The staff here are rude and nasty. The work done especially by Dr Hira is terrible. She saves down your teeth for no reason. She's rude and aggressive. The hygienist are rude as well. I booked an emergency appointment with Dr. Ravneet Hira for excruciating wisdom tooth pain I've been struggling with for over a year due to insurance delays. From the start, she claimed to have reviewed my chart but immediately began correcting me about my own history. When I mentioned past experiences, she confidently "corrected" me about locations and details -- only to later be proven wrong. Instead of listening and focusing on my urgent pain, she was dismissive and condescending. She briefly looked in my mouth, ignored my obvious wisdom tooth pain, and instead focused on an old chipped tooth that hasn't caused me any issues for over a year. She told me a crown on that tooth should be my "biggest concern," wrote a prescription for antibiotics, handed me yet another referral for my wisdom teeth, and sent me on my way. The next day I had a cleaning with a different dentist, Dr. Bracha Ollech, who was the complete opposite: she immediately recognized that my wisdom teeth were decaying and personally called oral surgeons to help me get treatment quickly. On top of the poor care, Dr. Hira's bedside manner was extremely unprofessional. She laughed about my financial situation, made a snide remark about affording a $35 X-ray, and even commented that I "should get off my mommy's insurance" -- without knowing anything about my personal circumstances. She also gave me unsolicited, judgmental comments about birth control after prescribing antibiotics, without understanding that I'm on it for medical reasons (PCOS), not for "partying" as she implied. Overall, I left feeling humiliated, dismissed, and without the urgent care I needed. This was one of the worst dental experiences I've ever had. If you want a dentist who listens, cares, and treats patients with respect, I would not recommend Dr. Hira. Everybody else in the office is absolutely lovely and genuinely cares about their patients -- I owe a huge thank-you to Bracha Ollech, truly one of the best dentists I've ever been to. read more

i have to say that I didnt have a good experience here. I came here for multiple cleanings and had a filling done. Wait time is longer Dr Lee was rushing and struggling with my tooth. Took her a long time to get it semi fixed. she was also rude to her assistant. My tooth had to be re-done because she left a big gap in between my teeth so every time i would eat something, a big chunk of food is left stuck in between that tooth she semi fixed. Ive never had this happen to me before but my jaw was so painful afterwards and the corner was my mouth was so sore. She seemed rough with everything.. i dont think her technique is good and I never want her to touch me again. I switched to a different dentist that is further away from me but so happy that i did! read more

Was here with my boyfriend for his 2:30 appt, he enjoys the dentists but front desk has some communication issues. We walked in on time for his appt for them to say they canceled it due to no verbal confrontation...that was a big shock! He checked his phone and he only received a reminder text the day prior and one phone call 5 days ago! To cancel an appt is actually crazy!! Luckily for us, they canceled another appointment to fit him in although we left the building and the front desk Lady chased us down in the parking lot to let us know. It was nice of her but canceling an appt is very unprofessional. They said it was due to people not showing up, that shouldn't be our problem. To try and gaslight us into thinking that's normal for an establishment to do was extra shocking... Also be aware they have a hard time paying attention to insurances listed on your file. My boyfriend has had issues in the past with them charging him a bill and him having to explain his insurance does cover it. I had my very first appointment today and was asked to arrive at 8:45am for my 9am so I can fill out forms. I arrived at 8:41 and was taken back a little after 9am, not a problem. This office while nice aesthetically, lacks the staffing it needs. The location is huge but today they had 2 hygienists and 1 dentist which they made sure to mention since it was almost 11 and I was STILL there. The girl taking care of my x-rays was great. After my xrays, I was brought into the room for my cleaning with the Hygienist. The only strange thing was me having to carry around my forms....I didnt understand the point of that. Once I was in the chair waiting for the Hygienist, everything was great. I suffer from extreme sensitivity so using the machine to clean my teeth is not really an option for me. The Hygienist proceeded to do it manually, which was fine. However, I noticed he went straight to polishing after the cleaning which was pretty quick. He also did not floss my teeth after which I have always had done and I'm sure is always done after. He was great personality wise, but I can't help but wonder if they have him cutting back on what SHOULD be done. Most dentist offices also give you a free toothbrush, toothpaste and floss, but I didn't get anything. I was then transferred to another room after waiting about 25 minutes or so. After about 1 hour of waiting, the dentist finally came in. She immediately went into discussing what they thought I needed to have done. She did not check the cleaning job I had done. I also noticed they charge separately for everything - oral cancer screening & fluoride. I've NEVER had to pay for any of that. I have 2 insurances, and I was actually told I could call and give the billing codes and see what would be covered because it was a long process. That is not MY job and it is extremely unprofessional for anyone to put that on a patient. Aside from that the woman in the front who is either Filipino or Asian was extremely rude (I am saying this because I don't want the other women in the front confused with her) . From the moment she walked in she looked like she was unhappy and called out another employees name and signaled with her head for her to "come to the front". I can only imagine how hard it must be working with someone like her. I'm assuming she has some type of managerial role, but this practice needs to really consider who they have at the front desk because that is who patients see when they arrive and they set the tone for the experience they are going to have. I witnessed her slamming the phone down after speaking with a patient and lying to them saying she was with a patient when she wasn't, she was chatting with another employee. She needs to be trained better and humbled because her attitude is horrible. Any time the phone rings, they pick up and place the caller on hold even though they aren't on a call or with a patient, OR even better...they just let it ring. I will not be returning to this location. It felt more like a factory. It seems like they are trying very hard to add on additional costs that you really don't need while lacking in other areas and depriving you of simple things like a toothbrush and floss. I'm pretty sure they get samples of it and/or can afford to provide it for patients who come for a cleaning. Unfortunately, it seems nowadays most dental practices are lacking professionalism and are very greedy. Our teeth are an important part of our identity and to think that anyone, especially a Dental practice would be abusing people by not providing the proper care is disgusting. DO BETTER!!!! read more

pros they take my insurance the front desk gals are attentive & friendly. A year ago I waited for my cleaning and because the practice was small they had to get me to another room for the exam and back into the original room after that.i did not get an exam by the dr who consequently left the practice. now they have a new location and I had a nice dr with plan of action dr fassman and a cleaning by a nice lad , Liam. 6 mnths after Liam is gone but I had a another Hygenist. this lady named C. Slipped the scaler as she was scaling my teeth an scratched my gums which hurt and I twitched as my gums are sensitive. not once but twice. she did not say I'm sorry. she was trying to get a spot and told me I can't get this off and was heavy handed.i said leave it. I had no dental exam or X-rays as their computers were down. now I have to make another appt to get an exam. I will go back as the dentist is good. I will just ask for a gentler Hygenist. read more

I have been going here since I moved to Monroe 8 years ago. I never had any issues previously, but nothing great, either. I've gone for my checkups/cleanings, and I've also had extensive work done. On 12/11/23 I had my 6 month check up/cleaning. The X-Ray machines were down, so they couldn't check me more than the cleaning. The hygienist I had was someone I had never had before, and I was not a fan. The water wasn't being drained from my mouth, I felt like I was being water boarded. The dentist never even came in to look at my teeth, and I wasn't told by the hygienist of any potential issues. Now I'm having really bad teeth pain. I called to make an appointment to be seen about this and the lady who answered the phone said "We have nothing, call somewhere else." I have never experienced something like that in my life. Not we're pretty booked up, the first appointment we have is X, but we can put you on the cancellation list, etc. She was just absolutely not interested in helping me figure it out. When I asked if they had absolutely no appointments, she said they did, but not for a while. I told her I was a long time patient, in case the issue was not taking new patients, it was not. I asked her to schedule me for what they did have available, which she reluctantly looked up. Turns out it was just a couple days away, which she would've known if she had taken my call seriously from the beginning. Needless to say I have found a new dentist and will not be returning to this one. This is not how you treat not only long time patients, but anyone. What type of dentist office doesn't have at least a couple of emergency appointments open? And who wants to deal with staff that treats them so poorly? read more

I love my dental hygienist, but unfortunately, I have to switch out of this office. Sally, the office manager, lacks training in customer service and organization. I showed up 15minutes early to my appointment only to find out she canceled it due to "inability to confirm." She proceeded to show me the paperwork I signed where their policy is stated, and at the same time, I pointed out the phone number she called is different than what I provided. I have been going to Great Expressions Dental for two years and have always had a good experience there. The front desk people are very professional, friendly and polite. The office is clean and well kept. Dr. Bauer is very knowledgeable and skilled. He repaired my chipped molar with a resin filler without pain or any discomfort. No novacaine! He was done in 15 minutes and told me there is no charge! That was wonderful news since my insurance did not cover the procedure. I thank Dr. Bauer for his kindness and generous time and skill! We were denied service due to our Covid screening questions, even though we tested negative for Covid. The office manager was very rude to me and demanded PCR Covid test. She denied our appointment and yelled at me for entering without mask which I was provided at the office and wore it. I found her behavior unprofessional and rude. I've had problems with one broken tooth for several years, and my previous dentist insisted on trying to fix it over and over. I recently switched dentists due to a change in insurance, and I couldn't be happier. After an initial consult and x-rays, Dr. Kass listened to what I wanted (to just pull the tooth) and they fit me into the schedule right away. My appointment was for 10am; I got there a few minutes early and they took me right in. He was completely finished and I was back at the reception desk to check out at 10:03! I couldn't believe it. No pain, no problems. All the staff is very helpful and friendly and I couldn't happier. I never would have thought I'd be so happy to get a tooth pulled! I've had nothing but good experiences with great expressions in Monroe. As someone who has had multiple teeth issues and all sorts of procedures done and was terrified of the dentist, Dr. Bauer alleviated my fear is when having to do three root canals on me that were not bad at all. At different times of course. I do not feel that they look for problems that are not there and feel they try to work with you regarding what treatments you need and a treatment plan. I am only basing this rating off of one visit (my first at this place), which just involved a routine teeth cleaning. I have nothing to complain about, and have definitely been to ruder, worse dentists. They took me on time, the woman who took the x-rays of my teeth was very sweet, the dental hygienist who cleaned my teeth was also nice and gave me several samples of floss threaders to take home for free (after I asked for them, that is), and the dentist was nice and quick. The x-rays took the longest out of this whole procedure, and I feel like my teeth are clean after the experience. I told the hygienist that I felt plaque at the back of my front teeth, and before she left she made sure to ask if I felt like my teeth were cleaner in that spot (they were). The hygienist suspected a cavity, and the dentist confirmed it from the x-rays. Overall, I'd go back for another cleaning in 6 months and to have my cavity filled. read more

customer service is terrible. Called about a filling that fell out, Not a tiny filling, a huge filling. They told me they have nothing for months and can't see me til then and to call another place. I Asked if It is ok to wait with a hole in my mouth, I got a "yea that's usually what happens" instead of some direction as to how to keep the area clean/safe Til I can have an appt. i Wish it wasn't the only dentist in the area that takes my insurance because I would NOT go there. they also told me I didn't need a root canal in the tooth the filling came out in, at my appt a few weeks ago. Dr Anoia is the dentist for me. She considers herself to be a conservative dentist, and that suits me well. She shared so much information with me as I asked her questions important to my dental health. I chose to immeditely make my 6month follow up visit, because I am looking forward to my next visit. I went to this location for the first time and found it to be a little intimidating. There are no walls for privacy between exam rooms which was not comfortable as everyone could hear all conversations going on. I had 2 hygienists who came in to work with me and both of them asked me very rude and inappropriate questions regarding an elective surgery I had listed on my chart. This had NOTHING to do with my teeth or mouth or face at all and they were asking me ridiculously personal and unprofessional questions. I felt so uncomfortable and corned like I had to answer them as these people were doing work on me! I will never be able to go back there as I cannot even begin to explain how horrible I felt leaving, knowing these 2 women were discussing my personal information. I tried this dental office when my insurance changed. I booked a late appointment as I work far. I was called 2 days before and asked if I could make it for 5:30pm as opposed to the later time I had scheduled. I explained I couldnt but would get there as early as possible. I get there earlier than planned and after a brief wait, my cleaning began. During my clean, a dentist came and joked with the hygienist and left. Long story short, the hygienist told me at the end while still working on my teeth that the dentist didn't realise a patient was still there so he left. As soon as I could talk, I expressed my frustration as now no one could read the over 10 X-rays they took nor give a final evaluation. The hygienist was adamant he forgot except he came and joked with her before leaving, so at what point did he forgot? They flippantly asked me to return on the weekend for the dentist to see me.. needless to say I will not be needing their sloppy services again. After seeing how mad I was, they switched the story to say he wasn't feeling well. Either way, the missing dentist never apologised to me and instead another Dentist called with not much to say except I need to return on the weekend. I don't recommend them at all. They have no respect for people's time!!!! read more

I have been going to this office since I was little. My dentist sold his practice to this new staff who are rude and lack compassion. After forgetting to put my emergency appointment in the system and then having me wait for over an hour, I was finally told what I already knew in which the dentist could not do anything for me that day. I expressed how I was in pain and she (Dr. Tamika Anoia) proceeded to tell me I did not have an appointment, which she neglected to care that her incompetent staff did not put my emergency appointment in the system. After pleading with Dr. Anoia because I was in pain, she then passive aggressively told me she would skip lunch and not eat anything that day so she could work on my mouth. At that point, I lost all trust and would not let someone with that type of attitude work on my teeth. She was beyond rude. It was a completely different atmosphere in that office, everyone I encountered was rude, with the exception of one hygienist, Iris, who genuinely felt bad that I requested my files be transferred and I would no longer be a patient at that office. I wish I could give negative stars. The new dentist I am seeing in Warwick NY is great, and they have heard similar stories about Great Expressions. Truly appalling. read more
