He showed up on Friday at my house and promised to install tiles on coming Wed. On Wed, he said he wouldn't able to come but would make it on Thursday. On Thursday he said again he couldn't come but would "definitely" come on Friday. On Friday he still didn't come. It's a new construction and the delay had caused economic damages. I threatened to sue him - then he revealed his evil part further. He said we didn't have a written contract! So I had to deal with the delays, the stress and additional cost to get someone else to complete the work. When I prepare lawsuit documents, I discovered his license was suspended although the license number is still on his website. https://www.cslb.ca.gov/OnlineServices/CheckLicenseII/LicenseDetail.aspx?LicNum=840140 I hope this would give a heads-up to someone who is thinking about hiring him.

Months later, I noticed that some grout was cracking on the bathtub/shower surround. This wasn't his job; that fired contractor had remodeled the bathroom, and I wasn't going to call THAT guy. I called Glen this morning and he was out here this afternoon to fix the problem. His rates are more than reasonable, his expertise is reassuring, and his work is excellent.

From day one, they did exactly what they said they were going to do. They showed up on time every morning, communicated clearly throughout the project, and even sent me progress photos every evening before they left so I always knew what had been accomplished. What impressed me most was how much they genuinely cared about the quality of their work and about making sure I was happy every step of the way. They kept the work area incredibly clean (which is so rare), and I never felt like I was living in a construction zone. They also went above and beyond by helping with things that weren't really their responsibility, including assisting with installing my bathroom cabinet and helping with the countertop. That level of professionalism and kindness is hard to find. I received several bids before starting this project, and while they weren't the cheapest, they were worth every penny. You may forget the money you saved by hiring the lowest bidder, but you will definitely remember the headache of having to redo bad work. Choosing these guys saved me from that. Even my kids were sad when the project was over because they had gotten so used to seeing them every day! They work fast, communicate well, take pride in what they do, and deliver beautiful results. If you're on the fence, just hire them. I would recommend them to my family and friends without hesitation.

When I moved into my house in 2023 I got new flooring and the previous company did such a horrible job that the tiles started cracking right away. I finally had to do something about it. Looking for what felt like forever I finally found Hurtado's Tile and Stone. I was greeted with a warm and friendly man named Richard. We came to an agreement to do my kitchen/laundry as well as my office and outdoor tile. He helped me so much along the way with picking tile, giving advice and even getting me good deals. The projected started and his dad Efren and brother Brian started the job right on time (this has never happened and I have dealt with a lot of contractors/workers). They continue their work and were always communicating and on time. This is unheard of for me. He even helped me find someone to do another job I needed which also turned out amazing. The flooring came out exactly how I wanted it, so beautiful! The quality of work is amazing. But what is even better is they are just great people. They cleaned up after themselves and were so respectful. I honestly couldn't recommend them enough.

The work was so well done, we returned to get a backsplash done. JUST LOOK AT THE PHOTOS. Amazing work, and honestly, Brett came up with the design. We left one day thinking all dark tile, came back in another day and he's like, "I've been thinking all week about your space." Who does that? He knew we wanted something interesting and we got to play with the tiles in the store until we were 100% satisfied. Dominic was nice too, but we mostly saw Brett on Saturdays. I also felt very welcomed and he spoke to me just as equally as to my husband. (Ladies, you know what I mean.) Just shop here. Take samples of what you're trying to match with and you'll be taken care of. We will be back for the bathroom later.

They were referred to us by my parents who used them in their house ~15 years ago!! You couldn't ask for more down to earth, good, honest, talented people to work with. The brother-duo are exceptional at their craft and they make sure to protect everything the moment they walk onto your property. We've had some other work done at our house and no one else made sure every inch of flooring was covered and protected (inside and out--and even on top of the covering we already put down on our floors!) and they covered our cabinets/countertops so well!! We had no doubt everything was going to be the way it was before they started--and it was was. They started on a Thursday, putting a skim coat down on all the walls, came back on Friday and did laid the first half of the room's tile, then came back on Monday to lay the rest of the tile, and by Tuesday grout was done! They cleaned up remarkably well after themselves too. I can honestly say we have never had the joy of working with better guys who made us feel confident in their craft, trust them in our home, and just happy to talk to! I just wish I called them before I decided to try tiling my bathroom floor myself! :D They truly transformed our kitchen and we couldn't be happier. Thank you guys!! PS--I will post pictures of their work when we finish painting so you guys can see for yourself :)

After talking to Mike we started to see a light at the end of the tunnel. Mike provided by far more affordable and higher quality work and product than any of more expensive competitors. Mike worked with us patiently on designs as we made constant changes to architecture. Mike is very good listener and understands customer needs. He gave us more than we ever thought we'd get. Mike's schedule was spot on, I'm still surprise how accurate was his timeframe. His cost estimate included everything from kitchen sink (literally) to cabinet handles so we did not have any surprises at the end. Mike even gave us two pull-out drawers as a gift to our new kitchen. Pete who installed all the tiles, backsplash and assemble the cabinets was very knowledgeable, patient and pleasant to work with. Pete was always on time; he would always keep us posted what is going on and what is going to happen next. Jack who installed the countertops made the prefab look like high-end granite. People still ask what kind of stone is it and which country I had it shipped from. At the end I was looking to update my kitchen I ended up with this super cool brand new high-end kitchen thanks to Custom Home Improvement Center, Mike and his team. With Mike you don't need to check his competitors, just give him the job, sit back and enjoy.
