I brought my daughter in for her first full set, she turned 13 on the 23rd. I will never go back to this place again. When we walked in I told her she wanted a full set. I didn't even notice she was getting no chip till I saw her put her hands under the light. She never asked me if I wanted her to get no chip which she should have asked! They always ask me every time I get a pedicure. Then she didn't even do anything to prep her hands she just went straight into grinding her nails to add the tips and powder. Thanks for that great first nail salon experience. This short set was $63... not worth it! Plus she cut her lil cuticle my sweetie was bleeding after we left and she didn't tell me the nail tech hurt her because she didn't want to say anything in front of her cuz she didn't want to make the lady feel bad. read more

I've found that most places are either quick (and sloppy) or thorough/careful (and I'm there forever). The nice woman who did my nails was both fast and precise. Also, they have great ventilation. The first time I went it was wonderful. I believe the daughter did my nails. I was so excited she did a wonderful job. I went the second time 30 mins before closing and the mother said we are closed. So I went the next day they let me wait for a hour then said we are close. There were six people sitting and waiting, They took the five ladies then told me a hour later they were closed. I asked her if she could take a nail off that I wan't successful with getting off. The mother state, "you want to wait just to have your nail taken off." I have heard bad reviews from other places, and nothing but good news from here. I have been here 3 times now and have been pleased every time. My daughter loves the kids pedicure chair and has her very own nail girl, Vivian. She is really cute with her. I prefer the no chip manicure myself. Went to Great Nail 7/17/20. They instructed me to wait in a chair two feet from the current client and then did not wipe down area before having me take her seat. The manicurist didn't not wash her hands or use sanitizer before reaching for my hands. I left and went down 45 to Happy Nail, who even takes clients temperatures before providing services. Great Nail nail salon is not practicing standard cleaning guidelines and there is no social distancing, although they did wear masks. read more

I have been to Great Nails over 10 years. And its been hit or miss with this nail salon and staff. It's outdated but some what clean. BUT today was the end of my business with Great Nails. I walk in at 1015am 2 customers both was seniors. And the staff was rude one of the seniors comment that she had cut nail and it was bleeding. No first aid was administered other than a cotton ball. Then the staff used the same nail clippers she had blood on dipped in the foot bath. And put back in the box for the next victim or should I say customer. Then when it was time to pay the staff said to the seniors its a fee for the debit and credit cards. Could the pay cash then when the seniors open there wallet. The staff said you going to tip and my heart went out to both seniors. Because you don't have to tip when services is this bad. After what I witness why does Griffith Health Department or Business Commence. Take a eyewitness look at the conditions at Great Nails. This is Elder Abuse and bad business practice. The front door has all credit cards and debit icons. I never made to pedicure chair due to treatment of customer and first aid in the work place. I have been coming here for years and the service has always been great I love the outcome. I'm sad to say I won't be coming back again usually the staff is super nice but this new employee was super rude! She paid no attention through out the entire pedicure and did the bare minimum! When it was time to pay for 3 pedicure she insisted I give her more not knowing that the other two people would be tipping separately! I felt personally attacked! Both nail salons I normally use on 45th Ave in Griffith were closing so I tried this place. When I walked in they looked at me strange. I got a mani pedi. I was never put under a heat lamp for the pedi but she wanted me to put my shoes on after the manicure so I wouldn't take the paper shoes... that is never discussed at the other places. On top of that there attitudes left a lot to be desired. When she would finish polishing one hand, she would "throw" it back towards the heat lamp! I carefully looked at my nails when I got to the car and there are spaces on some. I will not be returning... even if they are the only ones open. read more

I only came here because I was desperate, when you step in, looks so dingy, dark and pounding music next store, great customer service and if you pick a color they press you to pick a "nicer" color... um no I want this color! This is my first visit to this nail salon upon moving to this area from Chicago and it will be my last. i love the quality of the work they do for the price there is a bit of a wait but its only because there is not that many people working. BUT, my last time going there, which was Saturday May 11th, my nail lady was INCREDIBLY rude to me. i had to change my no chip color two times because the first time they were out and the second it did not match. with the little selecton they had she was hounding me to find a color and she pointed out a color but i had a similar color priar to me coming. she yelled something and did not come back for ten minutes to finish my nails. totally unacceptable and i will be calling to discuss it. and after this i left and gave her a $3 tip because of th bad service and she literally said "huhhhh" i just thought that was totally rude. read more

This place is a neighborhood favorite. They have a special that includes free paraffin, much needed for cold dry weather. They do quite a few children & men, so perfect for Mother-daughter or Couples visit. Their customer service is quite good. And I've been coming here for at least 2 years if not more. Awful! Just awful. Not only are they not capable of doing nail art or correctly painting nails, they don't know how to put your nails on straight or do your fill ins accurately. After a few different people took turns doing my nails very rushed I noticed my fill ins were visible and uneven. There was in air under my acrylics and I was overcharged. They refused to refund me and I had to file a dispute with my credit card company. I don't recommend this place at all. read more

15 dollar pedicure. 5 dollars extra if you want the shortest massage you've ever gotten. Barely worth the money because its over before you know it. But for 15 bucks a pedicure is a deal. Best place to get your nails done in Griffith or Highland. They are very nice and friendly. They do their very best to make you comfortable. They always do a great job on my pedicures and no chip manicures. I go here all the time to get my nails done. I've tried all the other places in the area and these ladies have the best selection of nail polish and the most comfortable environment.
