Like Everything was…read more 10/10 would recommend There's so many things to choose from, and you can practically make it however you want. They have anything from salt and pepper wings to bowls to wraps! I love the fact that there are a number of protein options and they have vegan options as well. This is a pretty chill spot where you can go to grab a bite for lunch or for dinner right after work. It's definitely a well liked spot as soon after we arrived it got rather busy. We all chose the bowls, and you can get it with either rice, fries, lettuce, or half/half. I'll tell you it's beyond filling and for a reasonable price too! I got the sticky chicken with half salt & pepper fries and half rice. Other things we ordered were the salt & pepper prawns and the beef. That beef was seasoned just right! On top of that they have a number of different sauces you can add. The sweet and sour sauce took it to another level and was my favorite followed by the garlic herb mayo. We all thoroughly enjoyed it and if you ever find your way in MCR, ‍to Salt & Pepper because you won't be disappointed!

One Sunday I went up as I could get there for opening time and decided to cross it off my list. When I got there it was already open so that was a little confusing ... but it was RAMMED. Luckily, I was going on my own so could easily be sat at the window, which was a great view, and easily got served. So many people came in after me and couldn't be seated without a reservation. But the host was very lovely and gracious and people understood. Food wise I went for the shakshuka, it sounded nice, and it really was ... it was also EXTREMELY hot because it was served in cast iron and kept its heat. It was delicious. The toast was crispy, the tomatoes were tasty, chickpeas were crunchy and a nice addition, The added sausage was very delicious, the eggs were good although I would have preferred if they had some runny yolk but its almost impossible to get that with baked eggs. Server was lovely, staff were great, absolutely need to return here when I can.

So when it came to a December trip, I knew I wanted to treat myself and go somewhere new and somewhere in Ancoats, and Elnecot popped up on my feed. Ive walked passed this place so many times and never been in and decided to change it. I booked a time and it was in-between lunch and dinner services so they still served lunch and was before the workers finished so it was quiet. Walking in, it was a lovely place. Looks upscale, looks trendy, looks cozy and it really was. The length of the restaurant has floor to ceiling windows sou can still see the beautiful buildings and people walking passed, and they had a curtain light in the window next to me so it added to the ambiance. As it was the festive period, and I wanted to be a bit fancy with a wine, I chose the Mulled wine from the festive specials menu. Then went for the welsh cheeseburger and fries and the chocolate lava cake thingy for desert. The service was nice and super quick, and the food was delicious. The mulled wine, was better than at the Christmas markets and nice and warning and warm. The burger was delicious and chips were epic. Then the desert came and OMG .. I shall let the pictures do all the talking.

We got a decent feed here althought it wasn't brilliant and I wouldn't rush back. It's interesting…read morethat this place is very close to a packed Ruby's yet we were the only dine-in customers. Our server looked lile she would rather be somewhere else but sorted our drinks and food pretty promptly. The nachos were quite good but would give the chicken wings and fries a miss. Tacos come without much sauce and you basically just add your own bottled condiments - a really good place would make their own or serve with more punch. Interestingly, you can see a major difference in my photos of the tacos versus Jonny's - his generally look much better, they do come with a sauce on the side and unlike mine aren't covered in iceberg lettuce, which seldom improves anything. The burritos looked good and thought it was cool they come with a pot of sour cream for you too add to taste. Drinks wise only one beer on tap was available which is perhaps an indication of how not busy they are. Soft drinks limited to the standard options which was a little surprising givrn most of the chains sell Mexican sodas. They do serve in gorgeous glasses, I want them! I don't think there's any seating option that isn't a high stool so if you have access issues, or like a lot of comfort, this isn't the place for you. Overall, not bad but Panchos is better for food imo.

More a cafe bar than a queue up and order counter style venue, there's some good beers, tight menu of Mexican classics and heavy leaning on burritos and tacos. The prawn and pork ones I've just eaten were fantastic, especially with some hot sauce. Friendly staff, great eclectic music and passion for authentic cooking makes it a winner in my book!
