This company recently installed a new roof and gutters on our home and garage. They were the lowest bid while including more services than other companies. Doug, the owner is very knowledgeable and professional. He fully explained all work to be completed and the quality products his company uses. The crew arrived on time, did an outstanding installation job and clean up was very good. When Doug came to inspect the roof and gutter installation and collect the balance, I signed another contract with his company! The roof and gutter experience was so great we've hired Evansen Builders to replace all the window trim and fascia. Since his roof and gutter bid was so great, we didn't even get a second estimate for this work. The overall experience with Evansen builders was outstanding and their work and product line is excellent!

The new dark shingles gave my house a complete face lift, a new look and I couldn't be happier. They went above and beyond in so many ways. Their entire team was professional, competent and continually kept me updated and was a joy to work with. They pointed out areas that needed repair that could have caused issues down the road that other roofers didn't even acknowledge. They also did an extra job that wasn't "roof related" but had the ability to do. This saved me from hiring another contractor. We ran into a little "snafu" (which can happen!) but they addressed it expeditiously and efficiently. I would highly recommend them! I trusted them which is so crucial in making such a large investment. And of course, get other bids. But no one will be able to match what they can and will do. Thanks to all involved!!

We expected our roof and gutters to last longer than three years, and unfortunately that is not the case. We invested in seamless gutters that were supposed to be customized and properly secured to our building, but that is not at all what we received. Community Roofing did not properly fasten the gutters to the fascia, so they are falling off of the building. In some sections, Community Roofing sloped the gutters toward our house instead of the downspouts, creating water intrusion problems. The shingles are already starting to look shabby and some have nails starting to protrude. The customer service has been even worse than the workmanship. We reached out to Community Roofing repeatedly and they just blew us off.

Each step along the way we felt well communicated with and valued as a customer. Competitive pricing and overall all a great value. We had planned on doing a west facing wall but after showing Dave around at our problem areas and weighing the return on investment we decided on the attic. The first team removed all the old insulation with a giant vacuum, the took about 5 hours, the next team came the following day and sprayed in the new foam. There was one little issue that caused damage to the ceiling. They handled the issue like a professional company. They quickly let us know about the issue and had a repair scheduled the same day. Look at the pictures they did a great job!

This company seems to have communication issues? I had the salesman make an appointment at his…read moreinitial visit. He called the office and they gave me an install date. A few days later the same lady called and wanted to make an appointment date? Then, they were going to come the Friday before to install a cover on an attic fan we have. They called Thursday to install an attic stairs? I told them it was only an enclosure. She said it was not needed to come then, they would do it during the insulation install? A half hour later they called back and wanted to come anyway to make the enclosure. She told me she would call in the morning with the time of arrival. At 8:30 my doorbell was ringing, they were already here? Never got a call? The guys arrived in unmarked car and pickup truck (looked like their own vehicles?) It was raining hard so I let them use my garage to cut their materials but they had to go to the local big box store to get them! They did a good job and left. The guy even made a cover for me to cover the fan in the winter months but left it off as the sealant was still wet, he did not want to get cover stuck. On install day I finally got a text saying they were on their way at 8:45am. A marked truck showed up this time pulling a trailer. He said another crew was also on the way. He said they would go up and start the air sealing (I was not getting air sealing?) and install the baffles. He had to call the shop to find out there was no air sealing! They went up to install baffles and I told him about the cover the guy left off. After a bit they came down and said they were done, just waiting on the other crew? I went up the ladder to see the work they had done, they got the baffles up but glued on the cover to the enclosure! I told him the cover was supposed to be removable, he said he would remove it and clean off the glue. Once the guys showed up with the insulation blower it only took a few moments before their machine broke down. They attempted to fix it with no luck. They finally left and came back with a rental from a big box store? They tried again, the stuff was moving slow but it was now at least moving. That did not last long! It finally quit blowing altogether and another guy brought some other insulation. That did not work either, so they went back to the store and got another unit. It finally worked. When they were done I went in to get a check to pay them. When I came out the guy had the ladder up to the attic already closed and was cleaning up. It was now 5:30 pm and I was leaving early the next morning to be gone for 5 days. I never got a chance to check out the final job? Everyone was tired so I thought It would be fine, I'd look when I got home? Once home the following Sunday I did not get to look, Monday was a blizzard outside, Tuesday I had appointments and had out of town visitors arriving. I finally looked the the job on Wednesday. Boy was I disappointed. At least one of the baffles had already fallen down, one was completely plugged with insulation and most of the bays were not even full of insulation! I sent an e-mail to the salesman, he answered he was sorry and would let the office know. I never heard from them in two days? I sent another e-mail to the office directly on Sunday evening, as of Monday night I still have no reply? I paid the bill in good faith an ddid not demand they put the ladder back up to inspect the work. Nobody else inspected the kids work either that sprayed the insulation? The job Is not done and they don't seem to care to call back?? I would not recommended his company!

While the initial communication was professional, the final result was disappointing. They subcontracted the work, which I wasn't fully informed about upfront, and the quality of the work clearly reflected that decision. The attention to detail was lacking, and even today, if you closely inspect my home, you can still see the inconsistencies in the work. When I reached out to the company to express my concerns--not only about the aesthetic issues but also about water spots and condensation forming on my ceiling--their response was slow. Jeff quickly dismissed my concerns, suggesting I get a second opinion if I wasn't satisfied with their work or that I could refer to the installation instructions. Upon reading the instructions, I found that their contractor hadn't fully completed the job, which added more items to the list. They agreed to come back to make repairs, but the crew that arrived simply removed most of the tape I had placed and poorly applied globs of caulk around my home. I requested another walk-through of my home, and they sent Jordan out. While he was more pleasant and professional, he was still slow to respond and made me feel as though I was asking too much. As of today, four months after the initial work was completed, they've fixed what they could, applied a lot of caulk, and hope they've found the cause of the leak on my ceiling but have failed to address the condensation that forms down an entire exterior wall. Here's to putting this project behind me, while I'll have to learn to accept the poor workmanship, I'm just hoping I don't encounter issues down the road.

We had JA HomeWorx complete three jobs for us totally around $100,00. The first one was great:…read morereasonable price and quality work. The second job had issues throughout the process. First, the work is completed by subcontractors, and while the quality is great, communication is lacking. Jobs are rushed, and details are overlooked. The second job JA HomeWorx completed was at our rental in Platteville for hail damage. The repairs involved replacing gutters, the roof, and some siding. Again, the quality of their subcontractors was excellent, but details were overlooked. The three main issues were that the window flashing was not the correct color, a gutter was placed incorrectly, and water meters were removed and thrown away. They did give me a credit for the incorrect flashing color and helped the city replace the water meters. The gutter issue wasn't fully resolved, but I accepted their solution after it was moved twice. I have attached pictures. The house did not have a gutter running down the front; their subcontractors installed the gutters without knowledge of where the original ones were located. They did make multiple trips to try and resolve this issue, but this job was rushed, and details were overlooked. Jordan admitted that this job was rushed to get it completed ASAP because we were selling the house. The third job was also for hail damage on a four-unit condo building. The one issue was I was promised that we would schedule the repairs so I could be onsite (I didn't want details overlooked again). I was very frustrated that I was not given any notification that repairs were going to be made and only became aware of them when notified by one of the owners who were home.
