When I tell y'all this was one of the best spots I hit while in Manchester! Like Everything was…read more 10/10 would recommend There's so many things to choose from, and you can practically make it however you want. They have anything from salt and pepper wings to bowls to wraps! I love the fact that there are a number of protein options and they have vegan options as well. This is a pretty chill spot where you can go to grab a bite for lunch or for dinner right after work. It's definitely a well liked spot as soon after we arrived it got rather busy. We all chose the bowls, and you can get it with either rice, fries, lettuce, or half/half. I'll tell you it's beyond filling and for a reasonable price too! I got the sticky chicken with half salt & pepper fries and half rice. Other things we ordered were the salt & pepper prawns and the beef. That beef was seasoned just right! On top of that they have a number of different sauces you can add. The sweet and sour sauce took it to another level and was my favorite followed by the garlic herb mayo. We all thoroughly enjoyed it and if you ever find your way in MCR, ‍to Salt & Pepper because you won't be disappointed!

We had SUCH fond memories of this place from a few years ago when we gave it a stellar 5 star…read morereview. This time it simply disappointed in almost every way. The service was OK, the food offerings just not enticing at all (we ended up with Caesar salads as the main, and stopped to buy some food at a Sainsbury's local and take it back to our hotel room. The cost of cocktails and mocktails was absurd. Mrs G got a mocktail that was totally tasteless for £9.50. I had a margarita that tasted good but the glass was 80% filled with the biggest block of ice that I have ever seen - for £14.50!!!! Advice - stick with beer or wine and don't even consider cocktails!!! The place is still attractive but the fact that it was virtually empty on a Friday evening at 7-8pm is maybe explained by all the foregoing??

Such a beautiful place. Inside is decorative, service was awesome as well…read more We came here for lunch, and it did not disappoint. The drinks, service and food were delish. We tried several different dishes like the Buttermilk-fried chicken, sourdough bread, mash potatoes, french fries, baked broccoli and Slow-cooked beef cheek. My favorite was the buttermilk fried chicken. Definitely can't go wrong with that. All of it was delish. So much flavor and good size to share with 3 people. We also got Sticky toffee pudding for dessert. So yummy! Definitely give it a shot.

Kimchi is a nice casual korean cafe style restaurant and the food here is limited but good quality…read moreand all priced under £10. I had the kimchi tofu jigae and the kimchi pancake which was pretty big but tasted amazing. In the jigae they also added a poached egg into it which gave it a nice taste, and the spicy factor was perfect; not too spicy. The service is average bit efficient, the food came quite quickly and another good thing is that banchan is served complimentary here, which doesn't seem to be the case with many UK korean restaurants. They also have some Japanese dishes on the menu like sushi, gyoza, temaki and teriyaki. There is parking right outside and it's pay and display but very cheap: 50p for 30 mins and £1 for an hour. The atmosphere is very casual like a cafe, so it's great for lunch as well as dinner. Overall, authentic and tasty Korean food that's well priced and made to a great standard.

I've been here a few times and have found it to be consistently decent but not fantastic. I had…read morequite tasty sausage and mash on my last visit, I was partially attracted to it because of the promised crispy onion rings but you get a tiny amount of these so don't let that be determinative. Side roasted root vegetables were quite odd - for my tastes they were too hard, a little dry and not sweet enough. Unusual because I find generally that's a reliable choice in a restaurant. My friend loved her fajitas and they were totally cool with swapping her guacamole for extra sour cream. My friend is a member so it was good value at around £22 for two mains, a side and a drink each. Without the 40% off I think it is a little pricey. Service was pretty good although watch out if you are here for lunch with limited time, it took us quite a while to get the bill so my friend ran late for getting back to work. As an aside, the Coke tasted a bit odd and came without any accompanying bottle. Might have been from the soda fountain, which would be a big negative in my book given the price, but will reserve judgment on that until I know for sure.

Our waiter was one of the hottest waiters I've ever come across and so friendly. I had the Fillet steak which was so tasty. I am also a member of the Blackhouse group and managed to get 40% off for the whole party but make sure to book in advance to get the offer as the tables do go quick! Many thanks to Grill on New York Street for making my Birthday that extra special!
