own beverages but the rides in between the bars are short enough to where you really dont need that many beverages to bring along. they say this ride was kid friendly... we had 13 adults on our trip.. i dont see this being very fun for kids or for the parents of the kids. dont get me wrong some kids and parents would get along just fine... but this ride literally just stops at bars for 15-20 mins,, enough time to spin one of the wheels and have a quick drink and move on to the next one. i wish the trail ride would have been more scenic,, like actually along the water. but for only 15 bucks a person i cannot complain. the horses were newly acquired from steve.. the head guy.. he says the new horses were brother and sister. these were some large horses. steve gives you a menu to look at for "fishers" resort which is the last stop... you are allowed to browse the menu and if you choose to, steve calls in your order ahead of time,,, when we did we ordered the sampler platter and the broasted chicken special. this may have been some of the best broasted chicken i have ever had ! lots of mosquitos along the ride, so come prepared and bring bug spray. this was a good unique trip and i would recommend it for adults rather than children. read more
